Minor update, working on an interest check for that Victorian "Ghostbusters." If anyone has ideas that will possibly save me from typing all this up, have at it.

Low key thinking of a roleplay having to do with Victorian Era ghost and demon hunters. That might sound cool right?

If I was Sarah J. Maas, I'd be sure to tell everybody ^^

Sadly, I'm not really famous for anything.
The Ten Axioms of the Hunt.

III. The Hunter Hunts without prejudice.
IV. The Hunt is an act of mercy.
V. The Hunter’s equipment is a tool, not a weapon.
VI. The Hunter Hunts only those deemed Prey.
VII. A Hunter who unjustly murders a civilian is sentenced to death.
VIII. A Hunter who murders another Hunter is sentenced to death.
IX. A Hunter who defects from the Hunt is sentenced to death.
X. A Hunter Hunts till their death.

Our story takes place in Victorian Era London, in the year 1850. With the Industrial Revolution raging across the West, many British people sought jobs, and the illusion of mass wealth, in the already overcrowded factories and streets of London. Many of the people who came ended up working extremely long hours in the numerous factories, with all of that work amounting to almost no pay. Overworked, underfed and underpaid, the people of London began to riot. Factory workers refused to show up, bakers shut down all their ovens, almost all industry halted within London. Without a proper labor force in London, and the looming threat of riots spreading to neighboring cities and villages, Queen Victoria faced a problem.

Around the same time, a plague had begun spreading across London, the likes of which the world had ever seen. While casualties were much less than the infamous Bubonic Plague, the number of infected people was estimated to be almost the entire population of England. The disease itself didn’t kill, but it was the disease did to them. Those infected transformed into hideous and grotesque beasts. These beasts, no longer quite human, wreaked havoc on the whole of England, their insatiable bloodlust being the cause of the many casualties.

With such a plague going around, the Queen made a single proclamation:

Resume work, and the Crown shall protect you.

And so, with little to no other options, the Londoners resumed work. England slowly quarantined itself, refusing the entry or departure of its borders. The country was in chaos, with cities falling left and right to the inevitable takeover of the bloodthirsty beasts. London became the last bastion against the scourge that threatened to end them all, only furthering the population and overcrowding issues. The world refused to help due to the risk of the plague furthering, leaving England to fend for itself.

Enter the Hunters. A mysterious group by nature, the organization was set up by Queen Victoria to be slayer of beasts, The group quickly became known for their strange weaponry, often accompanied by mechanical parts that allowed the weapons to change form. By day, London seemed normal, but once night fell, the Hunters reigned supreme. Through their sheer force of will and unrelenting Hunts, the beastly scourge seemingly slowed down. The Hunters almost single handedly saved London, with them now being frequently dispatched to neighboring areas.

This is my idea for an RP, sort of based of a video game named Bloodborne! I want to avoid the Lovecraftian aspects of the game and focus more on the beasts and the hunt and such. I sort of rushed this out real quick, but if you're interested hit me up!
I kinda like the idea.

espically with the whole time gap thing.

Also for how it can work, for example, the when the school girl swaps over, the other person controls the people around her and see how events unfold and the same for the person in the past.

If we doing this I will love to play the person from the past for I already have a character in mind I can be.

I think that is what I had in mind too. It would be a lot of interactions with NPCs as opposed to the characters interacting. I imagined that people wouldn't like that a whole lot, but given that you seem interested...

Should we discuss this more in the PMeridoos?
That was the movie.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’ve been mulling over what kind of interest check I should put on here for a couple days now, and everytime I kept coming up short. However, last night gave me an epiphany, particularly after watching a movie. I’m not going to mention the movie’s name for spoiler reasons, if you could even consider it that. I imagine some would, which is why I’m being careful about that.

That being said, the plot would be about a gender/role swap. The main premise of the movie is two people switching bodies when they go to sleep, where they have to live the life of the other person that next day. This keeps repeating, obviously causing issues, etc. I wanted to try a roleplay like that, or maybe something similar. Maybe take it a step further, having those two people from different time periods? A king and a schoolgirl, a WWII era soldier and a peasant from medieval europe, things like that! I want it to be quite interesting, though I understand it would be a lot of our characters NOT interacting.

I’m not sure how to fully do this roleplay because of it, but I’d like to hear suggestions? What are people’s thoughts on it?
That's true. I should have taken other people's occupations into account.

I'm an author, and self employed at that, and coupled with an ADD brain I do a lot of stuff at once, mostly constant typing.
Not speedposting, if it means having a sentence or two.

I was thinking maybe a paragraph or two. Action > Reaction > thoughts / descriptions.
@tex Genre wise, I want to try avoiding the sci fi sort of stuff. I personally have nothing against it, but it's what all my writing has been so far and I would like to branch out. Maybe a bit of a cutesy slice of life, or some kind of medieval thing?

I'll have to find someone somewhat active anyhow.
Hmmmm... I guess.

I just don't want to get trapped into waiting a week for a post. I'd like to have at least a couple a day or something.
Is it relatively active? The closest thing to roleplay I've done is probably DnD, so that's all I have to go off of.

Is it possible to find people who can just sit down and collaborate on their writing for hours, as opposed to sitting around for posts?
