@Inertia Accepted.
And, with that said, I've come to a conclusion. Unfortunately, @RichardRules, your character has been denied, for the reasons I mentioned in my previous post.

Please, don't be discouraged (as you seem new to the site). I'd hate to be the cause of somebody leaving the guild, over something as silly as me being picky about my players.
Well, it looks like we're all set and ready to go. Once the accepted characters have been posting in the Characters tab, I'll get the IC rolling and we can see how this goes.
@Katakon Accepted!
@Paradox Witch Accepted!

Welcome to the roleplay, you two!

@RichardRules I'd like to not be rude, where I can avoid it, but I feel like your character doesn't bring exactly what I'm looking for to the roleplay. That said, I see no particular issue with him outside of this, and so I am willing to accept him.

I'll get back to you on this matter after I give it some thought.
With this, we have enough players to start the roleplay. I might accept one more person, if I like their character, but it should no longer be considered to be a free acceptance.
I have a question for the GM-chan-senpai.

Why is this being set in communist territory? What if communism is my character's trigger fear?

It's not in Vancouver, it's in Not!Vancouver.
And for now Dante awaits alone in the pews of the church for somebody to arrive. Just trying to strike up some conversation here. So, what do y'all think of the pairings? I find it amusing the Zolgen and I got each other's characters paired together.

Did you notice that the same can be said for myself and Greengoat?

How ultimately droll.
Plain
Abandoned Apartment, Downtown
Plain gives a satisfied smile after Lancer's well-mannered response, although her smile fades slightly when he comes to ask her for instruction. To be honest, she hardly knew sort of orders she might need to give in order to win this "Holy Grail War", but she knew enough that she would not like it. Regardless, this was her purpose. It was all she knew, besides the simple, emotionless instruction to "Wait" she had received shortly upon waking.

"Well," she starts plainly. "For starters, I suppose we must hurry along to meet with the Supervisors of this little ritual. I would have you escort me there, Servant Lancer~"

She finishes her instructions with a flourish and a smile, and while her tone is plain and unexcited, the look of her smile seems to say that she was looking forward to this. She didn't know what she might encounter at the location in her mind, but she knew it would probably be interesting. More interesting, she hazards to assume, even than what has already happened.

The mere thought of this possibility set her figurative heart aflutter, and the War was only just starting. Certainly, there would be plenty more adventures in store for her yet. And, with Mister Cu at her side, too.

That might be the most exciting part of all.

Archer
Church on the Hill, Interior
Her Master got straight to the point. Archer liked that. So, the two of them start walking, headed wherever Marie thought to lead the two of them, and they began to discuss basic strategies for the coming battle.

"I understand that you are being sheltered by the Church, but will this place truly serve as our base of operations? Is this land not Neutral territory during the War?"

This was an obvious contradiction. If the Church was neutral territory, then it would hardly be fair to the other combatants for one of the Master-Servant pairings to be sheltered here. Of course, this served as a definite advantage to the two of them, but this inquiry also led to the most important question in all of this.

Continuing, Archer points out what she's been thinking from the start.

"Girl, you do intend on winning the Grail War, do you not? I did not ask you in the presence of your superiors, for various reasons, but now that we are alone, would you tell me your wish? I can hardly swear my sword to a Master who will not communicate their intentions."

Archer's expression was piercing, and without a single trace of hesitation. All that could be seen was a strict, critical process of thought, an analysis of her Master's thoughts and intentions through her facial features and tone of voice.

It was like an interrogation. Definitely not Archer's style, but something like this was necessary to get out of the way at the start, lest it cause problems for the two of them further down the line. It would also serve to help Archer get a better idea of her Master's character, separated from the influence of those men in the Chapel.

Archer intended on winning this War, regardless of her Master's intentions. If she had no desire for the Grail, so be it.

She had her own reasons to seek that bloody, ill-natured chalice.
@corrosive Accepted. If you're going to actually play, you can move your sheet to the Characters tab.
@Katakon I feel like "Hacking" kind of comes out of nowhere. It doesn't seem to fit her past or personality all that much.

What did she take in College?
So far, I don't dislike the direction our cast is going. (Although I'm bothered by the lack of fancy formatting, I'll probably survive.)

I feel like I'm sort of repeating myself here, but seriously, if anyone has any questions, it's be nice to answer them now. It'll be a lot easier than answering them once we've started.
Huh, well I just posted an OOC but it disappeared. wtf.

I mean, there is a reason why, literally an inch away from the input field, there is very obvious text that says "Please save your shit before you post it."
What's this? An OOC in my thread? Preposterous.

The definition of "Fear" varies from person to person.

For some people, it's insects. For others, it might be animals, or heights.

And for many, it's the Dark.

Ever since the dawn of man, all human advancement has been derived from a single, all-important invention. Fire. Light. The power to drive away the dark. Since then, mankind has travelled far, invented things the old era could never even dream of, and even coming as far as to touch the stars.

However, they have never forgotten their most powerful, and ancient fear.

They remember the dark.

And it remembers them.

Thank you for tagging along for my (not) long-anticipated Survival/Horror adventure! With our pretentious, silly opening blurbs out of the way, I'm sure you're wondering,
"What exactly is this roleplay even about?"

Well, great of you to ask! This is a game of sorts, a survival experience built around the core concepts of fear, darkness and the supernatural. Of course, you won't be throwing fire-blasts or tossing lightning-bolts, but you'll certainly be delving into subjects existing on the borderline between Reality and Fantasy. You'll definitely see plenty of spooky things on your journey, and even experience them first-hand, if you're unlucky.

Who knows, you might even spot a skeletman or two. (Probably not.)

For any more questions you might have, I've made this cute little section below that might explain most of what you're confused about. If there's more you need, you can feel free to ask me about anything you might be worried or wondering about. I can't promise that I'll give a definite answer, but I can promise that I will answer, if that makes any sense.

I just like answering questions, even if those answers are vague, non-detailed or otherwise completely unhelpful.

Rules & Notes
  • Standard roleplaying rules apply. (i.e. No Metagaming, Godmodding, Auto-hitting.)
  • No being a bully OOC.
  • This roleplay is set in a fictional copy of Vancouver, Canada. It's basically Vancouver, but I may alter or add locations for the sake of convenience. Your characters do not have to be Canadian, but they have to be in Vancouver somehow at the point of the roleplay's start.
  • Character limit of 1 per player.
  • During the course of the roleplay, you may privately be given information that the other characters might not have. You are free to explain this information In-Character, but you will be scolded if you just straight up post it in the OOC. See "No Metagaming" above for further emphasis.
  • Characters may be aged in whatever fashion you deem appropriate. However, there will be penalties enforced depending on age, regardless of which age you choose. I do ask that you make characters at least with the level of development required to walk and talk, as otherwise we would have quite a troublesome experience integrating your character with the plot.
  • If you're going to be gone, tell me. If you're gone for too long, especially if you've left people waiting for you to post, you may be killed horribly, suddenly and gruesomely by me with no notice. I will be lenient with this most of the time, but repeat offenders obviously run a higher risk.
  • The GM's word is law. Of course, you're free to dispute the law, just know that I will probably excessive this privilege if you ever start causing trouble.
  • You are not a wizard, a ghost, a powerful half-demon ninja assassin or Gilsuke Uchimesh.

And, with this, I offer to you our Character Skeleton. It's quite a spooky skeleton, but it's mine, so you're not allowed to bully it~
I have to ask the most obvious question.
Will this by any chance involve entities that are nameless, formless, and faceless?

Yes.

What's the rules on the mystery solving? What kind of mysteries will there be?

The mysteries have to be solved in English.
