Blizzard Entertainment supports the tyrannical government of China. Blizzard Entertainment ends the careers of those who dare dissent against their chinese overlords. And they're not the only ones...

In other news, Republicans in Oregon have laid siege to the state capital, shutting down the democratic process. They have the support of right-wing militia groups who have shot at police before.

Bio

I've been on and off this website for six years now. Right now I've only barely got time for one RP, and even then I mess that up. Trying to be more consistent and online more often, because I really do enjoy online roleplaying. Hopefully, one day I'll be able to write as much as I used too. Until then, I shall brood gloomily in the shadows.

Life goes on! Hobbies change and so do schedules. I hate ghosts, so I'm trying to put myself to rest as best I can with a status and bio officially marking my departure. If I'm going to do any writing, it's going to be working on that book I always wanted to finish.

@Drifting Pollen

Yeah, we need more than two freelancers. With only two freelancers, this is looking to be a K9 victory, and that's not really the point.

Also, I think I'm obligated to just respond to @LokiLeo789 like right now, so I'm gonna do that.
@Doc Doctor
sounds like a plan

@LokiLeo789
Yeah, but like
how?

Real talk: I can say with a decent amount of certainty that nobody here knows anything about how Criminal networks truly operate. I can also assume that nobody has tracked anyone else down to kill them, or created a false identity.

Basically, we have to leave our little game we're playing here almost entirely in the realm of fiction. Because if we don't, things aren't going to go well. Everyone's going to have different ideas on how to do this. Do we just make up the locations of the enemies on the spot? What's even the point, then? Or, do we have the GM create an entire criminal underground with clues to lead us to their locatioN? How the fuck is the GM going to do that? is that even possible for a human to do without the fun being sucked out of it???? It's just like what the hell.

That's why I think the only reasonable solution is "" and just go for the gold. We go, and we capture a dude, "WHERE ARE THE DRUGS GOING!?" And then get interrupted by the killers after K9. Then the chase begins. Cat and mouse. Dramatic series of events that somehow lead to 1v1's on top of a biplane being piloted by the Red Baron. We have to start it out somehow, yeah?
@LokiLeo789

did you even look at your own character when you were typing that btw??? XD

How would we even have fun roleplaying a scenario where we were just hiding

do you wanna play a game where we are just hiding?

I don't

that sounds boring AF

"once upon at time the K9 hid until they were blown up the end"

edit:
pressed sumbit too early hold on

Okay so, "Assassinations of father, research, informants, that is the direction I feel K9 should be taking, if they were smart."
not really sure what that means. You mean we should be assassination key figures? make sense. but we don't know where they are. so to me, it makes sense that we would fuck up the little guys a little bit, and find clues. plus, it makes for a convenient reason for the Freelancers to find our tails, other than "I USED MY PRO HACKER SKILLS" assassination would probably only involve like, one guy. find a window or something and shoot the guy. Unless you want to stealth RP. I've never done stealth in text form before, but i have to say it doesn't sound like a blast.

Rper:"I waited until he looked the other way and snuck past."

GM: What why would he turn the other way?? Edit your post nerd

Rper:"I shot him and dragged his body into a closet."

GM:"No way, you would be detected"

Rper:"i fucking leave the building"

it's just

no bueno
@Doc Doctor
Welp

I just made up my own situation and posted it a second before you said that
sorry

i will change my post if you had something in mind
@Kidd@Bombardier

Maja stared at Miles, though it's be difficult to tell for him due to the sunglasses.

"No, Mr. Thorn, we shall be hunting down Ireland's finest with our vehicles so kindly provided to us by Mr. Donovan. Now, a friend of mine mentioned there were group of the Irish Mob posted in an abandoned construction sight. If my information is still relevant, there is estimated eleven gunmen on sight. Product is delivered to the construction sight from a yet-to-be-seen location, from there it is distributed onto the streets. One of the few distribution centers the Irish mob have, and I think it would be in true K9 spirit if we made them an example for the rest. 8501 Atomic Avenue is the place."

She raised her arm at the elbow and let her silenced handgun point towards the ceiling.

"Shall we make our way to our vans, gentlemen? I do not think our hosts want to be kept waiting."
Without waiting for a response, she turned on her heel and made her way outside to where the vans were being stored. There was no time for shenanigans, for if seriousness and cooperation was ever need in K9, it would be in a time where their power was being challenged.

@Doc Doctor
Should we just...go to an enemy hideout we make up?
Levita offered Turk her spear, but either Turk didn't hear her or didn't want it because he didn't respond to the offer. "Roight!"

He kneeled and cut into one of the fish's sides with his knife. He dug around in there with his reptillian fingers. He knew the anatomy of a fish back home, and this new fish seemed to mimic it's design. There were a few differences, but no suspicious looking sacks 'o poison.

"Looks good to eat, I'll go ahead and test it out, then."
He cut the head off of the fish and took a bloody bite out of it. One odd thing about being an Urloj that many nations seem to find strange is the preference of raw fish over cooked ones. He stared blankly into the distance for a small while, before swallowing. He raised an eyebrow (or part of his face right over his eye).

"I, uh..." He took another bite, and another blank stare followed.

"That's a really good fish right there." He wiped the blood off his mouth. He eyed the two other fish he'd caught. He hoped they were as good as this one; Because this fish was unbelievably excellent. This New World fish was new and strange tasting to the traditional ones of the Old World, but they were so in a way that made them taste like a dream. Taste like a dream? "Taste like a dream." He mumbled to himself. He stood to his feet. Yep. Good eating tonight.

He was so caught up in his fish gutting and eating that he would not be the one to find someone new who had just woken up on the beach.
I'll put another post up tomorrow

Black Magic? That set off alarm bells somewhere in the back of Maverick's mind. Her attention was quickly drawn away from the subject when Nergal returned with the news that the offices were clear.

Phone Freak began dishing out orders that all sounded reasonable, and apparently "Black Magic"'s transformation powers were very potent. Sealing all the exits sounded good, and Maverick was just fine with the civilians being kept up on the upper floors of the building, where it was safe. At least, safer than down here, where a gunfight was sure to erupt and second now. In the mean time, Maverick needed somewhere to be where she could be useful. She did glanced around the lobby and thought she thought she could have saw something move behind the receptionists desk. Maverick effortlessly vaulted over it, which drew a yelp from a receptionist in her thirties, frantically pressing at a silent alarm button.

Maverick exhaled. She leveled her handgun at the receptionist and made the international symbol for a phone, as in extending her thumb and little finger, closing the rest of her digits and than placed it next to her left ear. The receptionist reached into a pocket and pulled out a smart phone. Maverick took it from her and placed it on the granite top desk. She focused for a split second, and the tingling sensation made it's way into her palm. She pressed onto the smart phone gently, the tingling sensation traveled into the smart phone, and it shattered like it had been smacked by a sledgehammer.

She glanced at the receptionist again and put her index finger to her mouth (where her mouth would be, it was concealed to the receptionist).

"Shh."

All the while, her gun was pointed at the receptionists center of mass. She wouldn't dare pull the trigger, but the receptionist didn't know that. The receptionist also didn't know that Maverick's safety was on. In the meantime, Maverick also made sure to smash the silent alarm. Wouldn't do much good now, though, anyway. She figured it didn't matter- the police were already on their way.

She hopped back over the desk.

"Alright, so, let's just keep the police out of the building until Vault Squad get's the money. Easy." Yeah. Easy. Her voice cracked as she said that last sentence.
