The head referee stepped forward to the participants, Offering his hand to each of them in turn. "Congratulations on the hard-fought victories, both of you. As victors of the tournament, not only do you split the small entry pot for the contest, but you also split a month's worth of delicious Poffins from our sponsor, Poffin House!" Motioning to the side, the ref pointed to several large bags of the luxury food item.

"Poffins are guaranteed to improve your Pokemon's coat and condition in a week, or your money's back! Poffins won as prizes in Poffin House sponsored tournaments, not eligible for refunds. Have a good evening, folks!"
"They'll be joining us. We'll also be picking up Masters Yi and Sho, and their star pupils. The best Earth has to offer. I just hope it's enough to push back the invading forces." In the distance nearly a dozen ships were being prepared for the Earthlings to embark, larger than the pods of their Saiyan counterparts, but also sturdier and able to hold nearly a score at a time. Every human worth a damn would be embarking in a matter of hours.
Sorry it took so long, Saturday was my birthday and my entire weekend was pretty packed.

I honestly don't know what to do about a double knock out, I'd agree to a tie just to speed things up, or do a quick PM again.

Really liked the write up Tenoren! Some good stuff.

PM me when you get it wrote up Cirus.
A table of three referees talked amongst themselves, whispers mingling with the crowd arguing amongst themselves. Although disagreements were abound, the one thing everyone could shake hands on was that the battle was tough fought. Finally, the ref of the battle was called over by the panel, and more words were exchanged amongst the now four individuals. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as the ref returned to his spot on the edge of the arena.

"As the rules state, in the event of a double knock out both participants may agree to a tie. In the even a tie is not agreed upon, however, a sudden death challenge will take place, wherein the first Pokemon to land a hit will take the victory. The participants may now talk and come to an agreement. You have one minute to talk."

"From what I've been told, Earth has been setting up defenses across the Solar System. Our battle plan largely depends on what our sensors pick up, and how the invading forces plan to approach this war. Once their ships pass the Oort Cloud we'll be able to pin point their advances exactly. If it looks like they're planning to rush towards Earth, our forces are as prepared as they'll ever be, and our orbital defenses will be prepared to hopefully shoot down any incoming ships. Obviously, this may not have 100% effectiveness, and any talented pilot will be able to navigate through." Pointing towards a nearby table with several soldiers huddled around it, Glass walked up and began to point out various points on several maps.

"If they don't intend to bee-line towards earth, however, we have problems. For this reason, we'll be shipping to Mars in the next day or so, in order to be at more of a medium distance to our outermost colonies while still being close to Earth. Europa is our most vulnerable target, and the ocean moon lacks almost any true defenses. While soldiers and orbital emplacements have been moved to defend it, there is little in the way of its complete annihilation if a true threat were to arrive. Given enough time, however, we could be able to arrive from Mars in around a day."

"Outside of this, we have strategies in place for every colony in the system, and tactics planned for most scenarios. At this point all we can do is continue to improve our defenses and get in a last bit of training."
"Ah, the cyborgs I've heard so much about. You caused quite a bit of panic on this planet, from what I understand." Chadre glanced at the three women without an energy signature, trying to silently gauge them, but coming up a bit short for her purposes. "I suppose I'll be seeing all of you a lot the next few days. From what I understand, we're the big guns when it comes to the defense forces. Hopefully something worth my time will come up, and we can see what everyone's made of." Smirking again, the woman finished shaking hands.

"I'd rather it not come to that." Glass was weary, the days of long training eroding him. "Hopefully this is all for nothing, and no one will have to get hurt."

The Saiyan woman narrowed her eyes at Glass before turning. "Well, I suppose we'll just have to see, then. I have meetings to attend to. Good day."
I'm pumped to see who wins.
Glass shot Vera a dirty look before turning to face the envoys again, keeping more quiet than the woman. "You'll find that the Son family are the exception to the rule. Saiyan pride is still at play. The only reason they sent a Royal Guard is because of a clause in our treaty, and from what I understand Chadre is something of a hot shot. I have a feeling she was instructed to stay on her best behavior."

As the Namekian said her name, the Chadre turned to them and smirked, flying towards then while Fuzzie continued greeting warriors. Landing in front of the group, she studied them all up and down with something like a predator's curiosity in her eyes. "Well, look what we have here. Earth really is the mixing part of this part of the galaxy, isn't it? Some Namekians, some cyborgs, an earthling. What a surprise. Judging by the feeling I'm getting off your living members, I'd assume that you all are the real warriors here? Nice to see some people take training seriously, at least."

"Oh, but where are my manners! Allow me to introduce myself." She offered her hand to each of their group. "Chadre Tai, member of the Royal Vegeta Guard and acting Brigadier General of the Terran Expeditionary Force."

"I'm Glass, Guardian of Earth. Nice to make your acquaintance." Shaking the woman's hand, the Namekian noted her grip was intense. He matched her strength with his own, and got another smirk out of her for his trouble.
You're spectating right now, or you can write up being invited to the next tournament! After this one will probably be a time skip to the invite-only tournament.
Zach fought the urge to smile, hearing the girl talk to herself. "I'll just leave you to figure this out then. Good luck on your match!" Stepping away, the teen waved at Alice as he walked off to the stands to mingle with the crowd and hype himself up from his loss. A few spectators patted him on the back and offered kind words. They didn't help much, but the thought was enough to pick him up from the clutches of depression.

Sitting next to him, a man offered his hand to Zacharias. "Hey there. My name's Mark, I saw your battle earlier."

"Hah, thanks. I know it was a pretty rough loss."

Mark raised an eyebrow, before laughing out loud. "Oh, I didn't think so at all! In fact, I was actually going to offer you another chance to compete. You interested?"

Now it was Zach's turn to raise an eyebrow. "Really? shouldn't you be offering this to the person who won the match?"

"Oh, I'll get around to it." Mark glanced towards Alice, who Zach had just left. "She seems preoccupied at the moment, though. I'll take that question as you being interested?"

Thinking for a moment, Zach nodded. "Yeah, I'm definitely interested! Where and when can I compete? Anything I need to know?"

"Here, take this." Mark handed a pamphlet to Zach, who started to look through the paper. "That should have pretty much everything in it you'll need to see. It's invite only, so it really is an honor for you to be invited to this. I only have eight invites, and you're one of 'em pal."

"Well, thanks!" The man stood and offered his hand again.

"I'll see you there then, Zacharias. My email's on the pamphlet if you need to contact me for anything. I need to talk to the others." With those parting words, Mark left, waving behind him absently.
