Hey folks - been lurking on this forum for a while and I had yet to find a roleplay that interests me, though this has certainly changed that! I tend to only get involved in roleplays I know I can be especially active in and very rarely partake in two at once etc...
I'll make a character sheet for the lord of House Hyland/patriarch of the family and should have it up some time late tonight/early morning. I'm in the UK for timezones, if that helps! I'll read over the childrens sheets once more to make sure I'm absolutely familiar with the family before getting into the nitty-gritty of my character. If anybody else creates a contending character for the role and are chosen, I'll happily make a member of either family as well!
A small preview of the character - my thinking was to make a father figure who's deeply-rooted sense of service to the crown can occasionally lead to conflicts with his children, consistently trying to preach the value of loyalty and a notion of 'place in the world.' I'm thinking this will be inspired by events in his past in which his ambition led nearly to his own destruction, with these experiences having humbled him somewhat. That in mind, should he kick the bucket, it'd lead to a very interesting transition from a somewhat restrained House Hyland to the uncontrolled ambition of his children!
