Hum hum hum hmmmmm! So many amazing posts! So many awesome directions to go!

Spook, the felidrakes, the statues, the bells, the garlands, Meryn's and Lux's injuries (keeping Emma's hands full, no doubt!), Telio's drawing, Amelia's determination, Fiammetta's loud mouth, the magic circle in the road . . .

Perhaps all of the above. Perhaps tomorrow.

By the way, when all this is done we will have rounded up all of the felidrakes. This is one litter of kits, and Spook's goal is to get every single one. We're just gonna ignore the existence of any that end up unaccounted for. ;D

You used a very interesting word in this post, but I think I'll keep my suspicions to myself...
Behold... the power of ART!
TEAM RUTABAGA

Telio held the open cage with both hands; a felidrake returned his intense gaze with an aloof look of sheer apathy. A leaf fell from a tree, fluttering to the ground as the two rivals stared each other down. Down, down the leaf fell. Telio ignored the drop of sweat dripping from his brow. Closer and closer to the earth it fell. Telio's fingers danced over the bars of the cage, but it wasn't time to strike... until... NOW! Telio pounced just as the leaf hit the ground, but the felidrake poofed away before the iron could close around him.

Telio felt something on his head again. A furry, fanged face drifted down into his field of vision and let out the laziest "meow" he had ever heard. "Is my head really that comfortable?" he asked, and the felidrake responded by digging its claws into him, fluffing his hair, and curling up into a ball. Telio let out a sigh. By the time he caught one, he would have no time to draw! Then, he got a devious, brilliant idea. He saw the way they played with one another and vied for dominance atop those little statues. Perhaps he could kill two birds, or felidrakes, with one stone.

He immediately pulled out his art supplies, ignoring the felidrake that was purring on his head. He had stared at the thing long enough to get a good mental image. He knew the size it ought to be, the color, the texture, and those brilliant feline eyes. He put extra effort into those eyes. For all the time that he spent on that drawing, he was certain that he wouldn't be the first to catch one of the creatures -- he wasn't even sure if this would let him catch one -- but at least he would have something to show for it. When he was finished, a perfect felidrake was staring right back at him.

A sly grin on his face, Telio slipped the picture into the back of the cage and did his best felidrake impression to wake the critter on his head. It opened one eye, and then the other, and then it was standing upright on Telio's head when it saw the picture. It hissed at first, but when it's rival showed no response it popped to the ground, tentatively pawing at the cage. It had never seen a felidrake so still before, nor one with such an unwavering gaze. With a gentle boot, Telio nudged the felidrake into the cage, closed the door, and reclaimed his picture through the bars of the cage. The felidrake frantically tried to teleport out of the cage, but Telio just lifted it up, looked it dead in the eyes, and said, "My head is not a bed."
When Ryozan dashed forward, he saw his opponent begin to move; it was clear that he was going to dodge, yet the kitsune did not change his trajectory. His eyes showed not an inkling of shock, not the slightest hint of worry that his opponent would not be where he aimed his attack. It was Mr. Sunshine's over-eagerness to counter that lost him a potential opening, for he dodged while Ryozan dashed, not when he would have attacked. He right hand would thus never extend to deliver the blow. Then, when Ryozan saw the crackle of lightening around Mr. Sunshine's arm, a grin crossed his face. Mr. Sunshine had learned that ki could make ice, now he would learn the properties of ice.

Many people consider water a good conductor of electricity, however, it is not the water itself, but the ions dissolved within it that are capable of carrying an electrical current. When water freezes, it forms a crystalline lattice, which does not allow ions to float freely within it. Thus, ice is no conductor at all; in fact, it is a rather good insulator. So, with Ryozan's left arm already in a defensive position, there was little for him to fear from the rail bolt.

Ryozan halted his forward dash at the moment of impact. His feet dug into the ground while he adjusted the angle of his left arm to intercept the rail bolt. The lightening struck the ice gauntlet, and likely would have completely shattered it if Mr. Sunshine hadn't given Ryozan time to infuse it with his ki. His leg muscles rippled in beautiful synchronization as he pivoted on his left foot, simultaneously facing his opponent and using the centrifugal force of the motion to neutralize the force of the blow, allowing Ryozan's left hand to block the attack without creating an opening via a parrying motion.

Ryozan's right arm was still drawn back and ready to strike, and there was still more use he could make of his twisting motion. As he was blocking the rail bolt, he delivered a cross counter of sorts, ki style. Of course, since Mr. Sunshine had sidestepped, he was out of range for physical contact, but surging forth from Ryozan's fist was a powerful gale of arctic wind. The gust was brief, so it would not be enough to freeze Mr. Sunshine's flesh in one attack, but he would certainly feel the frigid bite if it connected. He would also feel the force of the 50mph gust, and any of the dozen or so shards of ice that were hurled in his general direction.
@EmptyArmor sure, go ahead.
@EmptyArmor Two days is fine. What kind of arena do you want?
@Takashi

Sounds good. Off the bat, I'm interested in starting a fight between my knight and your dragon. There looks like a bit of a power gap though; knowing your character, think it could go either way? I think it could be a really cool fight, if it shakes out more or less even.

In the meantime, I'm working on two more sheets, they should be up by the end of tomorrow.

Your knight actually seems surprisingly well equipped to take on Talon. He's fully armored with future-gear that can withstand both fire and acid; I'd say it can be resistant to Talon's magma as well. For the sake of fairness I'll limit Talon's flying to a mode of movement only so that he can't just hover out of reach spamming attacks. Daniel's riot shield seems more or less impregnable. I'd say it would be able to block "channeling the hatred," and that Daniel's armor can block the physical effects, but not the mental or spiritual effects. I also think that Talon would win out in direct contests of brute strength, but other than that they seem pretty even. Is there anything in particular that you think imbalances the fight?
@EmptyArmorI've got room for another. My characters are linked in my sig. Let me know if you like any of them.
Todays Daily Dose of Awesome is a question: What did you accomplish when you were 3?
Ryozan took full advantage of the time Mr. Sunshine gave him in backing away by sheathing his sword, and then brought both of his ice-armored hands up in a combative pose. He lead with his right arm, the hand opened, the fingers only slightly curled. His right hand was pulled back closer to his chest in a tight fist. Also, with that time, he poured his ki into his ice gauntlets, making them as strong as steel armor, the blades protruding from them as sharp and sturdy as his katana. Before the ki infusion, a blade as strong as the crystal saber would have been able to chip away at the ice, but now Ryozan was prepared to stand up to his opponent's weapon and electrifying ability.

"Ki can manifest as anything," Ryozan said, indulging in some uncharacteristic conversation as he advanced towards his opponent. "Northern kitsune have a natural affinity for ice, so that is the element of our choice." He approached Mr. Sunshine in a circular pattern, spiraling in, trying to gradually close the distance between them while staying out of the range of the saber. By neutralizing his blade, Mr. Sunshine had earned a significant reach advantage which was coupled by his already impressive stature. Ryozan was fortunate that he had the advantage in terms of quantity of weapons.

When he got as close as he could, he dashed forward with another gale step, punching with the blade on his right hand and aiming at Mr. Sunshine's left thigh. This strike would be far too low to parry considering their height difference, and Ryozan had his left hand angled in front of him, prepared to defend against any counter attacks. If his strike connected, he would hook his right hand inward to leave as large a gash in Mr. Sunshine's leg as he could, otherwise he would wait for his opponent's response.
