Fab, when it comes to portraying a character believably, you might be the best this site has.

There's no need to build a labyrinth when the entire universe is one.

Bio

Well, this was my account. Had my fair share of memories of the guild, both good and bad. I hope you all have a great time here and keep getting better at RPing and writing. Myself, I've fallen out of love with roleplaying in general, and this site in particular. There's still good people here, but I've learned enough and seen enough that I'm not confident this site is going good places. Tanderbolt's moving on. Where am I going after this? I don't know, but to quote Raymond Carver, "I'm always learning something. Learning never ends.". Good night, ladies, good night

Don't worry about being MIA, that's a lot for anyone to deal with.

"Isn't catch wrestling like BJJ except with weird names for all the moves and everyone is bad off their back?" He paused for a moment and said "I'm joking. It's cool stuff, a lot of good fighters have come from a catch background, which is impressive when think about how rare it is compared with arts like Judo or Muay Thai. You're right that there's some shading Jiu Jitsu guys out there, but a lot of the top guys open up gyms in America after making a name for themselves in Brazil. I'd be interested in that MMA event at the end of month, I could use a few extra bucks, even if it's only to show up and get knocked out." While talking, he looked at the man hitting the heavy bag. He was small, but had good power. Jorge didn't know much, but he could tell that this man had a unique style, hitting the bag with cleanly with techniques most kickboxers struggled with.

"Cool, wrestling is very effective. I'm from Brazil, we don't have good wrestlers there, but it seems like they grow in cornfields in America. This place seems friendly." He said with a thick Brazilian accent. Jorge had heard the name Billy Robinson somewhere, but he couldn't remember where.

Jorge saw that they had finished grappling for now, moving on to the heavy bags. He used this opportunity to introduce himself to everyone. "Hello, I'm Jorge. I'm new to the area and was looking for a marital arts gym, and thought this place looked good. I've got some experience with Jiu-Jitsu, but almost none with striking."
Well, If royalty and villains are what counts as PCs, Ilya's an NPC, but I'd like to play him. Sorry if that doesn't make much sense.

Jorge got off the bus, and walked down the street. He looked up at the sign outside, and checked the scrap of paper he had written down the name on. This was the place he had looked up. He watched through the windows for a little bit before walking in. The place wasn't fancy, but it was decent enough by Jorge's standards. He John demonstrating some basic grappling to the other students. He waited until there was a pause to walk up and introduce himself.
A hero (He ends up becoming a monk, so no love interest is needed)

Appearance:
Name: Igor Pechorsky Real Name: Ilya Muromets
Age: 43
Personality: Generous, smart, caring, brave, stoic, stubborn, quick to anger.
Life before Earth: Ilya born into a humble peasent family. A childhood disease rendered him unable to walk for years, but he still kept up his spirits. He was healed when a dying knight, Svatogor, gave him his strength. Ilya vowed to use his newfound abilities for good, and defended the weak throughout the land. He fought valiantly alongside his fellow heroes, but they could not stop the villains from winning. Even though he was not the most experienced hero, the rulers trusted him. Ilya helped smuggle the children out of the fairy tail realm, and into the real world. He was entrusted with the seven league boots, which allow the wearer to teleport.
Life on Earth: Now named Igor Pechorsky, Ilya settled in Russia for while he waited for the children to grow up. He joined the army, serving for several years, but grew tired of fighting. Now, he works as a farmer like his parents, enjoys reading in his spare time, and waits for the day when it will be time to reopen the portal to the old realm.

Never mind the character that was here (Medea)

Name: Jorge Almeida
Age: 23
Experience: Been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu regularly since his early teens. Recently has began learning basic boxing.
Gender: Male
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: Walks around at 167, can cut don to 155
short background: Born in Brazil, his father was from America while his mother was Brazilian. His parents divorced when he was young, leaving his mother to raise him. He grew up in poverty, but still worked hard. He always liked sports, but preferred individual ones to team sports, and was fascinated by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Eventually, he found BJJ gym where the owner took pity on him, allowing him work part time as a janitor instead of having to pay for lessons. He worked hard, and became one of the best students in the gym over the years. After finishing school and working menial jobs for a few years while training on the side, he began to grow restless. He hadn't heard from his father in years, and wanted to reunite with him. He saved up his money, and bought a one-way ticket to the US. For now, he is staying at the local YMCA and working odd jobs to make ends meet. In his spare time, he attends some of the boxing classes to round out his skillset.

I promise I won't flake this time.
Are we allowed to make non-royal characters?
Sounds cool.
