Duskshine: For now we'll call it nerve manipulation, but I'll look into a better name when I'm not on my phone. Other than that, I think your character is accepted. There'll be no PCs going to work at the prison, that's an npc group the players are replacing. You can be a corporate, or a hero in LA though. I think we're a little behind in both.

Eden stands about 5’4” with a slim build. She has pale, snowy skin and pure white hair that reaches all the way down her back, but that she usually wears up to keep out of her way. She has dark brown eyebrows to clash with her hair, and eyes the color of lapis with a faint hazel around the pupil. Her lips are just slightly too pouty for her face, and a very pale pink, with a dimple in her chin that she despises. She has a nose that is straight at the bridge instead of curving at all, and rounded at the tip. Her jaw is very defined, and despite not having very plump cheeks, her cheekbones aren't noticeable in the slightest. She has a small beauty mark at the corner of her lips on the right side as well. When not in costume, she tends to dress very ordinary, jeans and sweaters mostly, though she enjoys interesting high heels.
Eden costume is a completely black, form fitting cat suit. The neck line is v-neck but has a hood attached, and the suit ends at her wrists and ankles. She wears flat black boots that fit tight to her leg and come up to just under her knee, and wears a hand guard on her right hand (she shoots left handed, despite being right handed because she is left eye dominant). She also wears an arm guard on her left arm for this reason. Otherwise her hands are left to the open. The hood for the suit hides her very identifiable bright white locks for the most part, but exposes her face, so she also wears a thin black mask over her eyes. She has a black hip quiver and carries her bow in a brace on her back, only using it in certain cases.
Powers: Electricity/Lightning (ability to turn on and off electrical currents like the lights in a room without flipping a switch, ability to absorb electricity/inability to be electrocuted, and ability to generate and direct electric fields/energy into lightning bolts from her hands)

Powers: Friction Manipulation- by imparting her power into any thing she chooses Cypress can manipulate, generate and otherwise control friction, the force resisting the relative motion of solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements sliding against each other, ie. whether the contact causes the movement to stop (sticking the targets together) or continue.
By decreasing her skin and clothing's friction Cypress is so slippery that she is able to skid across a flat surface at great speeds her movements resembling more those of an Ice skater then a sprinter Her skin and clothing in this state can even deflect kinetic energy attacks such as bullets, swords, knives or even liquid attacks. If she is caught in a trap or stuck in a bind, Cypress can just slip away.

Inertia Manipulation- This ability allows Cypress to manipulate inertia, basically the amount of resistance matter has to a change in motion or rest, increasing, decreasing and/or maintaining it. She can increase object’s inertia, to make an immobile object immovable, or to make a mobile object unstoppable. They can also reduce an object’s inertia, so a normally powerful object, such as a train, could have its course of motion interrupted with the same effort as would be required to stop a bicycle.
Also by manipulating inertia Cypress is able to simulate super strength but only in a horizontal plane.
Example: She could once she plants her feet push a stranded Super tanker back out to sea but she can only lift 250 pounds vertically.

Description: Connor is a 5' 9'', lanky Irish lad. Short cut red hair and a red goatee and entirely too pale skin as trademarks of his ethnicity. He has dark blue eyes and an easy smile but a very sarcastic sense of humor. He smokes too much and get's in trouble more often than not but always tries to do the right thing.
Powers: The ability to manipulate gravity either by touch or within a thirty foot radius. He can increase, decrease, negate, reverse, or change the gravitational orientation of any object. By increasing gravity around him but keeping his own gravitational pull normal he can seem to move faster than his opponents and can hit much harder by adding gravitational fields around punches and kicks. He can create the illusion of super strength by negating an objects weight and then picking it up with his bare hands. He has started working on creating micro black holes but hasn't had much success with that yet. Connor has also managed to create the illusion of flight be reversing his own gravitational pull and then changing it to being perpendicular to the ground. The end result is him 'falling' sideways through the air. There's less control than true flight but it does help him get around at times.
Skills: Practice hand to hand combatant, particularly enjoys knife fighting. Worked briefly for the IRA so is familiar with explosives and firearms if not an expert. He can tell you which brand of cigarettes are the best and knows an Irish whiskey by scent from twenty paces.
Equipment: Several combat knives he keeps sheathed about his person as well as a pistol for emergency use. He hasn't fired it in years. He also owns and constantly rides a Honda Shadow motorcycle.

Silas stands slightly taller than most, with a mane of unruly black hair that goes down to his neck and piercing reddish-brown eyes which he usually keeps behind a pair of dark sunglasses. He has pale skin and a lean, not very muscular, build. Silas is usually seen wearing a nice shirt and tie with long pants, almost always in black or dark gray. The entire look is tied together nicely by Silas’s omnipresent unhappy frown.
Powers: Imprinting – With a touch, Silas can imprint himself onto any object. Once imprinted, he has complete control over that object. The power manifests slightly differently depending on the imprinted object, but the power is generally constant. He can move the object without touching it, summon it to himself and himself to it, swap places with it, sense the area near the object, know the object’s location, make the object immune to destruction, alter the object’s properties, multiply or divide any force acting on the object, or drastically increase the object’s normal effectiveness, just to list some of the things his power allows Silas to do. Silas can only ever be imprinted onto one object at a time, and he must remove his imprint before placing a new one. When Silas removes an imprint, the object suffers a kickback which becomes worse depending on how the imprinted object has been used. If the object hasn't been used or has been used for things it could normally be used for, then the kickback will be small and likely won’t cause much damage, but if Silas has used the object heavily and has used it for things it wouldn't normally be able to be used for, then the kickback will be incredibly strong and destructive, likely destroying the imprinted object completely.
Skills: Silas’s reaction speed and lightning-fast improvising are what he relies on from day to day or bad situation to worse situation, but he's no slouch when it comes to armed combat as well as unarmed. He is best with guns, handguns or rifles most of all, with knives and longer blades coming up in second. Silas's tendency of destroying any tool he uses for too long has made him good at picking up all sorts of weapons and quickly figuring out how to use them. The only marketable skills Silas has are being good with numbers and being unusually neat. The former led to him being an accountant for a time, and the latter landed him a short gig as a bartender. If you even want a drink made right, this is the guy you want making it.
Equipment: It changes regularly due to his power destroying anything he uses for long, but it’s usually safe to assume that he’ll have a gun or a blade of some sort on him.

Name: Jacqueline ‘Jack’ Vale

Description: Jack Vale stands at a not insignificant 5’9”, and is thin with it, although perhaps thin is the wrong word, and lithe would be more accurate. With an athletic build, she looks like she could have been a runner, or a gymnast. Her red hair is chopped short, with the ragged appearance that looks like she’s taken a pair of kitchen scissors to it herself. She’s attractive, and she knows it, with high, defined cheekbones, and large, innocent eyes.
She favors loose, practical clothing, often jeans or combats and relatively plain t-shirts or tops. She shies away from big brand clothing that has large logos emblazoned across them. The whole outfit tends to be rounded off with a pair of assault boots and a cap or hat of some sort, with the obligatory aviators to add further conceal her face. Her whole outfit could have been easily acquired at any of half a dozen military surplus and thrift stores in any city you care to mention.
Come show time and her outfit barely changes, it’s more additions than anything else. A heavy black, long sleeved hoodie, and a military grade assault vest, complete with the usual assortment of pouches and attachments as well as a military grade radio. Concealing her face is next, and that objective is accomplished with the use of a heavy duty Kevlar mask.
Powers: Invulnerability – While it’s unknown to what extent she is impervious to damage, it is proven that most conventional weaponry is about as effective as a mosquito bite against an elephant. This has its own drawbacks however; surgery is virtually impossible thanks to her skin’s tendency to bend any blade applied to it.
Enhanced Strength – Though hardly able to lift buildings, Jack is more than capable of ripping the doors from cars and lifting grown men off the ground with one hand without breaking a sweat. This enhanced strength allows her to run marginally faster than the average human, for longer, and even to leap greater heights.
Skills: Explosives expertise, basic marksmanship and weapons knowledge. Strategist.

Brief History : Jack spent four years serving in bomb disposal in the United States Military, she served well, technically she’s still on the books in fact, but on leave now, at the beginning of a six month extended leave after her unit took heavy casualties while on deployment.

That is, essentially, what he looks like. He stands at 6'1" and weighs in fairly heavy due to muscle and bone density, rather than fat. He tends to wear fairly casual clothing, t-shirts, hoodies, jeans and hiking boots, usually. Though "On the job" he has taken to wearing a dark black duster, simply for appearance's sake. Otherwise, he doesn't bother to conceal his identity in any manner with costumes, finding the idea silly. Besides, spandex seems.... Uncomfortable, to him.
Powers:
"Mist" has what initially seems to be a pretty low-ranking, common set of abilities. Mainly; Hyper senses. Smell, hearing, sight, touch, taste- All of them advanced far beyond normal levels. He could, for instance, identify people from several meters away by smell alone, or hear a pin drop in a crowded area, were he to focus on it. Linking to his advanced senses are somewhat more minor boosts in his natural agility and strength. Nothing obscene, but he's certainly faster than one might expect, and stronger.
While it hasn't been confirmed, some suspect he also doesn't age, simply due to the fact that he still moves like a man at his peak, despite being nearly fifty.
But, his most notable ability is what gives him his Alias as a merc- Mist. Quite simply, he is capable of "Vanishing" and reappearing some distance off, always leaving a black-and-purple, mist-like substance in his wake. More or less- Teleporting. This only works for distances up to about a city block at a time, though he can do it in rapid succession when shorter distances are crossed. Like a few meters across a room. Repeatedly. He must be able to -see- where he is jumping to go there. If he tries to warp somewhere he can't see, he'll just end up slamming face-first into a wall.
Skills:
While Mist's powers alone are quite useful for combat-related situations, particularly in his own style, he does need skills in the norm to be as effective as he is.
Most prominently, a lifetime of practice has led him to be exceptionally skilled in parkour and his own CQC style, a mish-mash of various martial arts and improvised ass-kicking, often utilizing the weaknesses of human anatomy in the process. Add a natural skill with handgun marksmanship and you have everybody's dream assassin. Though for some reason he's never gotten a handle on rifles...
He's also a damn good cook, and his reflexes in and out of combat situations make him an -excellent- stunt driver. Never try to follow him onto a freeway. Never.
Equipment:
He doesn't wear much in the way of equipment, really. Other than his weapons, he quite literally walks around doing his business in every-day clothing.
His weapons are fairly light and simple, all worn at a belt at his waist. A holster in the small of his back for a pistol, with several spaces for spare clips beside it. He varies the pistol and ammo he carries depending on the task at hand. He also carries a pair of Bowie knives on each thigh, the sheaths hanging from his belt. The knives are kept at a razor edge, sharp enough to pierce Kevlar, and strong enough to not shatter when impacting bone. There is also a pouch at his belt, holding a small variety of fluids- All of them highly poisonous. Some for coating knives, or dipping bullets. Some for slipping into an unwary person's drink....
The only vehicle he is known to drive -often- would be his motorcycle. While he actually prefers the large, cross-country type bikes, he owns and drives a crotch-rocket for mobility and speed, making for quick escapes on crowded freeways, weaving through traffic. Or jumping bridges. He enjoys that.

History:
Originally, Jackson was a normal guy. Like anybody, he put down his acute senses to luck of the genetic draw and lives his life with no problems whatsoever. But, upon the whole "Superpower" reveal sweeping over the planet, he put a bit more... Thought, into the matter. With a good deal of experimentation and a life-threatening incident, he unlocked his ability to warp from place to place, honing it over the years. Initially, he registered and lived life on, Ranked as a C-level super due to the non-destructive nature of his ability.
However, at some point in time he just... Fell off the grid. This happened shortly after he made a life choice, and changed his career path to something far more profitable than a martial arts teacher- A mercenary. Or an assassin. It truly depended on who payed him. He found his morals slipping, taking nearly any job if it payed well enough, though some things never changed- If it involved children, he refused the job. Terrorism? He refused. Most often he found himself working as a personal guard.... Or a political assassin. He never liked politicians in the first place, really. After he was blamed for a number of deaths, his rank was raised to A due to the new, dangerous ways he used his power.

At a not too shabby 6 feet even, Jason doesn't have a real costume. He's not really the creative type and couldn't think of anything relating to his powers. He simply wears a hoodie and a mask if he doesn't want anyone to know who he is. He is a big fan of Halloween and as such he has a wide variety of masks to choose from.
Powers: Nerve-Manipulation, Jason can effect the nervous systems of others, it works best with eye contact but it is not required. He can do many different things but the following are the most powerful forms
Blindness: Temporarily knocks out the optic nerves.
Deafness: Caused by manipulating the eardrums and will make the target temporarily unable to hear
Mute: Impairs the victims vocal cords, making speech impossible
Pain: By manipulating the nerve centers the psychic can induce terrible pain
Paralysis: Immobilizes the motor part of the brain, causing legs and arms to stop functioning (Also note that target can't speak as their vocal cords are paralyzed as well)
Stun: This simply disorients and confuses the target for a moment
He can also effect his own nervous system, being able to make himself more resistant to heat/fire, cold, and can even deaden pain. The first two can still burn/freeze him, it just takes more time. When he deadens pain any injuries are still inflicted, he just doesn't feel it until the power ends.
Jason also has telepathy, though he can not just listen on anyone's thoughts. He can project his thoughts to anyone he can see, or knows well within a few miles, but can only hear the thoughts of those trying to communicate with him.
Empathic Transmission, Jason is able to affect the emotions of those around him. This works better when he is also feeling said emotion, but like eye contact, it is not required.
Obviously all these powers are weaker the more people he is trying to affect.
Skills: Jason's powers also have the side effect of increasing his brain power, so he is fairly good at puzzles and other things requiring mental fortitude. He also has a good understanding of electrical wiring because he went to school for a year to become an electrician.

Powers: Powers: Dampening He had the ability to make others powers weaker. He can basically drop a person's ability ranking two or one level down, two only allowing ten minutes of dampening and one allowing him a minute or two, for now.
Teleportation self explanatory. He can teleport any distance, but it takes away from his energy based on how far he teleports.
Knife Absorption: He has a unique ability to use his knife where when he cuts someone, any blood that comes from the cut he made is absorbed by the knife and can be used later to heal himself. Downsides are that the cut will almost instantly heal if he uses this ability on someone and that the healing process takes time. A small cut is five seconds to heal, a broken bone would be a minute, a missing limb would be an hour, etc.
Heightened Senses: Being blind, this power is half ability and half natural skill. With this, all 5 (except for sight) of his senses are enhanced.
Smell Enhances: his smell so that he can smell and identify odors much better than a human, almost as much as a dog.
Hearing Enhances: his hearing so that he can hear and identify sounds much better than a human, almost as much as a dog.
Touch Enhances: his sense of touch so that he can feel vibrations in objects much better, like being able to feel people walking, identify what he touches, etc.
Taste Enhances: his sense of taste. Mostly useful for reading tasty foods.
Skills: Enhanced Senses As stated in powers, half of this is ability enhancement and half of it is due to blindness. Read powers for full description.
Knives/Handguns Over the years of practice, he had gained knowledge and skill in handguns and knives. He's accurate with a handgun and knows where to cut with his knife to ensure death, and us good at it.
Agile He's very agile, being able to run and jump long distances with little tiredness. He flexible and can move quite a bit, sometimes confusing for an enemy if he uses his agility and flexibility.

Description: She’s short, standing at only 5’2” and curvy, her body just the right proportion of body fat and muscle for her to be considered ‘hot’. That said, her face, while pretty, is enough to make her cute rather than beautiful. Her blue eyes are usually full of an impish humour, and her hair, blonde, is left long and straight. Her choice of clothes as a civilian is fairly average for her age.
Her costume is simple, a cat suit that covers most of her body, but leaves her forearms bare, there is a short skirt at her waist, at the top of which is a utility belt. It is copper in colour, but otherwise mostly undecorated, albeit with a stylised torch emblazoned across the chest in silver. Her face is completely covered by a mask of the same colour of a costume, with a mesh area around her mouth and nose, and the top left open to leave her hair free.
Powers: Hana Jameson possesses a parcel of abilities that all combine to make her far more of a threat than her diminutive size would otherwise suggest. The first one is perhaps the least well known, due to its relatively low impact effect. Hana is always at peak human condition, no matter what she eats, how she exercises, she is always at the very peak of human fitness, agility and strength.
The second ability is her most noted, and that is due to its occasionally impressive physical effects. Hana is an inventor, a developer of fantastic technology, apparently in defiance of modern restrictions. This allows her to create compact forms of common technologies, as well as creating some other, far more advanced technologies such as blasters and advanced gyroscopes. Simple compaction of technology, such as communicators, is relatively simple, and she can create and maintain a number of such things without too much exertion. However, the more advanced the technology, or the larger it is, the harder it is for her to maintain or create more equipment. This means she can help by equipping teammates, but doing so reduces her abilities to intervene directly with more powerful pieces of technology.

Brief History: Lady Liberty has a successful career behind her as a cape, one that only seems to be rising, if the records are accurate, then she has in fact been pursuing this career for a little over ten years, and her skills have only improved in that time. She has achieved a number of impressive collars in that time, including an SS ranked parahuman, though it put her in the hospital for six months. She is also one of the most experienced capes in Los Angeles, despite her young age compared to some, and is offered respect by even more powerful heroes in other cities.

Powers: Capable of tapping into his primal instincts, he is also capable of enhancing his physical characteristics. He is gifted with canine like prowess, enhanced smell, sight, and hearing, he also has larger canines and longer stronger claw like finger nails.
Skills: He is an above average fighter and marksmen.

Description:
Stands at about 5'7, with a toned and slim - yet curvy - body. Piercing blue eyes, set in a pretty, heart-shaped face. Black curls reaching about her shoulder-blades. Pale skin, some small scars dotted here and there from past skirmishes.
When in costume, her face and hair are obscured by a face-mask and hood, like this:
And her armour is black, covering most of her body, along with fingerless gloves and a cape - yes, she likes the cape. When not being a superhero, she'll wear normal clothes.
Powers: Energy Manipulation and Manifestation - she is able to manifest a type of pure energy that she can manipulate in different ways - she can channel it into a shield, use it as a weapon, or even make it solid to lift things, etc. The only limitation she has in this power is that overuse can lead to harm to herself. Otherwise, she's capable of a lot of damage.
She also uses this ability to help her fly.
Skills: A master of sword-fighting, either single-handed or duel wielding. Is an effective hand-to-hand fighter, and can survive in pretty much any dangerous environment.
Equipment: Two short-swords with serrated appendages on each side - she channel's her energy through these titanium weapons to make them super-light, and far more powerful.
Ranking: I'd say maybe a B-Rank, I guess? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Brief History: Roze lived a simple life in Italy up until her teenage years, when her powers began to show. Although managing to hide them from the government, other, more nefarious people, got wind of it. Tracking her down to use her for her powers, they slaughtered her family as they helped her escape. Now living in America, she has agreed to join the Heroes (Someone else can decide how they all met.), but the thought of those men still after her makes her mind drift to certain un-heroic things, such as vengeance, and murder...

Probability Manipulation - Liz has the ability to effect the probability of events occurring around her. She can effect the probability of nearly anything in either a positive or negative light. The one thing she can't the probability of is a persons free will. She can't make someone vehemently against Guns suddenly have an urge to go to a shooting range, but she can effect the probability of effect happening around them that may bring to light thoughts that could disway them slowly. But nothing outright effecting free will.
When dealing with the probability of events the only stipulation is she has to be around to watch the event occur. She can't be in California and cause a car accident in Utah. She physically has to watch the events unfold. She has the capacity to use live video to manipulate the probability of things but her disconnect from the area often leads to strange things happening. So she often stays away from using that means of her gift.
Most of her gift is subconscious, working thoughtlessly to lead a certain events to occur from a vague conscious thought. Though this does not mean she cannot consciously and actively manipulate the events that occur around her. She is just usually to lazy.
Skills:
Being able to control the probability of events around her she hasn't really developed any substantial skills. She is barely above average scholastically. Pushing: Adrian can push metal objects away from his center of gravity in a straight line, proportionally to his weight. This means that if he tries to push something that is heavier that him then Adrian is pushed back instead. Adrian uses this to fly, sort of. He drops a coin pushes it (or any metal really, a car, a nail, whatever) to the ground and then he shoots upwards, Offensively Adrian tends to use coins, launching them at bullet like speeds or to accelerate a bullet increasing its penetrating power. Defensively Adrian can make a 2 meter Push bubble around himself to steer any metal projectiles off course. Adrian has a "standby" mode for his Pushing allowing him to see blue threads connecting him to each piece of metal. Adrian can use this for espionage purposes by seeing if there is any metal moving about.
Weight Storage: Adrian can store weight to be used later, meaning he goes about his life at a fraction of his weight the weight he isn't using is stored. Adrian can then call on that stored weight, making him heavier than normal. This weight rebound can be used one of two ways, making him marginally heavier for a while, good for making punches hit harder, or insanely heavy for an instant which is useful when he wants to push something especially heavy. Note: It would take a year at one quarter weight to be able to knock down a building. Note: Even if Adrian weighed as much as a mountain his skin is still squishy, meaning he can be shot and stabbed, but not crushed or punched.
Silver Tongue: Adrian's tongue is literally silver. It makes him slightly more persuasive. Not much else to say.
Skills: Adrian used to be a long distance runner and as such has a good amount of endurance, Adrian can shoot a guy but not with a superhuman level of accuracy, investigating, voice mimicry. He's also good at golf and billiards.

Enhanced speed and reflexes. Not exactly super speed, but faster than any human can ever move. Her reflexes work roughly 3 times better than the average person.
Enhanced endurance. Not stone skin, but it does make her able to land from a 2-3 store building or limp away from a car crash. She can even suffer a swing from a bat a few times.
Building up physical energy. Basically she’s able to charge up and release blows many, many times her usual strength. The power peeks at punching through vaults, and each blow requires a new charge up. She needs to be able to move, run, jump and spin in order to build up the force she can then unleash for devastating effect.
Skills:
Extreme gymnastics that only get enhanced through her powers, making her able to do spinning stunt no person would ever dream of.
Then there’s her multiple martial arts, which didn't take that long to master once she got her powers. Combined with her hard earned skills in gymnastics this makes her a force to be reckoned with. Quadruple spin-kick… no problem!

Brief History:
Kate grew up on the street being a petty thief. But as she got older she started hanging out with the wrong crowd. Suddenly she was breaking into places one really should stay away from, but it taught her what she needed to know about infiltration.
Then her powers came…
Everything changed. Suddenly she didn't need friends, didn't need allies. She started working on her body and soon she acquired her first 10.000 from selling a stolen antiquity. She got better, did bigger stuff. Failed, but then learned from her mistakes. Succeeded and aimed higher. Failed, but then studied harder. Succeeded and aimed higher. Failed, but then got better equipment, and so on.
5 years later Kate is known as X, and you have only heard of that name, if you are someone. She is proof to the glorified lifestyle powers can give you. She lives in a penthouse, but still has to occasionally do jobs like stealing something, sabotaging something or other kinds of jobs required for a master burglar, to pay for her expensive lifestyle.
It’s no longer just her physical attributes that makes her good. There’s a lair of equipment, gadgets and portable, short-range hacking devices. Occasionally charm is required too, and Kate can most definitely mingle amongst the upper class.
The few times she has met with clients she has posed as a middleman, but getting into contact with her is no easy thing.
But something has changed slightly. A desire beyond living the dream has come. The desire to go after the government. It started after she did a small job for a guy named Mark Fletch. An actual employee working for the federal government, Mark is also an unregistered with an E Ranking. Once the job, removing a few files about him, was done, they didn't part ways. No, this success has made them both think that maybe it's possible to bring down the system or at least cripple parts of it. Mark has some inside knowledge and Kate has skills, so maybe it will work. But the second things get hot their gonna part ways.
Such an act might not be easy though. After a month Kate has grown closer to him. Closer than she had sworn anyone would get to her.
Now the agenda is breaking into facilities, sabotage, and downloading random secrets. It is not just her adrenalin addiction that fuels it anymore. It’s a protest against registrations and a stab at The Man. But it is also because she believes they might have theories and answers about the reasons behind people’s powers. Untold secrets. Public lies.
This new challenge does not distract from her taste at life; her glorified lifestyle or her need to challenge herself. However it has now put her on the radar of some very, very powerful people and… people with powers, who will go to great lengths to find and stop her…

Evelyn stands at around 5,8 feet tall, her body is covered in a naturally tanned skin that seems to have been colored by the rays of the sun to a color of honey brown. In contrast to her dark skin is her hair: she keeps her incredibly blond hair (that almost borders to white) in a neck-short fashion in order to keep it out of her way whenever she is physically active. Her tanned body shows clear signs of being used physically quite often: her muscles are clearly visible, yet she isn’t overly muscular (she tends to focus more on agility and speed that outright strength), still keeping her feminine touch: petite nose, full lips and just the right curvature that has garnered her much attention with other individuals). In great contrast to her colored skin is her fairly large eyes: they hold a misty blue hue to them.
Usually she keeps her body covered in a basic fashion: a pair of red and black running shoes, a pair of black baggy pants with pockets for the most essential items. On her upper body she usually wears a long and somewhat loose white T-shirt that has artistically drawn colors on different parts of it. On top of this she tends to wear an armless grey hoodie. She also wears a pair of fingerless black leather gloves to protect her hands when she fights or does acrobatics.
Powers: Evelyn holds the power categorized as “Dimensional Manipulation”. This holds a variety of possibilities for the user, however the most basic one is the ability to create dimensions. For Evelyn this means that she is able to create “portals”, or “windows”, into other dimensions (or one she has created). This allows her to absorb or exude physical objects through one of her ‘windows’. This a rather flexible ability that allows her to implement it into a variety of different uses:
Dimensional absorption: She can create a “window”, enabling her to absorb any physical threats to her. She can also absorb parts of herself. This also enables her to exude these attacks through another portal.
Dimensional teleportation: As she is in of herself a physical object she can absorb or exude herself (or parts of herself) into another dimension. While this would technically only allow her to disappear and reappear in the same spot instantaneously (or in another place after a time that is equal to how long it would take her to move to that location in another dimension), however as she also possesses the ability to “create” her own dimension she holds the power equal to that of “god” in that specific dimension (it should be noted that this is only in the dimensions she herself has created, not anywhere outside of it), giving her the ability to manipulate the space-time continuum within that dimension, thus enabling her to move much faster, essentially making her movements appearing instantaneously in the real world - thus giving her the ability akin to that of teleportation.
Dimensional storage: As Evelyn possesses the ability to create her own dimensions she can also ‘store’ items within a dimension. This basically means that she can hold various objects within her own dimension, instantly absorbing it or exuding it. An example would be her weapons: she doesn’t usually wear more than a few items on her body, but if, say, a rifle is necessary she can exude one from her dimensional storage. Of course this can only be done with items that she has stored in the first hand.
While this ability makes her quite versatile it is important to note that the energy required to absorb and exude any objects are directly equal to the size and matter of said object. This she can easily absorb and exude bullets or firearms, but she cannot simply absorb and explosion or, say, a meteorite.
It has been theorized that Evelyn’s power is an underdeveloped category of Spatio-Chronokinesis, however this has yet to be proven beyond the limits of the theory.
This would have been the limit of her inborn powers, however Evelyn could be what one would describe as an ‘evolved gifted’ - however the circumstances regarding this isn't something that Evelyn can remember - rather she can somehow feel that part of her abilities aren't 'normal' to her.
Regeneration: This ability constantly heals Evelyn to a degree that regular bullets have little to no effect on her in the long run. Sure they do cause damage, however her body quickly regenerates and ejects the material that has damaged any tissue. This ability does not, however, make her immortal: if she is hurt enough she will succumb to death as her energy cannot sustain the regenerative properties of her ability. Because of this it would seem that Evelyn, for reasons unknown to the scientists, developed a counter-measure for this:
Life-force absorption: Evelyn has developed the ability to absorb the life-force of that which is around her, what this makes her able to do is to regenerate body parts much faster than normal beings - and if she has absorbed enough matter she could in theory even regenerate entire limbs - however the amount of energy this would require would be equal to that of a medium sized explosion, or the entire life-force of a human being (basically causing that being to die), however this is only a theory and has yet to be proven.
It should also be noted that through this ability Evelyn has perhaps gained her only offensive ability: As she absorbs energy from, say, a human, said human feels as if they become more and more exhausted - and if she absorbs enough the target will collapse.
However, this ability isn’t fully developed - which is the reason why the lead scientist termed it as a “failure”. The reason why it was deemed as unsuccessful was because of a number of limitations:
Firstly: Evelyn has to be in physical contact with whatever she wants to absorb, this means that if she cannot get in contact with anything, she cannot utilize this power - thus limiting the usability of this ability considerably.
Secondly: The ability to heal is constantly active. This means that since it is constantly active it makes it necessary for Evelyn to re-supply herself with energy quite often - and the more she gets injured, the faster she has to replenish her supply. If she cannot do this the outcome is quite simply death. It also means that as she is getting closer to running out of energy she is weakened.
Skills: Through her time with the Corporation she was strictly trained in different arts of martial art and weaponry, making her an outstanding opponent to fight against as she can seamlessly blend the use of weapons and martial arts together with her abilities as a gifted. She is an excellent tactician, easily able to understand a situation from different perspectives and act accordingly. Furthermore her quick thinking makes her an excellent schemer, often using this to pull pranks on those around her - however she is by no means a genius, give her any form of electronic assignment and she is as lost as a bunny in hell.
She has also proven to be quite athletic and a skilled user of parkour.
Equipment: Evelyn usually carries a set of dual pistols by her hip and a pair of katanas on her back. Now because she is able to store objects within other dimensions she holds a lot more firepower that what she appears to have. At times she even hides all of her weapons in order to fool her opponents (however she cannot store bigger objects (such as cars) because of the large amount of energy it would require. She also keeps a set of medical supplies hidden as well as the basic survival tools. She has also managed to get her hands on an iPhone 7 (with earbuds) - yea, she has indeed gotten her hands on it before it has even been released, but do not ask her how, you wouldn’t like the answer and she would have to kill you afterwards. She also always keeps a pair of headphones on her body at all times: she loves to listen to music - and is currently into the indie scene.

Brief History: The case of the woman known as Evelyn Kross is an interesting one. She seems to have no recollection of her former life, no memories of her childhood, her friends or lovers or her former experiences. What she does remember is a memory filled with a feeling full of disgust and terror, a memory of the only person she remembers before she woke up in a dark and damp alley in the middle of Los Angeles, it is a memory of her father. She does, however, not remember much about the reason why she feels such a disgust towards the person she remembers as her father, but she does remember excruciating pain and lab coats.
The first thing she remembered after waking up in the cold alley way was a feeling of fear and misplacement, like she wasn’t quite like she was supposed to be: like she had been altered and changed, however it didn’t take her long to gather the few items that had been scattered around her: mobile phone, wallet with id, two military grade pistols and two swords - all of which would later tell her things about herself that she didn’t know - before she ran.
She ended up in the darker places of Los Angeles, the places criminals, mercenaries and other scum of society lives. Here she found herself welcome: a woman with no past and a mysterious aura seemed to fit right into the darker parts of society and it didn’t take her long to transit into a comfortable job as a mercenary - a change that proved to become quite the success and before she knew it her skillset had garnered quite the reputation as the mercenary “Eve”.
However this was not to last. As she became more well known within the criminal underground, so did she in the justice departments. Especially within the group known as the “Hots” as she was an ability user like them. It didn’t take them long track her down, however she wasn’t prosecuted. Instead they, for reasons and logic unknown to Evelyn, offered her a way out of the criminal underground: Become part of the group known as the “Hots” and try and bring balance and peace to Los Angeles.
Evelyn who hadn’t experienced the warmth of being needed for as long as she could remember gladly accepted this opportunity and has been a part of the Hots for roughly 6 months.
It should be noted that while she is part of the Hots she is more often than not getting in trouble with her higher ups because she doesn’t conform to the rules that exists for them (she tends to ignore orders and even going so far as to brutally murder a target if she finds it necessary - or because they annoy her).

Eden stands about 5’4” with a slim build. She has pale, snowy skin and pure white hair that reaches all the way down her back, but that she usually wears up to keep out of her way. She has dark brown eyebrows to clash with her hair, and eyes the color of lapis with a faint hazel around the pupil. Her lips are just slightly too pouty for her face, and a very pale pink, with a dimple in her chin that she despises. She has a nose that is straight at the bridge instead of curving at all, and rounded at the tip. Her jaw is very defined, and despite not having very plump cheeks, her cheekbones aren't noticeable in the slightest. She has a small beauty mark at the corner of her lips on the right side as well. When not in costume, she tends to dress very ordinary, jeans and sweaters mostly, though she enjoys interesting high heels.
Eden costume is a completely black, form fitting cat suit. The neck line is v-neck but has a hood attached, and the suit ends at her wrists and ankles. She wears flat black boots that fit tight to her leg and come up to just under her knee, and wears a hand guard on her right hand (she shoots left handed, despite being right handed because she is left eye dominant). She also wears an arm guard on her left arm for this reason. Otherwise her hands are left to the open. The hood for the suit hides her very identifiable bright white locks for the most part, but exposes her face, so she also wears a thin black mask over her eyes. She has a black hip quiver and carries her bow in a brace on her back, only using it in certain cases.
Powers: Electricity/Lightning (ability to turn on and off electrical currents like the lights in a room without flipping a switch, ability to absorb electricity/inability to be electrocuted, and ability to generate and direct electric fields/energy into lightning bolts from her hands)

Powers: Friction Manipulation- by imparting her power into any thing she chooses Cypress can manipulate, generate and otherwise control friction, the force resisting the relative motion of solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements sliding against each other, ie. whether the contact causes the movement to stop (sticking the targets together) or continue.
By decreasing her skin and clothing's friction Cypress is so slippery that she is able to skid across a flat surface at great speeds her movements resembling more those of an Ice skater then a sprinter Her skin and clothing in this state can even deflect kinetic energy attacks such as bullets, swords, knives or even liquid attacks. If she is caught in a trap or stuck in a bind, Cypress can just slip away.

Inertia Manipulation- This ability allows Cypress to manipulate inertia, basically the amount of resistance matter has to a change in motion or rest, increasing, decreasing and/or maintaining it. She can increase object’s inertia, to make an immobile object immovable, or to make a mobile object unstoppable. They can also reduce an object’s inertia, so a normally powerful object, such as a train, could have its course of motion interrupted with the same effort as would be required to stop a bicycle.
Also by manipulating inertia Cypress is able to simulate super strength but only in a horizontal plane.
Example: She could once she plants her feet push a stranded Super tanker back out to sea but she can only lift 250 pounds vertically.

Description: Connor is a 5' 9'', lanky Irish lad. Short cut red hair and a red goatee and entirely too pale skin as trademarks of his ethnicity. He has dark blue eyes and an easy smile but a very sarcastic sense of humor. He smokes too much and get's in trouble more often than not but always tries to do the right thing.
Powers: The ability to manipulate gravity either by touch or within a thirty foot radius. He can increase, decrease, negate, reverse, or change the gravitational orientation of any object. By increasing gravity around him but keeping his own gravitational pull normal he can seem to move faster than his opponents and can hit much harder by adding gravitational fields around punches and kicks. He can create the illusion of super strength by negating an objects weight and then picking it up with his bare hands. He has started working on creating micro black holes but hasn't had much success with that yet. Connor has also managed to create the illusion of flight be reversing his own gravitational pull and then changing it to being perpendicular to the ground. The end result is him 'falling' sideways through the air. There's less control than true flight but it does help him get around at times.
Skills: Practice hand to hand combatant, particularly enjoys knife fighting. Worked briefly for the IRA so is familiar with explosives and firearms if not an expert. He can tell you which brand of cigarettes are the best and knows an Irish whiskey by scent from twenty paces.
Equipment: Several combat knives he keeps sheathed about his person as well as a pistol for emergency use. He hasn't fired it in years. He also owns and constantly rides a Honda Shadow motorcycle.

Description:
Silas stands slightly taller than most, with a mane of unruly black hair that goes down to his neck and piercing reddish-brown eyes which he usually keeps behind a pair of dark sunglasses. He has pale skin and a lean, not very muscular, build. Silas is usually seen wearing a nice shirt and tie with long pants, almost always in black or dark gray. The entire look is tied together nicely by Silas’s omnipresent unhappy frown.
Powers: Imprinting – With a touch, Silas can imprint himself onto any object. Once imprinted, he has complete control over that object. The power manifests slightly differently depending on the imprinted object, but the power is generally constant. He can move the object without touching it, summon it to himself and himself to it, swap places with it, sense the area near the object, know the object’s location, make the object immune to destruction, alter the object’s properties, multiply or divide any force acting on the object, or drastically increase the object’s normal effectiveness, just to list some of the things his power allows Silas to do. Silas can only ever be imprinted onto one object at a time, and he must remove his imprint before placing a new one. When Silas removes an imprint, the object suffers a kickback which becomes worse depending on how the imprinted object has been used. If the object hasn't been used or has been used for things it could normally be used for, then the kickback will be small and likely won’t cause much damage, but if Silas has used the object heavily and has used it for things it wouldn't normally be able to be used for, then the kickback will be incredibly strong and destructive, likely destroying the imprinted object completely.
Skills: Silas’s reaction speed and lightning-fast improvising are what he relies on from day to day or bad situation to worse situation, but he's no slouch when it comes to armed combat as well as unarmed. He is best with guns, handguns or rifles most of all, with knives and longer blades coming up in second. Silas's tendency of destroying any tool he uses for too long has made him good at picking up all sorts of weapons and quickly figuring out how to use them. The only marketable skills Silas has are being good with numbers and being unusually neat. The former led to him being an accountant for a time, and the latter landed him a short gig as a bartender. If you even want a drink made right, this is the guy you want making it.
Equipment: It changes regularly due to his power destroying anything he uses for long, but it’s usually safe to assume that he’ll have a gun or a blade of some sort on him.

Description: Jack Vale stands at a not insignificant 5’9”, and is thin with it, although perhaps thin is the wrong word, and lithe would be more accurate. With an athletic build, she looks like she could have been a runner, or a gymnast. Her red hair is chopped short, with the ragged appearance that looks like she’s taken a pair of kitchen scissors to it herself. She’s attractive, and she knows it, with high, defined cheekbones, and large, innocent eyes.
She favors loose, practical clothing, often jeans or combats and relatively plain t-shirts or tops. She shies away from big brand clothing that has large logos emblazoned across them. The whole outfit tends to be rounded off with a pair of assault boots and a cap or hat of some sort, with the obligatory aviators to add further conceal her face. Her whole outfit could have been easily acquired at any of half a dozen military surplus and thrift stores in any city you care to mention.
Come show time and her outfit barely changes, it’s more additions than anything else. A heavy black, long sleeved hoodie, and a military grade assault vest, complete with the usual assortment of pouches and attachments as well as a military grade radio. Concealing her face is next, and that objective is accomplished with the use of a heavy duty Kevlar mask.
Powers: Invulnerability – While it’s unknown to what extent she is impervious to damage, it is proven that most conventional weaponry is about as effective as a mosquito bite against an elephant. This has its own drawbacks however; surgery is virtually impossible thanks to her skin’s tendency to bend any blade applied to it.
Enhanced Strength – Though hardly able to lift buildings, Jack is more than capable of ripping the doors from cars and lifting grown men off the ground with one hand without breaking a sweat. This enhanced strength allows her to run marginally faster than the average human, for longer, and even to leap greater heights.

That is, essentially, what he looks like. He stands at 6'1" and weighs in fairly heavy due to muscle and bone density, rather than fat. Otherwise, he doesn't bother to conceal his identity in any manner with costumes, finding the idea silly. Besides, spandex seems.... Uncomfortable, to him.

"Mist" has what initially seems to be a pretty low-ranking, common set of abilities. Mainly; Hyper senses. Smell, hearing, sight, touch, taste- All of them advanced far beyond normal levels. He could, for instance, identify people from several meters away by smell alone, or hear a pin drop in a crowded area, were he to focus on it. Linking to his advanced senses are somewhat more minor boosts in his natural agility and strength. Nothing obscene, but he's certainly faster than one might expect, and stronger.
While it hasn't been confirmed, some suspect he also doesn't age, simply due to the fact that he still moves like a man at his peak, despite being nearly fifty.
But, his most notable ability is what gives him his Alias as a merc- Mist. Quite simply, he is capable of "Vanishing" and reappearing some distance off, always leaving a black-and-purple, mist-like substance in his wake. More or less- Teleporting. This only works for distances up to about a city block at a time, though he can do it in rapid succession when shorter distances are crossed. Like a few meters across a room. Repeatedly. He must be able to -see- where he is jumping to go there. If he tries to warp somewhere he can't see, he'll just end up slamming face-first into a wall.
Skills:
While Mist's powers alone are quite useful for combat-related situations, particularly in his own style, he does need skills in the norm to be as effective as he is.
Most prominently, a lifetime of practice has led him to be exceptionally skilled in parkour and his own CQC style, a mish-mash of various martial arts and improvised ass-kicking, often utilizing the weaknesses of human anatomy in the process. Add a natural skill with handgun marksmanship and you have everybody's dream assassin. Though for some reason he's never gotten a handle on rifles...
He's also a damn good cook, and his reflexes in and out of combat situations make him an -excellent- stunt driver. Never try to follow him onto a freeway. Never.
Equipment:
He doesn't wear much in the way of equipment, really. Other than his weapons, he quite literally walks around doing his business in every-day clothing.
His weapons are fairly light and simple, all worn at a belt at his waist. A holster in the small of his back for a pistol, with several spaces for spare clips beside it. He varies the pistol and ammo he carries depending on the task at hand. He also carries a pair of Bowie knives on each thigh, the sheaths hanging from his belt. The knives are kept at a razor edge, sharp enough to pierce Kevlar, and strong enough to not shatter when impacting bone. There is also a pouch at his belt, holding a small variety of fluids- All of them highly poisonous. Some for coating knives, or dipping bullets. Some for slipping into an unwary person's drink....
The only vehicle he is known to drive -often- would be his motorcycle. While he actually prefers the large, cross-country type bikes, he owns and drives a crotch-rocket for mobility and speed, making for quick escapes on crowded freeways, weaving through traffic. Or jumping bridges. He enjoys that.

History:
Originally, Jackson was a normal guy. Like anybody, he put down his acute senses to luck of the genetic draw and lives his life with no problems whatsoever. But, upon the whole "Superpower" reveal sweeping over the planet, he put a bit more... Thought, into the matter. With a good deal of experimentation and a life-threatening incident, he unlocked his ability to warp from place to place, honing it over the years. Initially, he registered and lived life on, Ranked as a C-level super due to the non-destructive nature of his ability.
However, at some point in time he just... Fell off the grid. This happened shortly after he made a life choice, and changed his career path to something far more profitable than a martial arts teacher- A mercenary. Or an assassin. It truly depended on who payed him. He found his morals slipping, taking nearly any job if it payed well enough, though some things never changed- If it involved children, he refused the job. Terrorism? He refused. Most often he found himself working as a personal guard.... Or a political assassin. He never liked politicians in the first place, really. After he was blamed for a number of deaths, his rank was raised to A due to the new, dangerous ways he used his power.

At a not too shabby 6 feet even, Jason doesn't have a real costume. He's not really the creative type and couldn't think of anything relating to his powers. He simply wears a hoodie and a mask if he doesn't want anyone to know who he is. He is a big fan of Halloween and as such he has a wide variety of masks to choose from.
Powers: Nerve-Manipulation, Jason can effect the nervous systems of others, it works best with eye contact but it is not required. He can do many different things but the following are the most powerful forms
Blindness: Temporarily knocks out the optic nerves.
Deafness: Caused by manipulating the eardrums and will make the target temporarily unable to hear
Mute: Impairs the victims vocal cords, making speech impossible
Pain: By manipulating the nerve centers the psychic can induce terrible pain
Paralysis: Immobilizes the motor part of the brain, causing legs and arms to stop functioning (Also note that target can't speak as their vocal cords are paralyzed as well)
Stun: This simply disorients and confuses the target for a moment
He can also effect his own nervous system, being able to make himself more resistant to heat/fire, cold, and can even deaden pain. The first two can still burn/freeze him, it just takes more time. When he deadens pain any injuries are still inflicted, he just doesn't feel it until the power ends.
Jason also has telepathy, though he can not just listen on anyone's thoughts. He can project his thoughts to anyone he can see, or knows well within a few miles, but can only hear the thoughts of those trying to communicate with him.
Empathic Transmission, Jason is able to affect the emotions of those around him. This works better when he is also feeling said emotion, but like eye contact, it is not required.
Obviously all these powers are weaker the more people he is trying to affect.
Skills: Jason's powers also have the side effect of increasing his brain power, so he is fairly good at puzzles and other things requiring mental fortitude. He also has a good understanding of electrical wiring because he went to school for a year to become an electrician.

Powers: Powers: Dampening He had the ability to make others powers weaker. He can basically drop a person's ability ranking two or one level down, two only allowing ten minutes of dampening and one allowing him a minute or two, for now.
Teleportation self explanatory. He can teleport any distance, but it takes away from his energy based on how far he teleports.
Knife Absorption: He has a unique ability to use his knife where when he cuts someone, any blood that comes from the cut he made is absorbed by the knife and can be used later to heal himself. Downsides are that the cut will almost instantly heal if he uses this ability on someone and that the healing process takes time. A small cut is five seconds to heal, a broken bone would be a minute, a missing limb would be an hour, etc.
Heightened Senses: Being blind, this power is half ability and half natural skill. With this, all 5 (except for sight) of his senses are enhanced.
Smell Enhances: his smell so that he can smell and identify odors much better than a human, almost as much as a dog.
Hearing Enhances: his hearing so that he can hear and identify sounds much better than a human, almost as much as a dog.
Touch Enhances: his sense of touch so that he can feel vibrations in objects much better, like being able to feel people walking, identify what he touches, etc.
Taste Enhances: his sense of taste. Mostly useful for reading tasty foods.

Knives/Handguns Over the years of practice, he had gained knowledge and skill in handguns and knives. He's accurate with a handgun and knows where to cut with his knife to ensure death, and us good at it.
Agile He's very agile, being able to run and jump long distances with little tiredness. He flexible and can move quite a bit, sometimes confusing for an enemy if he uses his agility and flexibility.

Description: She’s short, standing at only 5’2” and curvy, her body just the right proportion of body fat and muscle for her to be considered ‘hot’. That said, her face, while pretty, is enough to make her cute rather than beautiful. Her blue eyes are usually full of an impish humour, and her hair, blonde, is left long and straight. Her choice of clothes as a civilian is fairly average for her age.
Her costume is simple, a cat suit that covers most of her body, but leaves her forearms bare, there is a short skirt at her waist, at the top of which is a utility belt. It is copper in colour, but otherwise mostly undecorated, albeit with a stylised torch emblazoned across the chest in silver. Her face is completely covered by a mask of the same colour of a costume, with a mesh area around her mouth and nose, and the top left open to leave her hair free.
Powers: Hana Jameson possesses a parcel of abilities that all combine to make her far more of a threat than her diminutive size would otherwise suggest. The first one is perhaps the least well known, due to its relatively low impact effect. Hana is always at peak human condition, no matter what she eats, how she exercises, she is always at the very peak of human fitness, agility and strength.
The second ability is her most noted, and that is due to its occasionally impressive physical effects. Hana is an inventor, a developer of fantastic technology, apparently in defiance of modern restrictions. This allows her to create compact forms of common technologies, as well as creating some other, far more advanced technologies such as blasters and advanced gyroscopes. Simple compaction of technology, such as communicators, is relatively simple, and she can create and maintain a number of such things without too much exertion. However, the more advanced the technology, or the larger it is, the harder it is for her to maintain or create more equipment. This means she can help by equipping teammates, but doing so reduces her abilities to intervene directly with more powerful pieces of technology.

Brief History: Lady Liberty has a successful career behind her as a cape, one that only seems to be rising, if the records are accurate, then she has in fact been pursuing this career for a little over ten years, and her skills have only improved in that time. She has achieved a number of impressive collars in that time, including an SS ranked parahuman, though it put her in the hospital for six months. She is also one of the most experienced capes in Los Angeles, despite her young age compared to some, and is offered respect by even more powerful heroes in other cities.

And her armour is black, covering most of her body, along with fingerless gloves and a cape - yes, she likes the cape. When not being a superhero, she'll wear normal clothes.
Powers: Energy Manipulation and Manifestation - she is able to manifest a type of pure energy that she can manipulate in different ways - she can channel it into a shield, use it as a weapon, or even make it solid to lift things, etc. The only limitation she has in this power is that overuse can lead to harm to herself. Otherwise, she's capable of a lot of damage.
She also uses this ability to help her fly.
Skills: A master of sword-fighting, either single-handed or duel wielding. Is an effective hand-to-hand fighter, and can survive in pretty much any dangerous environment.
Equipment: Two short-swords with serrated appendages on each side - she channel's her energy through these titanium weapons to make them super-light, and far more powerful.

Brief History: Roze lived a simple life in Italy up until her teenage years, when her powers began to show. Although managing to hide them from the government, other, more nefarious people, got wind of it. Tracking her down to use her for her powers, they slaughtered her family as they helped her escape. Now living in America, she has agreed to join the Heroes (Someone else can decide how they all met.), but the thought of those men still after her makes her mind drift to certain un-heroic things, such as vengeance, and murder...

Probability Manipulation - Liz has the ability to effect the probability of events occurring around her. She can effect the probability of nearly anything in either a positive or negative light. The one thing she can't the probability of is a persons free will. She can't make someone vehemently against Guns suddenly have an urge to go to a shooting range, but she can effect the probability of effect happening around them that may bring to light thoughts that could disway them slowly. But nothing outright effecting free will.
When dealing with the probability of events the only stipulation is she has to be around to watch the event occur. She can't be in California and cause a car accident in Utah. She physically has to watch the events unfold. She has the capacity to use live video to manipulate the probability of things but her disconnect from the area often leads to strange things happening. So she often stays away from using that means of her gift.
Most of her gift is subconscious, working thoughtlessly to lead a certain events to occur from a vague conscious thought. Though this does not mean she cannot consciously and actively manipulate the events that occur around her. She is just usually to lazy.
Skills:
Being able to control the probability of events around her she hasn't really developed any substantial skills. She is barely above average scholastically. She is fit and healthy so she is perfectly capable of mundane tasks. She is a rather decent artist though that offers no worldly significance. Oh, she is allergic to strawberries so she is rather good at avoiding those.

Pushing: Adrian can push metal objects away from his center of gravity in a straight line, proportionally to his weight. This means that if he tries to push something that is heavier that him then Adrian is pushed back instead. Adrian uses this to fly, sort of. He drops a coin pushes it (or any metal really, a car, a nail, whatever) to the ground and then he shoots upwards, Offensively Adrian tends to use coins, launching them at bullet like speeds or to accelerate a bullet increasing its penetrating power. Defensively Adrian can make a 2 meter Push bubble around himself to steer any metal projectiles off course. Adrian has a "standby" mode for his Pushing allowing him to see blue threads connecting him to each piece of metal. Adrian can use this for espionage purposes by seeing if there is any metal moving about.
Weight Storage: Adrian can store weight to be used later, meaning he goes about his life at a fraction of his weight the weight he isn't using is stored. Adrian can then call on that stored weight, making him heavier than normal. This weight rebound can be used one of two ways, making him marginally heavier for a while, good for making punches hit harder, or insanely heavy for an instant which is useful when he wants to push something especially heavy. Note: It would take a year at one quarter weight to be able to knock down a building. Note: Even if Adrian weighed as much as a mountain his skin is still squishy, meaning he can be shot and stabbed, but not crushed or punched.
Silver Tongue: Adrian's tongue is literally silver. It makes him slightly more persuasive. Not much else to say.
Skills: Adrian used to be a long distance runner and as such has a good amount of endurance, Adrian can shoot a guy but not with a superhuman level of accuracy, investigating, voice mimicry. He's also good at golf and billiards.

Enhanced speed and reflexes. Not exactly super speed, but faster than any human can ever move. Her reflexes work roughly 3 times better than the average person.
Enhanced endurance. Not stone skin, but it does make her able to land from a 2-3 store building or limp away from a car crash. She can even suffer a swing from a bat a few times.
Building up physical energy. Basically she’s able to charge up and release blows many, many times her usual strength. The power peeks at punching through vaults, and each blow requires a new charge up. She needs to be able to move, run, jump and spin in order to build up the force she can then unleash for devastating effect.
Skills:
Extreme gymnastics that only get enhanced through her powers, making her able to do spinning stunt no person would ever dream of.
Then there’s her multiple martial arts, which didn't take that long to master once she got her powers. Combined with her hard earned skills in gymnastics this makes her a force to be reckoned with. Quadruple spin-kick… no problem!

Brief History:
Kate grew up on the street being a petty thief. But as she got older she started hanging out with the wrong crowd. Suddenly she was breaking into places one really should stay away from, but it taught her what she needed to know about infiltration.
Then her powers came…
Everything changed. Suddenly she didn't need friends, didn't need allies. She started working on her body and soon she acquired her first 10.000 from selling a stolen antiquity. She got better, did bigger stuff. Failed, but then learned from her mistakes. Succeeded and aimed higher. Failed, but then studied harder. Succeeded and aimed higher. Failed, but then got better equipment, and so on.
5 years later Kate is known as X, and you have only heard of that name, if you are someone. She is proof to the glorified lifestyle powers can give you. She lives in a penthouse, but still has to occasionally do jobs like stealing something, sabotaging something or other kinds of jobs required for a master burglar, to pay for her expensive lifestyle.
It’s no longer just her physical attributes that makes her good. There’s a lair of equipment, gadgets and portable, short-range hacking devices. Occasionally charm is required too, and Kate can most definitely mingle amongst the upper class.
The few times she has met with clients she has posed as a middleman, but getting into contact with her is no easy thing.
But something has changed slightly. A desire beyond living the dream has come. The desire to go after the government. It started after she did a small job for a guy named Mark Fletch. An actual employee working for the federal government, Mark is also an unregistered with an E Ranking. Once the job, removing a few files about him, was done, they didn't part ways. No, this success has made them both think that maybe it's possible to bring down the system or at least cripple parts of it. Mark has some inside knowledge and Kate has skills, so maybe it will work. But the second things get hot their gonna part ways.
Such an act might not be easy though. After a month Kate has grown closer to him. Closer than she had sworn anyone would get to her.
Now the agenda is breaking into facilities, sabotage, and downloading random secrets. It is not just her adrenalin addiction that fuels it anymore. It’s a protest against registrations and a stab at The Man. But it is also because she believes they might have theories and answers about the reasons behind people’s powers. Untold secrets. Public lies.
This new challenge does not distract from her taste at life; her glorified lifestyle or her need to challenge herself. However it has now put her on the radar of some very, very powerful people and… people with powers, who will go to great lengths to find and stop her…

Evelyn stands at around 5,8 feet tall, her body is covered in a naturally tanned skin that seems to have been colored by the rays of the sun to a color of honey brown. In contrast to her dark skin is her hair: she keeps her incredibly blond hair (that almost borders to white) in a neck-short fashion in order to keep it out of her way whenever she is physically active. Her tanned body shows clear signs of being used physically quite often: her muscles are clearly visible, yet she isn’t overly muscular (she tends to focus more on agility and speed that outright strength), still keeping her feminine touch: petite nose, full lips and just the right curvature that has garnered her much attention with other individuals). In great contrast to her colored skin is her fairly large eyes: they hold a misty blue hue to them.
Usually she keeps her body covered in a basic fashion: a pair of red and black running shoes, a pair of black baggy pants with pockets for the most essential items. On her upper body she usually wears a long and somewhat loose white T-shirt that has artistically drawn colors on different parts of it. On top of this she tends to wear an armless grey hoodie. She also wears a pair of fingerless black leather gloves to protect her hands when she fights or does acrobatics.
Powers: Evelyn holds the power categorized as “Dimensional Manipulation”. This holds a variety of possibilities for the user, however the most basic one is the ability to create dimensions. For Evelyn this means that she is able to create “portals”, or “windows”, into other dimensions (or one she has created). This allows her to absorb or exude physical objects through one of her ‘windows’. This a rather flexible ability that allows her to implement it into a variety of different uses:
Dimensional absorption: She can create a “window”, enabling her to absorb any physical threats to her. She can also absorb parts of herself. This also enables her to exude these attacks through another portal.
Dimensional teleportation: As she is in of herself a physical object she can absorb or exude herself (or parts of herself) into another dimension. While this would technically only allow her to disappear and reappear in the same spot instantaneously (or in another place after a time that is equal to how long it would take her to move to that location in another dimension), however as she also possesses the ability to “create” her own dimension she holds the power equal to that of “god” in that specific dimension (it should be noted that this is only in the dimensions she herself has created, not anywhere outside of it), giving her the ability to manipulate the space-time continuum within that dimension, thus enabling her to move much faster, essentially making her movements appearing instantaneously in the real world - thus giving her the ability akin to that of teleportation.
Dimensional storage: As Evelyn possesses the ability to create her own dimensions she can also ‘store’ items within a dimension. This basically means that she can hold various objects within her own dimension, instantly absorbing it or exuding it. An example would be her weapons: she doesn’t usually wear more than a few items on her body, but if, say, a rifle is necessary she can exude one from her dimensional storage. Of course this can only be done with items that she has stored in the first hand.
While this ability makes her quite versatile it is important to note that the energy required to absorb and exude any objects are directly equal to the size and matter of said object. This she can easily absorb and exude bullets or firearms, but she cannot simply absorb and explosion or, say, a meteorite.
It has been theorized that Evelyn’s power is an underdeveloped category of Spatio-Chronokinesis, however this has yet to be proven beyond the limits of the theory.
This would have been the limit of her inborn powers, however Evelyn could be what one would describe as an ‘evolved gifted’ - however the circumstances regarding this isn't something that Evelyn can remember - rather she can somehow feel that part of her abilities aren't 'normal' to her.
Regeneration: This ability constantly heals Evelyn to a degree that regular bullets have little to no effect on her in the long run. Sure they do cause damage, however her body quickly regenerates and ejects the material that has damaged any tissue. This ability does not, however, make her immortal: if she is hurt enough she will succumb to death as her energy cannot sustain the regenerative properties of her ability. Because of this it would seem that Evelyn, for reasons unknown to the scientists, developed a counter-measure for this:
Life-force absorption: Evelyn has developed the ability to absorb the life-force of that which is around her, what this makes her able to do is to regenerate body parts much faster than normal beings - and if she has absorbed enough matter she could in theory even regenerate entire limbs - however the amount of energy this would require would be equal to that of a medium sized explosion, or the entire life-force of a human being (basically causing that being to die), however this is only a theory and has yet to be proven.
It should also be noted that through this ability Evelyn has perhaps gained her only offensive ability: As she absorbs energy from, say, a human, said human feels as if they become more and more exhausted - and if she absorbs enough the target will collapse.
However, this ability isn’t fully developed - which is the reason why the lead scientist termed it as a “failure”. The reason why it was deemed as unsuccessful was because of a number of limitations:
Firstly: Evelyn has to be in physical contact with whatever she wants to absorb, this means that if she cannot get in contact with anything, she cannot utilize this power - thus limiting the usability of this ability considerably.
Secondly: The ability to heal is constantly active. This means that since it is constantly active it makes it necessary for Evelyn to re-supply herself with energy quite often - and the more she gets injured, the faster she has to replenish her supply. If she cannot do this the outcome is quite simply death. It also means that as she is getting closer to running out of energy she is weakened.
Skills: Through her time with the Corporation she was strictly trained in different arts of martial art and weaponry, making her an outstanding opponent to fight against as she can seamlessly blend the use of weapons and martial arts together with her abilities as a gifted. She is an excellent tactician, easily able to understand a situation from different perspectives and act accordingly. Furthermore her quick thinking makes her an excellent schemer, often using this to pull pranks on those around her - however she is by no means a genius, give her any form of electronic assignment and she is as lost as a bunny in hell.
She has also proven to be quite athletic and a skilled user of parkour.
Equipment: Evelyn usually carries a set of dual pistols by her hip and a pair of katanas on her back. Now because she is able to store objects within other dimensions she holds a lot more firepower that what she appears to have. At times she even hides all of her weapons in order to fool her opponents (however she cannot store bigger objects (such as cars) because of the large amount of energy it would require. She also keeps a set of medical supplies hidden as well as the basic survival tools. She has also managed to get her hands on an iPhone 7 (with earbuds) - yea, she has indeed gotten her hands on it before it has even been released, but do not ask her how, you wouldn’t like the answer and she would have to kill you afterwards. She also always keeps a pair of headphones on her body at all times: she loves to listen to music - and is currently into the indie scene.

Brief History: The case of the woman known as Evelyn Kross is an interesting one. It should be noted that while she is part of the Hots she is more often than not getting in trouble with her higher ups because she doesn’t conform to the rules that exists for them (she tends to ignore orders and even going so far as to brutally murder a target if she finds it necessary - or because they annoy her).

Whether you're part of a superhero-type team, or a well known mercenary in the underground, you will have a part to play in the coming days as numerous events shake the world. The story will be based around various arcs, each revolving around a greater mystery; The source of these new powers. For the purpose of this RP, I'd like to have two to three groups of players, with 3 to 6 players each. One 'hot' group, one 'cold' group of mercs or criminals, and one group of 'cold' businessmen and cons.
This game will be semi-realistic and brutal at times, with fast paced action and political intrigue. Any player that wants to be part of the world building process can become part of it. While I've taken the time to mold some of the American South-West, the location of this RP, there's still an entire world of capes and underworlds to be discovered. The center point of this roleplay is Los Angeles, although the action could bounce back and forth between the entire region. For more information, check the hiders below!
I'd like to go ahead and say I drew a lot of inspiration from the web serial 'Worm', by Wildbow, which can be found with a quick Google search.
May 1st, 2010: The Maybark Incident. At 3:41 pm, at the local community high school in Maybark, NC, student Joseph Brown went on a murderous rampage, ending in the deaths of three fellow students and one teacher. He was eventually taken down by local law enforcement. Normally this would go down as another school tragedy, and perhaps it would get some media attention before dying down after a month or so. This massacre, however, would go down in history books as one of the defining moments in human history. The reason behind this was the assailant's God-complex, largely fueled by his seemingly unnatural powers.
Following this, publicity around mysterious, previously thought unexplainable events exploded. Dozens of individuals were revealed to also have unexplained powers, and shortly after national efforts flushed many more out. Laws were passed in an effort to control those gifted in many countries, forcing thousands to take action: Either hide underground, or make themselves invaluable.
Now, five years later, the Gifted are separated into two groups. The 'Hots', those publicly recognized as having super powers and not treated as pariahs for it. Corporate moguls, public activists, and superpowered groups defending cities all fall under this category. Hots make up a vocal minority of the Gifted, making up perhaps one-tenth of their numbers. The remaining Gifted, 'Colds', stay out of the spotlight. Many try and live normal lives, ignoring their powers to the best of their ability. Some, however, spend their time as anti-heroes roaming the streets, or as private mercenaries and criminals.

New heroes have been asked to take their place, from around the nation, and a handful have accepted. Word has spread, and gangs around the city challenge these new capes. Mercenaries are in hot demand as businesses and individuals are unsure of the new heroes, while the corporate 'colds' continue their business as usual. L.A. is rife with possibilities and opportunities for anyone with the guts to make them. The city is seemingly under siege from within, and the worst is still yet to come..

3. Yes, this is Low-Casual and up. This means post at least two-three full lines in this thread. However, I still expect clear speech, decent grammar, and good formatting! Walls of text will be ignored until reformatted!
4. No PC Killing without its player's permission. This isn't a rule I'm a huge fan of, but I will enforce it just like the others.
5. Follow any other site rules, in addition to my own. If you make it a habit of breaking rules, you will be allowed a single post to say farewell with your character, and then you will be removed from the RP.

Description: Elijah is a simple man, preferring jeans and boots over suits although he does own one. He does however tend to favor somewhat nice button up shirts with the sleeves rolled just below the elbows. His style of dress matches well with ruggedly handsome face. Adorned with dark hair and even darker eyes. He owns a blue and white motorcycle jacket that he can be seen wearing more often than not.
In costume he is still of the simple minded. A Red carbon fiber, full faced helmet with a slim profile and black eyes covers his head. A black long sleeve combat shirt with red and yellow flaming dragon across the chest. Integrated with split armor plates across his torso, this provides just as much mobility as it does protection. His bottom half his covered in jeans and black combat boots. His hands are clothed in combat gloves as well. Simple yet effective.
His 5’11 frame is covered by a lean 200 pounds worth of muscle and organs. While heavy you would never expect it. Even upon close close inspection one would think he’d he was closer to 180 pounds. A lean athletic frame that is built more on running and endurance than it is through brute power.
Powers: Erupting/Burning body: His primary ability to envelop his body in fiery plasma without harm to himself, in which form he is able to fly by providing thrust behind himself with his own flame, and to generate powerful streams and/or balls of flame. He can also manipulate his flame in such a way as to shape it into rings and other forms. Even when not engulfed in flame himself, Elijah has the ability to control any fire within his immediate range of vision, causing it to increase or decrease in intensity or to move in a pattern directed by his thoughts. Additionally, he is able to absorb fire/plasma into his body with no detrimental effects. He has shown the ability to detect heat signatures (infra-red vision)
The plasma field immediately surrounding his body is sufficiently hot enough to vaporize projectiles that approach him, including but not limited to bullets. He does not generally extend this flame-aura beyond a few inches from his skin, so as not to ignite nearby objects. Elijah refers to his maximum flame output as his "nova flame," which he can release omnidirectional. Flame of any temperature lower than this cannot burn or harm him. This "nova" effect can occur spontaneously when he absorbs an excessive amount of heat, although he can momentarily suppress the release when necessary, with considerable effort. Storm can also direct momentary beams of "nova heat" as a weapon.
Elijah has demonstrated enough control that he can hold a person while in his flame form without his passenger feeling discomforting heat. His knowledge extends to general information about fire as well. In one instance when poisoned, Elijah superheated his blood to burn the toxin out.
Elijah ability to ignite himself is limited by the quantity of oxygen in his environment, and his personal flame has been extinguished by sufficient quantities of water, flame retardant foam, and vacuum environments.He can reignite instantly once oxygen is returned, with no ill effects. He can however only ignite certain parts of his body. A hand, foot, or any other limb as the situation needs.
There are however many limitations that come with his powers. Elijah does have a time limit on the use of his powers. For example in his full body he has a maximum time limit of 3 to 5 minutes. This time limit however grows exponentially when only using a single limb such as hand or a foot, meaning around 30 minutes. This time is lessened when he goes full Nova. Both is Erupting form and his full Nova form cause some level of stress on his body. If he pushes too hard he could pass out. Another problem he has, would be a lack of oxygen. His eruption form could be used indoors or underground but not without risk. His Nova forms burn oxygen up so quickly, that hes been left lying on the floor, gagging. Even outside he has to be cautious, because he can harm his allies with oxygen deprivation just as much as your enemies. Just being close to Elijah can be very draining.
Skills: Through years of hard work, a little stupidity and some help from military. Elijah has cultivate a massive skill set in hand to hand combat, and small arms combat. His close to midrange marksmanship skills are top notch, though he leaves something to be desired in long range shooting.
So long as the vehicle doesn't have much in the way of computers Elijah can serve as an above average mechanic. Much more skilled in motorcycles than cars. This holds true in his ability to ride a motorcycle as opposed to driving a car.
Equipment: Seeing as his powers are based strictly on the amount oxygen. Elijah has a couple of secondary weapons. An FNP .45 Tactical, three spare clips and two pocket knives. One a straight edge lock blade the other is a more tactical weapon, a fixed blade with a tanto tip and a serrated blade.

Kinetic control-The ability to manipulate, and shape kinetic energy. This is done by pulling kinetic energy from one source, and putting it somewhere else, and vice versa. With this he can cause a moving object to stop, or slow down(it all depends on the forces at play,) or make something else speed up.
Thermal manipulation-So refined is Holme's control over kinetic energy that he can manipulate it down at the atomic level, and In doing manipulate an object's temperature by causing the motion in a particle to rise or slow.
The biggest drawback to Dirk's power is that he's bound to the laws of physics just as everyone else. This leads to his major problems. Mostly its that energy can neither be created or destroyed. Though it appears he has a variety of abilities, really all he's doing is moving motion from one area of another. For example if a wall of ice freezes in front of him, its because he's slowing down the motion of the water molecules in front of him, but that doesn't mean the movement disappears. He's just putting it somewhere else like imprinting kinetic energy in the air around him so it goes up in temperature, or if he thrusts his blade at someone and it goes way too fast. He's not pulling kinetic energy out of nowhere, but drawing it from another source. A keen observer might notice the air around him cooling down, an increase of temperature in the ground around them, or a sudden stillness in the wind; any of which could be reactions from a sudden loss of motion.
The second biggest weakness for Holme's ability is that his range isn't infinite. At the most he's able to manipulate motion up to a distance of fifty feet. That's not to say that the effects of his powers stop at fifty, its just he can't make any changes to motion beyond that point.
Power aside, Dirk has the endurance of a regular human being, and that means he must take care not to allow himself to be damaged by exposing himself forces beyond what his body is capable of handling. A good example of this, other than obviously taking care not to expose himself to temperatures that are beyond what a human body could take, is using an increase in kinetic energy to add force to a punch. Yes, he could do more damage, but regardless of the amount of kinetic energy propelling his fist forward, he's still made of only blood and bone, and there's a limit to what that can take before being damaged. The same goes for if he's drawing or exerting motion dealing temperature. If he creates something too hot, or too cold, near enough, it will cause him bodily harm.
Also, he cannot manipulate the motions inside living tissue IE he can only manipulate forces outside of the human body
The only limitation that bothers Dirk, strangely enough, is a lack of an ability towards potential energy. For some reason, even though he's sure he should be able to, he isn't able to store energy into anything. That is to say, he's unable to store motion or power into anything..

In costume he is still of the simple minded. A Red carbon fiber, full faced helmet with a slim profile and black eyes covers his head. A black long sleeve combat shirt with red and yellow flaming dragon across the chest. Integrated with split armor plates across his torso, this provides just as much mobility as it does protection. His bottom half his covered in jeans and black combat boots. His hands are clothed in combat gloves as well. Simple yet effective.
His 5’11 frame is covered by a lean 200 pounds worth of muscle and organs. While heavy you would never expect it. Even upon close close inspection one would think he’d he was closer to 180 pounds. A lean athletic frame that is built more on running and endurance than it is through brute power.
Powers: Erupting/Burning body: His primary ability to envelop his body in fiery plasma without harm to himself, in which form he is able to fly by providing thrust behind himself with his own flame, and to generate powerful streams and/or balls of flame. He can also manipulate his flame in such a way as to shape it into rings and other forms. Even when not engulfed in flame himself, Elijah has the ability to control any fire within his immediate range of vision, causing it to increase or decrease in intensity or to move in a pattern directed by his thoughts. Additionally, he is able to absorb fire/plasma into his body with no detrimental effects. He has shown the ability to detect heat signatures (infra-red vision)
The plasma field immediately surrounding his body is sufficiently hot enough to vaporize projectiles that approach him, including but not limited to bullets. He does not generally extend this flame-aura beyond a few inches from his skin, so as not to ignite nearby objects. Elijah refers to his maximum flame output as his "nova flame," which he can release omnidirectional. Flame of any temperature lower than this cannot burn or harm him. This "nova" effect can occur spontaneously when he absorbs an excessive amount of heat, although he can momentarily suppress the release when necessary, with considerable effort. Storm can also direct momentary beams of "nova heat" as a weapon.
Elijah has demonstrated enough control that he can hold a person while in his flame form without his passenger feeling discomforting heat. His knowledge extends to general information about fire as well. In one instance when poisoned, Elijah superheated his blood to burn the toxin out.
Elijah ability to ignite himself is limited by the quantity of oxygen in his environment, and his personal flame has been extinguished by sufficient quantities of water, flame retardant foam, and vacuum environments.He can reignite instantly once oxygen is returned, with no ill effects. He can however only ignite certain parts of his body. A hand, foot, or any other limb as the situation needs.
There are however many limitations that come with his powers. Elijah does have a time limit on the use of his powers. For example in his full body he has a maximum time limit of 3 to 5 minutes. This time limit however grows exponentially when only using a single limb such as hand or a foot, meaning around 30 minutes. This time is lessened when he goes full Nova. Both is Erupting form and his full Nova form cause some level of stress on his body. If he pushes too hard he could pass out. Another problem he has, would be a lack of oxygen. His eruption form could be used indoors or underground but not without risk. His Nova forms burn oxygen up so quickly, that hes been left lying on the floor, gagging. Even outside he has to be cautious, because he can harm his allies with oxygen deprivation just as much as your enemies. Just being close to Elijah can be very draining.
Skills: Through years of hard work, a little stupidity and some help from military. Elijah has cultivate a massive skill set in hand to hand combat, and small arms combat. His close to midrange marksmanship skills are top notch, though he leaves something to be desired in long range shooting.
So long as the vehicle doesn't have much in the way of computers Elijah can serve as an above average mechanic. Much more skilled in motorcycles than cars. This holds true in his ability to ride a motorcycle as opposed to driving a car.
Equipment: Seeing as his powers are based strictly on the amount oxygen. Elijah has a couple of secondary weapons. An FNP .45 Tactical, three spare clips and two pocket knives. One a straight edge lock blade the other is a more tactical weapon, a fixed blade with a tanto tip and a serrated blade.

Kinetic control-The ability to manipulate, and shape kinetic energy. This is done by pulling kinetic energy from one source, and putting it somewhere else, and vice versa. With this he can cause a moving object to stop, or slow down(it all depends on the forces at play,) or make something else speed up.
Thermal manipulation-So refined is Holme's control over kinetic energy that he can manipulate it down at the atomic level, and In doing manipulate an object's temperature by causing the motion in a particle to rise or slow.
The biggest drawback to Dirk's power is that he's bound to the laws of physics just as everyone else. This leads to his major problems. Mostly its that energy can neither be created or destroyed. Though it appears he has a variety of abilities, really all he's doing is moving motion from one area of another. For example if a wall of ice freezes in front of him, its because he's slowing down the motion of the water molecules in front of him, but that doesn't mean the movement disappears. He's just putting it somewhere else like imprinting kinetic energy in the air around him so it goes up in temperature, or if he thrusts his blade at someone and it goes way too fast. He's not pulling kinetic energy out of nowhere, but drawing it from another source. A keen observer might notice the air around him cooling down, an increase of temperature in the ground around them, or a sudden stillness in the wind; any of which could be reactions from a sudden loss of motion.
The second biggest weakness for Holme's ability is that his range isn't infinite. At the most he's able to manipulate motion up to a distance of fifty feet. That's not to say that the effects of his powers stop at fifty, its just he can't make any changes to motion beyond that point.
Power aside, Dirk has the endurance of a regular human being, and that means he must take care not to allow himself to be damaged by exposing himself forces beyond what his body is capable of handling. A good example of this, other than obviously taking care not to expose himself to temperatures that are beyond what a human body could take, is using an increase in kinetic energy to add force to a punch. Yes, he could do more damage, but regardless of the amount of kinetic energy propelling his fist forward, he's still made of only blood and bone, and there's a limit to what that can take before being damaged. The same goes for if he's drawing or exerting motion dealing temperature. If he creates something too hot, or too cold, near enough, it will cause him bodily harm.
Also, he cannot manipulate the motions inside living tissue IE he can only manipulate forces outside of the human body
The only limitation that bothers Dirk, strangely enough, is a lack of an ability towards potential energy. For some reason, even though he's sure he should be able to, he isn't able to store energy into anything. That is to say, he's unable to store motion or power into anything..

That's fine, I'm just saying that as the game progresses he can have sorta-blackholes. Hand waving is where we take something that should happen, and then just kind of ignore it. For example, black holes are cold. Like, really cold. Almost absolute zero, which raises a lot of problems. So we're gonna handwave that; Take it out of the picture. I'm also pretty sure that when black holes die, they explode. At least, that's what I think the wikipedia article said. So we're gonna hand wave that, because I assume the explosions are really big. There's also all the issues with time that black holes mess with, so we're gonna get rid of those. So you can have a sorta-blackhole, if you want.
