Bio

My name, as you may have noticed, is Sven. The last part of my username is a historical reference to an important person in Dutch history, William the Silent to be specific, an important leader during the Dutch revolt. If this didn't tell you already, I love history. I eat, breath and sleep history. Anything involving a historically correct setting will most likely draw my interest, whether it is during the first or perhaps the second World War, the colonial age, or even the the ancient times during the Roman Empire.

Now to sum this up to an easy and bite sized piece of information, I will most likely be down for the following scenarios or genres in terms of roleplay:

- Apocalyptic settings, whether that be Zombie or natural disasters. (Both post-apocalyptic and during the apocalypse itself.)
- Roleplays during the first or the second World War are things I enjoy immensly and that is something i'm very knowledgeable on as well.
- Ancient Rome, love it. If you have anything to do with that or possibly with things like that such as the Greek city states, I will most likely be interested.
- Videogames, roleplays based on video games such as the Metro or the Fallout series are things I can also enjoy.

Yea, I was thinking it was around 900-1000.

Doesn't mean its less fun though, we're still accepting participants. So i'm going to quote Nike and say ''Just do it!''
I feel like I want to make a super-militant Tibet. Just to screw History.

Edit: Sorry, I must have misread something and thought this was set a good thousand years before it is.

We're at the very start of the Warlord Era in China at the moment, the year 1911 to be exact. You're welcome to join, if you find a province you would like to portray then I can supply you with population data and armament information if you would like.
I feel as though we need to attract more people.
Did anyone watch Eurovision last night? The Russian announcer killed it, best Eurovision joke ever.

''12 points from Russia go too... Russia!''
@Rare Both the charts you provided are 100 years past date and have included several major events such as the civil war and the Sino-Japanees wars. The situation before this could have been very different. However, the eastern territories have always been the most populated because of their historical access to water. The West doesn't have that and living there is thus more difficult.
@Rare I've been doing improved research and this is what I have for 6 out of 6 provinces so far:

Provinces with my updated population estimate:
Jiangsu = 26,172,048 million.
Ningxia = 1,210,000 million.
Quangdong = 25,696,400 million. (Including Hainan island)
Qinghai = 943,000 thousand.
Jilin = 9,350,000 million.
Hainan Island = Impossible for me to do, no census has been taken since 1982 because that is when the island became its seperate province. I can only estimate it at around 3,750,000 to 4,250,000 million, for just the island. But I believe Lennon has some land from mainland China to his territory as well, which only complicates my task.
Fair enough; I've had hell trying to find accurate census data so gave up ages ago.
Also, Murtox has contacted me and has withdrawn. I'll remove him from the roster.
/edit Wait, I didn't put him on the roster... /shrug

Finding population data is quite difficult, yes. The offical records on wikipedia at the moment date back to 1953. Unfortunately for us the 1953 and the next census in 1964 are both known to be inaccurate and have been taken poorly by the Chinese government. The oldest one and actually usable census is the one that took place in 1982.

That being said, I have a population census that goes back to 1900. This is of course even more inaccuarate but it has to do. I'm also adding in some of my own mathematics whenever possible to create what I believe is a more accurate number. Though with some provinces this is not possible seeing as the data, though inaccuarate on them isn't plentyfull and in some cases doesn't go back farther then 1936 whilst our current year is 1911.
@Rare I was looking at your province sheet and I double checked your population, purely for my own curiousity. My sources put the population at 15,379,000 million in 1911. So you can increase it with another 5 million, if you would like to use my information that is. (Things do not have to be realistic after all.) I figured you might take up that offer seeing as your current population is 10,200,000 million I believe and your army and navy combined 2,900,000 million. That's currently 28,43% of your population, it would put a tremendous strain on your industry, agriculture and just about everything else. These problems normally occur when 10% of one's population is mobilised, 28,43% takes it to a whole new level.

Anyways, to cut my rambling short. Having the confirmed 15,379,000 million population decreased that 28,43% population mobilised to roughly 18,86% and decreases its effects on your province accordingly. :)

Edit: I have found additional information and I will be updating the population of the the provinces currently used by everyone.

Provinces with my updated population estimate:
Jiangsu = 26,172,048 million.
Ningxia = 1,210,000 million.
Quangdong = 25,696,400 million.
Qinghai = 943,000 thousand.
Alrighty, I updated my army section with my own idea. I have not included indvidual army units as of yet, but i've given some details in the organisation section as to the whereabouts of the ''good'' and ''bad'' equipment.
Sven, enough.
