I have years of roleplay experience spread over various sites. I was here before the big wipe happened and enjoyed the community. I've come back after several years to rekindle my love for writing and roleplay. I can and will play most most genders, however I prefer my main character to be NB or a man.
I also have experience in D&D as a DM and so have experience creating settings, plots, and diverse characters.
I am also trying to get back into RP. I haven't done forum RP in years though I am a D&D DM and so I have experience in crafting plots and settings.
I don't have any plots or themes in particular rattling around in my head at the moment, however like you, I do have various characters and I prefer medieval fantasy/high fantasy. Maybe we could throw a couple of our characters into a jointly made setting and plan around that?
Hey all, I'm Sylvaky and I am interested in a Roleplay partner that will stay with me for an extended amount of time.
I only ask a few things.
Literacy. - Spell-check catches a lot, but try to avoid run on sentences. Post more than one sentence. I try to aim for two or three meaty paragraphs.
Contribute. - Keep the ideas flowing! If things start to slow down, toss an idea or two around with me so we can pump some life into the story. It's up to both of us to keep things going.
Communicate. - If you're losing interest, don't be afraid to tell me. I understand, it happens. We can rework things, think of a new Roleplay, or go our separate ways.
Be Understanding. - I sometimes go a week without a reply because of work and other obligations. If I seemingly disappear for a few days shoot me a PM and I'll hop right back into it!
Romance. - Romance is fun but not required. I will not do anything 18+ unless we discuss it thoroughly via PM. Don't count on it though.
Fun. - Have fun. That is the point of Roleplaying after all! Like I've previously stated, we can rework things if it gets dull.
One more thing. I rarely play Canon characters as I know I cannot play their personality well enough to do them justice. If you can, by all means I invite you to play as many Canons as you want! Keep in mind I often double with characters. I would hope you would be willing to as well but I know not everyone likes to.
-What if Anakin was never trained and Qui Gon accepted Yoda's suggestion not to train him? A new jedi would need to arise to fufill the prophecy. OC X OC -Luke dies years after starting a new Jedi Academy but with the Dark Side gaining power in newer students, the academy falls into chaos as everyone fights for their lives. OC X OC -Random time and place, make up the story as we go. OC X OC
Anthro - I have no idea why anthropomorphic characters are so fun to play, but they are. I do not have any specific plots for Anthro but I do prefer to stay within a sword and sorcery setting.
Mass Effect - I've never had a chance to do this one, I think it could be fun!
-The Reapers are gone and the Galaxy is in disarray. Quarians and Geth are working together to re-power and repair the mass relays. On their way, they find a new and seemingly more powerful enemy. OC X OC
Avatar the last Airbender/Legend of Korra
I will keep this updated with new ideas as I come up with them, however that does not mean I am not open for suggestions. Throw some ideas at me and let's get something started!
Full Name
Theshinacorteyin 'Gryndrr
Nickname(s)
Thea, seeing as her name is difficult for humans to pronounce
Gender
Female
Age
165 (Roughly 16-17 in human years)
Year
Third Year
Birthday
September 6th
Astrological Sign
Virgo
Species
Water Draconian. Half human and half dragon born within the water tribe.
Class
Monster Hunter. Just as the name suggests, a Hunter will pursue any monster if the price is right. Though not as specialized as a slayer, many will turn to Monster Hunters to exterminate local creatures. With a wide variety of weapon types, those that call themselves Hunters are often adept in the use of multiple armaments. Monster Hunters have no unified code and instead are held to their own personal mantras. When large creatures are too much for one hunter a call goes out to unify others in the same area.
Weapon
Taught in many types of weapons, Thea is by far the most skilled in the art of the insect glaive. A single edged blade attached to a pole is accompanied with an insect companion. While one end of the glaive can cut and pierce, the other has pheromones that can be shot toward (with the aid of magic) toward an enemy or creature. The insect is able to follow these pheromones and will extract essence from the target and return to the user and enhance their abilities depending on the essence that was gathered. The insect is also able to track targets coated with pheromones across medium distances.
World

Biography
Born and raised in the Water Draconian Tribe, Thea always wanted to accomplish great things. Still barely a hatchling she was swinging around sticks and fighting imaginary battles. Though her parents were less than enthused to have such a daring daughter, they supported her wishes and eventual apprenticeship. She was roughly 30, she was taken as an apprentice to an obscure Monster Hunter. She trained for many years and only allowed to fight smaller creatures and complete mundane quests. When her chance finally came to slay a beast of great size, she failed. It was a large blow to her pride and fortunately she persevered. It was not long before she made a name for herself and her master. When the letter came with the opportunity to attend the Academy of the Arcane Arts, she felt it was a chance to enhance her own power and standing.
Personality
Thea comes across as overconfident and prideful. She thinks highly of herself and her abilities and not without reason. She will nearly never back down from a challenge and enjoys instigating challenges whether that be racing to class, flying the highest, or eating fastest. It no one accepts her small challenges, Thea can get snippy and will take it out on those in the immediate area.
Partner
Currently Undecided
Fear(s)/Weakness(es)/Limit(s)
Like many Water Tribe Draconians, Thea is weakened by lightning magic. Her own inherent magic amplifies lightning and it has the potential to down her in an instant. Quick thinking is the only real way to survive a lightning based attack. Fire and dry heat makes Thea extremely nervous. Though she can conjure up water to put out fire, it does weaken her own abilities.
Skills/Abilities/Traits
Being a Monster Hunter sometimes requires the use of many types of weapons. Thea is practiced enough to use much of what is at her disposal. Her magic is water and ice based. She does not have as much control over her magic as she would like but she is powerful enough to look after herself. She is most skilled in the use of her insect glaive and coupled with magic, she is a formidable foe.
Theme Song
I Burn by Jeff and Casey Lee Williams
Other
Thea's insect partner is more of a pet to the Draconian and as such as named it Keili
I'm interested, Brodz.
I read through the first couple pages...jerk move on Iz's part.
If you wanted to have both traditional (sword&magic) along with mechs and such, it wouldn't be too much of a problem. For example, Star Wars brought both together quite nicely.
It's entirely possible to have it in a future-esque setting but with mage type and warrior type classes. I'm thinking implants perhaps that allow people to do 'otherworldly' things for mages and large Final Fantasy type swords and tech for warriors. That would leave something like mechanic/pilot for controlling mechs (thought I doubt they would be larger than say a transport truck) as well as medic and some sort of combo classes.
Just an idea
