•Character Name: Isiarlles (Viscountess to you) Catrin Alis Hywel (Cadi for short)
•Gender: Female
•Age: 20 years
•Height: 5’7”
•Appearance:
Cadi is of a fair height for a woman, with fair skin and dark hair typically hidden by her veil. Sea foam green-blue eyes and a precise nose sit above a thoughtful curved mouth and a quizzical brow. Cadi dresses as a woman of her station is expected to, with her curling black hair covered demurely in a veil, her skirts long and her sleeves as well. A shawl typically draped over her shoulder or through the crook of her elbows as her home land can be a damp and chilly place.
•Personality: Cadi was much like her family, hot tempered, fast to laugh and quick witted, but being the eldest child and the first daughter she was taught to be more demure, more lady like. Soon Cadi learned to tame her temper, to think carefully of her words before speaking them, and to find a gentle way to get what she wanted rather than the immediate pushiness she was prone to. Of course from time to time her passions get the better of her, but for the most part Cadi is a credit to her tutors.
She loves her family dearly and is most often found smiling in their company alone, the rest of the time a prudent and cautious expression covering her smooth face, careful to keep her best foot forward on the tricky grounds of noble life.
•Nobility Title: Isiarrlles (Viscountess)
•Martial Status: Unmarried, her family is determined to make the best possible match for Catrin as possible. For herself and moreso for the family and the betterment of Whales.
•Biography: Growing up the first and eldest daughter of Viscount Gwallter Hilarius Hywel and Viscountess Olwyn Mallt Hywel Cadi was both the precious first daughter and the role model, cherished and yet expected to behave and conduct herself with all the expectations of her line. With fair features and an eager mind Cadi met the challenges of each and every day with the will to become all that she was bidden to be, even if it meant fighting for it.
Soon with a sister and then a brother to follow her footsteps and avoid her blunders Catrin Alis was proud of her titles and her knowledge, feeling sure she would secure her family in the noble ranks of Whales. The hardest challenge byfar was that of mastering her temper and her sharp tongue. For no lady ought to be as snappish as she. While shameful when her outbursts won out, Cadi was not the type to remain chastised. Pride was one of her virtues…or was it a sin? Who knew!
Still she overcame these temptations for the most part and became the lady she needed to be, graceful, gentle, well read, thoughtful, knowing how to run a household and keep a keep. If only all this learning wasn’t so testing of one’s patience! Roaming the halls and vestibules in Montgomery was becoming tedious, and with all the men at arms and knights and squires rushing about for the skirmishes with the English Barons…
Cadi was sore tempted to fall into pitiful thinking, her role seemed so small compared to those warriors.
•Starting Location: Montgomery
•Likes: The few Sunshine days we have, a good laugh or sleeping past the beckons of the servants.
•Dislikes: Long sermons, winter storms and losing a debate with my brother. She also hates being spoken to as if she were a slow child and ignored as if she were no more important than the fluttering of a breeze.
•Notable Skills: Reading, writing, a sharp mind and the rare ability to hold her tongue. She also is rather tall and strong for a woman, or so her brother complains.
