Nah mayn, it's good to nerd out, but you're still underestimating plate. That shit stopped anything. There is no way to cut through plate. Comes down to the metallurgy used in creating blades VS creating armour. Blades are too thin to cut through plate, on impact they just roll or chip.
This is because in heat treating, armour is made harder than an average blade. What that means is that on the molecular level, the structure of it is quite crystalline and dense. This, combined with the large surface area, is why blades are useless against armour. They're just not dense or hard enough

In contrast, hammers have a surface area that is larger, and often spiked, which causes it to grip the armour. The greater weight behind it means it can cause concussive injury with more ease.

Only reliable way to stop someone in full plate is to bring friends

When Alice broke the silence, Augie looked up into her eyes. She was saying how it was too much up there, to which he just nodded.

Unity." he said, tone shifting slightly for the next words, "But doubtless there'll be pain before they're alright. It's always like that. Life is the intermission between shitshows. I think... I think this is just the next shit show for all of us,"
There was faith in his friends in his words, but there was also a rawness which coloured his words with a sense of unease, though it was her next words that truly gave him pause. What was it for?

He sat, staring at her a moment. Taken off kilter by the moment. Fiddling absently with the cord to his ear buds.

Stuttering and blinking, he said "I... don't really know. Maybe some kind of power trip? I- I think it helps to think that... maybe. It... it kinda gives you something to root against. People like that… need that? People need that. Or maybe... could be that- that someone wants to prove a point about helping friends out. I... I really don't know, Alice. What... what do you think?"

He didn't normally stutter.

What am I doing in a chapel? Where can I get food? Who is this dwarf? Where is Georges? Cassius? Dmitri? Do I... know anyone that died last night?

Mind raced as body sat stock still, rigid as a plank. When the dwarf came in, Monika smiled and folded her arms. She wanted to be nice, but was terrified of so many things at once. It certainly didn't help that she'd never seen a dwarf before, and had no idea how to talk to them.

"I'm sorry, you probably know healing better than I do. It's nothing special, do whatever you can," she said quickly. She shifted on her box and looked down at the floor.
