Name: Cole
Age: 23
Class: Abomination
Appearance: Cole is tan, thin, and heavily scarred. He is bald, not even having facial hair. On his head is a ugly brand of some occult symbol. He wears patchwork slacks held in place by a thick rope. He has a sack cloth shirt, a tattered, threadbare cloak wrapped around his shoulders. Around his wrists are manacles, chains wrapped about his arms so they don't drag and make noise.
Personality/Motivation: Cole went to the Estate to escape from the cruel hands of men. He heard tales of men and women who swore service to a Baron who didn't care about your heritage, or how you looked. He is quiet and melancholy, keeping to himself unless someone talks to him first. He is desperate to find a place for himself in this world, and those who would accept him. He is nervous around those who are religious, and has a dislike of churches. While transformed (which he does not enjoy), Cole turns into a bloodthirsty monster. The very transformation unnerves people, and many try to stay away from him in order to rid themselves of his "ungodliness". He can control when he transforms, but the beast inside him seems to have a personality of its own, urging him to kill and to feed.
Phobias/Mental Ticks: Cole is always nervous, and loud sounds surprise him. His nerves have eaten away at him, literally. He's pretty sure he has an ulcer. That has to be why he vomits up that corrosive stuff every so often, right? He is afraid of the majority of people, pretty much everyone at first unless they prove otherwise. Being what he is though, he has a resilience to diseases, sickness, and open wounds. He refuses to visit the church to unwind, preferring the empty corners of the bar, where he can sit in peace. Mostly.
Biography: Born in some obscure hamlet in object filth and poverty, Cole was abducted at a young age by men seeking to create the perfect weapon. Years of torture, abuse, and experimentation have made Cole a shell of a man. On his seventeenth birthday, the men performed some occult ritual, branding an unholy mark on his head. They chained him to the floor while performing this dark ritual. Cole's body and mind filled with fear and terror, and with rage and anger alike. The being they had infused him with broke free of its mortal shell, transforming Cole into an abomination. Breaking free of his bonds, the men who had tortured him and experimented upon him stood no chance. He slew them all.
Half a decade later, Cole finds himself at the Estate, hoping to turn his luck and quell the beast inside. Maybe he can put this curse to good work, and earn a living for himself.
Or maybe he will die alone, far away from the light... In the Darkest Dungeon.
