History: Born on the Fal'Shia sept, T'sam Vral was fortunate enough to be a scion of the Ethereal caste, leaders of the Tau race as a whole and generally respected and guarded by each of the member Castes of the Tau Empire. Raised amongst the other children of the Ethereal cast, T'sam was taught the various methods and intricate methods of leading and uniting the various and disparate Castes of the Tau Empire. From leading Fire Caste Cadres into battle as a powerful influence, to the diplomacy and value of construction from Water and Earth castes, and even the means of communicating and various flight operations that the Air caste would engage in. All part of the training and upbringing necessary to lead any Tau, or allied alien race, in the name of the Greater good.
Once she came of age, T'sam Vral was assigned the first rank of Ethereal, Aun'la, and was sent on various missions and tasks that would free up more vital, and experienced, Ethereals from their various postings throughout the Empire. While much of the work was indeed menial, the young Ethereal served with distinction and nobility, and soon came to the attention of a far more seasoned Aun'el. Under their additional tutelage, she gained ground rapidly and when the time came to absorb more planets, both her and her mentor were assigned. T'sam Vral would operate in the field, freeing and protecting the more experienced Ethereal to remain on the ship and control, and guide, operations between all Tau Empire forces present in the campaign, alongside the Shas'O himself.
Ultima Segementum, Oracle Sector, Planets Alturas 1, and Alturas 2, 900.M41
It was decided that this would be the next expansion for the Tau Empire, that the planets here would be a good choice to incorporate into their ever growing territory. Though these territories were already inhabited by the Imperium, and any diplomatic efforts were pushed back and the emissaries executed. This of course was not well met by the Castes of the Tau Empire, who immediately began mobilize forces to take the planets by force. If they would not join the Empire willingly they would force them into submission or flatten them completely. The Fal’Shia sept was chosen for this task given their tendency to have some of the more advanced war gear, and considering that the Empire would be up against a Forge World in this system they chose to have as many advantages as possible. This force would be lead by Shas’o Fal’Shia Kais Aloh Var, a fairly new Commander within the Fire Caste, but a rising star who they believed would perform extremely well. He set his sights on Alturas 2 seeing it as the most Strategic target. Removing the Agri world’s supplies would slowly starve the Forge World’s protectors. So their ships set off and the invasion of Alturas 2 prepared to begin.
OOC
So this RP is set in the Warhammer 40k Universe, specifically within the Tau faction. Now there will be plenty of races to play though more specifically three that will not need GM approval to play as. I will pop in the races in a little later. You will be playing as a member of the Tau expedition force invading the Oracle Sector and as such the invading force for Alturas 2 and 1. This roleplay can contain violence, oppressive acts, romance, drama, and death. If you can’t stomach some of the more gratuitous violence then this probably isn’t for you.
Races
The Tau are a young race of technologically-oriented beings from the Eastern Fringe and the dominant species of the Tau Empire. T'au, the Tau home planet, was discovered in 789.M35 by the Adeptus Mechanicus Explorator Fleet ship Land's Vision. Adeptus Mechanicus records indicate that at that time, the Tau species had mastered the use of simple tools and weapons, as well as fire. Before the planet could be cleansed and colonized by the Imperium, however, a violent Warp-storm erupted around the planet. This continued for 6,000 years, making the Tau's homeworld utterly inaccessible. It was not until the Damocles Crusade that the Imperium again contacted the Tau. The Imperium found the primitive Tau had advanced considerably. In six thousand years, the Tau had advanced from spears and fire to colonizing planets and Pulse Rifles.
The Kroot originated on the world of Pech and, though their physiology is humanoid, there is evidence to suggest that the roots of their evolution may be avian in origin. They retain vestigial beaks and have a light, almost hollow bone structure, with four digits on each hand and foot. Their skin is rough with small, barbed spines, similar to the elongated quills on their heads, protruding from various locations on their flesh. Skin pigmentation ranges from earthy brown colours and dappled greens to vibrant oranges and everything in between. Depending on the feeding directions of the Kroot Shapers, the colouration of each kindred can vary quite considerably. It is also common for Kroot from each kindred to have particular tribal markings painted onto their skin. Kroot mature quickly, with their most rapid period of growth occurring in the first ten years of their lives. By the age of twelve they are considered adults and it is not unknown for Kroot to live to over a hundred years old, their skin becoming increasingly pitted and leathery in their last few years of life.

Gue'vesa are often the descendants of Imperial Guard troops who, during the Damocles Crusade, were abandoned in Tau space and chose to join the Tau rather than face execution. For them, fate has dictated that the Imperial Cult and the rule of the Adeptus Terra be replaced by loyalty to the collectivist Tau Empire and to the ruling Ethereal caste.

As for other Races they will be up for approval only. These three main races will not require special approval
Shas'O Fal'shia Kais Aloh Var: A young up and coming Commander in the Fire Caste, though he has never taken on such a endeavor in a leadership position before it is believed that his tactical mind, and fearless nature will be a great boon in this.
Imperial Commander Bane Kojak: This man is a ruthless war veteran recently come to Alturas 1 and 2 after a small Ork Rok had made planet fall on Alturas 2. To eliminate the threat before it could begin he dropped half the regiment on the planet to eradicate it. He now sits in orbit above Alturas 1 to refuel and rearm.
Planetary Governor Maeghan Wen: She after her father has watched over Alturas 2 for eight years now, and under her watchful production of much needed food for Alturas 1 has flourished.
Forge Master Poulin Flyth: A Tech Priest with no equal on Alturas 1 he rules the planet in the name of the Cult on Mars. Through his guidance the planet has doubled their output since their last Forge Master.
