Don't mind me. I'm just trying this status thing.
Bio
All you need to know about me is this.
I'm 17. Male. Born and raised in a country which you've probably never heard of. I've been RPing since quite a while, and I'm not very proud of that. My first RP experiences were in Chatango, where I fumbled with words like a timid inmate in a prison shower. Looking back at it, my Chatango escapades were pretty cringe worthy, but then again I'll probably feel the same about my RPG escapades when I look back at them 10 years from now, in the comfort of my bayside yacht while Playboy bunnies rub my hairless chest (to be clear, I don't have a medical condition that prevents hair from coming out, but I figure I'll be rich enough to wax them in a weekly basis by then). Hell, ten seconds after I'm done with this, I'll probably regret it. Hard.
Anyway, onto my preferences.
You may find my preferences pretty specific, honestly. It's also the main reason why I have been struggling to get an RP going for several years now. Actually, just one. Just one year. But I digress. I dislike medieval fantasy settings, which, much to my dismay, make 60 percent of this guild. I dislike most fandom-related RPs. Same goes to the multiverse ones. Unless you're going with a really original take on the series, there's a chance that I won't be interested in it. I am not one for Nation RPs, although I can see the appeal. This has less to do with me not liking it, and more with me being inept at managing a country. If, by any chance, you've got a modern conspiracy RP or anything where the government (or a powerful organization of the likes) is wrecking havoc, I'm in. I know what you might be thinking; "This guy's a fucking weirdo". Yeah, well there's a likelihood that you've been in this Guild more than me, so who the fuck are you to judge? I just like modern military RPs. My book shelf is filled with Tom Clancy novels, Robert Ludlum, Mr. Ian Motherfucking Fleming, the man who started it all - I'm addicted to this shit. I don't mind it if there's a slight blend of fantasy/sci-fi in it, if you've got an RP which matches what I just described, feel free to PM me with a link. Mystery also happens to be my cup of tea.
I've also been trying to broaden my horizon recently, so I have no problem with joining RPs which up until yesterday I considered out of my safe zone. I've always been a fan of superhero/superpower RPs, as long as they're gritty and grounded. Slice of life, romance - turns out I actually enjoy that stuff. They allow me to let loose my inner teenager. I'm currently in a zombie RP which hasn't started yet, so while there's no telling how much I'll enjoy it, I can, again, see the appeal. I can adjust myself to playing a plethora of different male characters; psychos, cowards, badasses, et cetera, but I can't play women for some reason. Before someone labels me a sexist, trust me, it's not because of that.
So, this is me. Again, if you have any RP that you think I might like, throw it in. I'll take a look. No promises.
Personality: Noisy, idealistic and cheerful are the words used most commonly to describe Ethan. His past attempts at being the center of attention resulted in him being viewed as obnoxious and off-putting, which is why he doesn't have any friends. He possesses a lightning quick wit and the potential to be a world-class genius, but instead chooses to waste it in pointless trivia and news that don't serve him any good. He is a trainwreck, and he acknowledges it by using self-deprecating humor. Long story short, he uses humor to cope with - well, everything. All the good stuff aside though, Ethan is also seen rarely seen descending into bouts of mania. These short periods of intensified activity show up as a result of a traumatic event in his past.
Another thing of note; Ethan can't tell the difference between dead people and sleeping people.
Standing at 5.9 and weighing at about 125 pounds, Ethan is a rather skinny boy. He is usually seen sporting a green military jacket with either a jumper underneath or time to time, a shirt. Slim fit jeans are his fashion choice that cover the lower part of his body. Even though his clothes change to adapt to the weather, he favors dark colors over bright ones.
Hobbies: Ethan is not much of a fan of outdoor activities, so obviously having said that, his main hobbies are videogames and movies. He is that invested in his movies that he even quotes some of them. He is also very fascinated with the weird part of History, like all the Conspiracy theories and the strange unsolved murders. All his hobbies have an influence in his world-building ability when disconnected.
How about 'Nagual' or 'Nahual'? It's a general name given to human beings who can shapeshift into animals and is associated with Mesoamerican folklore. I could go with something cheesy like 'Beastgirl', 'Shifter' and what not, but I think they're too campy for an RP such as this.
Also, @MiddleEarthRoze, I think when Potato used buildings and regional areas to scale powers, I think he was talking about powers with a destructive nature. Manipulating emotions is definitely an A rank power, albeit one that doesn't fall under the category of destructive powers.
The coagulated blood in Alec's ears filtered some of Elijah's many attempts at throwing him off balance. Although he would never admit it to him, the mind game he was playing was affecting him in a way. The fire meta was looking to dig out information on Alec's emotional status, and Alec knew that, which is why as soon as Nightingale responded to his first question he tapped out of Cerebro. He didn't want the wisecracking hillbilly to think he was that cautious around him, in spite of the fact that there were plenty of reasons to be. His contemplation was interrupted by a couple of scratching sounds coming from above, likely from the roof. At the same time, a message was sent by the MHRC contact detailing Nightingale's backstory; the timing was purely coincidental. It seems he bribed his way into the government registry archive. He threw the message a look, holding his index finger upwards, gesturing Elijah, who asked him a barrage of questions, to have patience. About ten seconds later, he slid his phone in a little placeholder down his left thigh before moving his eyes towards the fire meta.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to be the one asking questions here," he paused his deadpan speech to pull down the mask, revealing more of his scars "but since you asked, a glass would be fine.", Alec went on. If Vesuvius wanted to play games, so be it. "Also, don't bother cooking for me. I am not staying here for much longer.", he finally finished, before shifting his sight to Nightingale.
"A child soldier you say? Who was he working for? Was he with you? I need details, Roze.", the now unmasked hero referred to the girl by her name, wanting to imply he worked for the government. He assumed she was smart enough to get the hint. In the meanwhile, the scratching roof noise was still going on. What the hell was that guy doing?
((Btw, in case the whole thing about the coagulated blood confuses you, it's a reference to an earlier post, where Alec uses Cerebro;experimental and blood bursts out of his ears as a result.))Back at Safehouse Q, Dean was watching the other metas express their disapproval at Constantine's hideout choice. While he could understand the controversy King's decision raised, he didn't mind the setting himself. Plus, the reason for choosing a whorehouse as a hideout was legitimate enough. Jenni also disapproved, but then again Jenni disapproved at everything the group did, so her attitude in this case wasn't much of a bombshell. Her incoherent babbling and critique at almost everything her brother accomplished did have the potential to get annoying after a while, but Dean was already used to it.
The FBI meta, Constantine Raphael King, or whatever his name, was already issuing orders to the rest of the metas. Dean, who was at the corner, having a quiet quarrel with his noisy sister, didn't get anything assigned. Either Constantine wanted him around, or he just forgot. Maybe he had a special assignment. Patience wasn't the young hero's forte, so he decided to ask anyway "What about me? Do I get anything?"
Well, I had two other lads in the Interest check who were willing to participate too. Either way, feel free to shoot me with a CS and I'll see if it fits the tone of the RP. If the other two don't make themselves alive by tomorrow, you'll win by default.
I really don't blame you. Basically, Eviledd's guy, Dean, ate his sister while in the womb, and due to some strange occurrence, his sister lived inside his mind, creating a duplicate personality. She's not much of a people person, and she often wants Dean to let her take over so she can kill people.
