Kiera was elated when she was starting out, even though seeing someone's gastrointestinal tract was a little bit weird. Not to mention after the whole disease thing, she could swear some of the crew members were shooting daggers at her, but even though half of the crew would kill her if they had the chance, Dessa's lessons were very informative and taught her some things she never learned about.

"Now you try it. Transfer two heating spells into a memory spell and see what happens. It should make a little pop when activated." Dessa said. Kiera smirked to herself. This was no sweat. She drew two heating circles and then a memory circle. She dipped both hands into the heating circles, watching them glow and evaporate the suds. After that, she dipped her hands into the memory circle. She thought she would hear a pop, but nothing happened. Did she mess up? "Um Dessa, I did exactly what you did, but memory circle didn't evaporate the suds and make a pop noise. Did I do something wrong?"

"Do not let yourself lose everything in ignorance." Kiera barely heard. Huh, must've been my imagination. she thought. She immediately forgot all about what she heard after she realized that they were about to start training. "Can we get started?" she asked excitedly. Not only was she couldn't wait to be a better healer, she couldn't wait to practice learn more about this special skill.

Yet there was a part of her that thought, Are you even ready to learn anything like this? In fact, what if you mess up? Kiera decided to push that thought aside. She was ready to learn something more interesting than "What can of herbs can cure stomachache?" She couldn't wait for the adventure ahead of her.

"Oh, of course!" Kiera exclaimed. She was very excited for what Dessa might teach her, plus she can't wait to show all her friends back at home her new abilities! She'd also be able to heal people easier, but that didn't matter that much to her. One thing did concern her though...

"Why are you doing this though? I mean, teaching someone something so powerful, you must want something, right" I'll join, but I'd like to know what I'm getting into first." Kiera explained. Even though she wished that Dessa wanted nothing, she knew that someone wouldn't a million dollars without expected something else in return.

@Thinslayer Sorry for not posting for a while! I had a few things come up, so I wasn't able to touch my compiuter, haha. I'm now a bit more free though.

"Would you permit me to train you in what little ability I know?" Dessa said. Kiera was speechless. She didn't really expect her to help train her, but she did want to know how to do whatever Dessa did to Gurk back there, but Dessa was a complete stranger. If she did want to train her, then where?

She still wanted to be with her parents and everyone else back at Easthaven, yet she still wanted to learn the magic Dessa was doing. Then, she finally decided on what to do.

"Of course, but can I first say goodbye to my family first? I don't want them to think that something bad happened to me." Kiera finally said. She felt both excited and nervous, and for some reason, she felt like something big was going to happen.

@Thinslayer "You may call me Dessa. What is your name, and where is your home?" The woman asked. Kiera was still in shock with how the woman cast the spell. She never saw anyone cast a spell like that before! Who was this mystery woman? With almost a thousand thoughts brimming in her mind, she almost forgot the question at hand.

"Oh! Uh, my name is Kiera and I live in East Haven. Well, lived considering I was ever since I become a slave on this yacht." She smiled. She hoped this woman would help get her off this yacht so she can go back to dazzling all of the villagers in her town with her healing powers while being complimented on how pretty she looked and how talented she was.

"By the way... What do you mean by plans?" She asked Dessa. "What are you planning to do with Gurk? Not that I mind if anything bad happens to him, but I'd like to know what's going on."
