koran, confused by the pup's growling,especially at him, wondered... "could it be possible that im only half demon....?"verona smiled at korans pondering. " no, silly, it just cant sense our angel side yet, perhaps that is still dormant within you, tehe!" she giggles, flicking koran's nose. she turns to look at the puppy. "fear or anger not, young one, i am of no threat, i wish to escape here as well...."she reached out to pet it, as her eye glowed blue, just as the pup's eyes have been. she calmly placed her hand along its armored hide, petting it softly. "no need to worry, you are in good company, from what i have seen."she looks to mason, looking into his eyes. " i feel your heart as if it were as cold as stone... i pray that i may warm it, if you choose my offer...."koran looks at the puppy. "such a unique little creature, he seems to really like you, mason, perhaps he would make a great companion. i had a dog when i was alive, cute little fella..."

Mason glared at Koran for a second, he would withhold the feelings of anger he felt for the demon but it seemed this pup could do more than translate his emotions for him."Maybe he just doesn't like you..." He smirked a bit at the idea, he watched Verona intently as she neared the pup, being as protective as a father would be when introducing his newborn to people. Mason looked at Verona with question, what did she mean his heart? Could she just have meant his lack of emotion other than anger? "You know nothing of my heart..." He said in a cold tone to her, obviously that struck a chord for him.
