Don't mind me. I'm just trying this status thing.
Bio
All you need to know about me is this.
I'm 17. Male. Born and raised in a country which you've probably never heard of. I've been RPing since quite a while, and I'm not very proud of that. My first RP experiences were in Chatango, where I fumbled with words like a timid inmate in a prison shower. Looking back at it, my Chatango escapades were pretty cringe worthy, but then again I'll probably feel the same about my RPG escapades when I look back at them 10 years from now, in the comfort of my bayside yacht while Playboy bunnies rub my hairless chest (to be clear, I don't have a medical condition that prevents hair from coming out, but I figure I'll be rich enough to wax them in a weekly basis by then). Hell, ten seconds after I'm done with this, I'll probably regret it. Hard.
Anyway, onto my preferences.
You may find my preferences pretty specific, honestly. It's also the main reason why I have been struggling to get an RP going for several years now. Actually, just one. Just one year. But I digress. I dislike medieval fantasy settings, which, much to my dismay, make 60 percent of this guild. I dislike most fandom-related RPs. Same goes to the multiverse ones. Unless you're going with a really original take on the series, there's a chance that I won't be interested in it. I am not one for Nation RPs, although I can see the appeal. This has less to do with me not liking it, and more with me being inept at managing a country. If, by any chance, you've got a modern conspiracy RP or anything where the government (or a powerful organization of the likes) is wrecking havoc, I'm in. I know what you might be thinking; "This guy's a fucking weirdo". Yeah, well there's a likelihood that you've been in this Guild more than me, so who the fuck are you to judge? I just like modern military RPs. My book shelf is filled with Tom Clancy novels, Robert Ludlum, Mr. Ian Motherfucking Fleming, the man who started it all - I'm addicted to this shit. I don't mind it if there's a slight blend of fantasy/sci-fi in it, if you've got an RP which matches what I just described, feel free to PM me with a link. Mystery also happens to be my cup of tea.
I've also been trying to broaden my horizon recently, so I have no problem with joining RPs which up until yesterday I considered out of my safe zone. I've always been a fan of superhero/superpower RPs, as long as they're gritty and grounded. Slice of life, romance - turns out I actually enjoy that stuff. They allow me to let loose my inner teenager. I'm currently in a zombie RP which hasn't started yet, so while there's no telling how much I'll enjoy it, I can, again, see the appeal. I can adjust myself to playing a plethora of different male characters; psychos, cowards, badasses, et cetera, but I can't play women for some reason. Before someone labels me a sexist, trust me, it's not because of that.
So, this is me. Again, if you have any RP that you think I might like, throw it in. I'll take a look. No promises.
I posted that way because I'm pissed off at how DSW basically wouldn't let me wait until things moved on from this place because I am having doubts that it will
I'm very sorry to say this to you, but you're kinda being an impatient dick. DSW had a point - you're not gonna simply appear out of nowhere when it fits you, after the RP moves out of the quicksand it's in. That's not how ti works. If you want to be part of this RP, you're gonna be part of this RP 'till the very end and refrain from pulling off a cheap ass trick that you're accustomed to. What, you think you're the only one that is in a RP that's moving slowly? My RP friend hasn't responded for an entire week, yet here I am waiting, somewhat aware that they may be busy juggling real life problems and what not. If you don't like what's happening with this RP, then I should remind you that no one's here by force, and everyone has the right to bail out if he or she likes.
Needless to say, this doesn't reflect DSW's stance on your volatile behavior - I'm not speaking on his behalf. I'm just saying that if I was the GM, I'd remove your and your elitist shit out of my RP.
Catman is supposed to board one if the vehicles WITH the team, unless you want him to run for 20 miles. I get it that you're trying to create character tension in the team, but just because Catm.an refuses to cooperate doesn't mean you have to
@Teal
Since you are the brain I will send you information every so often to help you portray that, and likewise you can ask me spoiler questions, but don't expect me to give too much away. ;)
That won't be necessary. You can throw a couple of vague hints now and then, but let me piece out the big picture. What is the point of being the group's brain if I don't get to use it?
E: Speaking of questions, I have some I want to make. For starters, what kind of tone do you want this RP to have? Is it going to be like an overall light tone with occasional dark moments? And, can a person be stripped off from the light? Like, can the light disappear in that person to the point where he wouldn't be able to use any powers? Is there gonna be a main villain?
Done. I threw the CS in the character section, but I'll spare you some seconds anyway.
Name: Aaron Hodges
Age: 17
Rank: I
Nationality: England
Weapon: A caneGear: A smart phone, which he uses to store profiles and skip to deductions based on intel gathered in field work, and a small notebook with a pen which he uses to write messages.
Appearance: Standing at 5'9, with a weight of around 130 pounds, Aaron is a rather slim fella. Mistaking his slim build for a physical shortcoming, however, is one many are bound to make. While not guaranteed to emerge as a winner, he is able to hold his own against a man twice his age and body size, without
employing the Light. His most unique traits are his natural blue hair, which somewhat match his piercing blue eyes. In terms of fashion preferences, he's not against hiding his androgynous appearance - quite the contrary actually - he pretty much advertises it, choosing a variety of clothing that some might agree are not fit for a male.
Personality: Aaron adopts most of his personality feats from his favorite fictional character, that is Sherlock Holmes. Not to say he tried to mimic his personality. It just so happened that they had a couple of things in common.
The most 'in your face' feature is probably his habit of just saying things bluntly. While that's not always intentional (considering he still doesn't have a full understanding of human emotions), he may use it deliberately sometimes in order to create a strategic opportunity. Should his behavior prove to be overwhelming to the community, then he will feel obliged to issue an apology.
Other than that, he isn't a bad person after all. He enjoys making new friends, in spite of having difficulties in doing so, and respects anyone who engages in field work, no matter what cause they're following. He is usually very clam, but may be caught having brief panic attacks in the face of danger. He is also very smart and witty, able to skip to conclusions with very little bits of information.
History: Left before the doorstep of an orphanage in Sussex when he was just three months old, Aaron soon became the adopted son of a rich conglomerate. It is unknown why he was abandoned, but there are several hints that point to his mutation - blue hair, to be more precise. His adoptive father had grown so fond of him that, by the time he reached six years old, he decided to spare him from the dangers of the outside and school him at home. He was raised spotless, never once facing danger or trying any other different sensation. However, everything would change in his 14th birthday.
It was that day, that dreadful day, that a strange winged creature broke through the manor where Aaron lived and caused a turmoil, killing his foster father in the process. Unable to comprehend what happened, Aaron, instead of following his instincts and running away, actually tried to reason with the beast. It was that pure action that awakened the light inside him and gave him enough force to fend off the beast. With the manor destroyed and his foster father dead, Aaron saw it fit to run away and enjoy the world, taking his father's cane with himself.
It took two years for his act of valor to finally be noticed, when a then 16 year old Aaron, now travelling the world as a nomad and gathering knowledge on a life he was so oblivious of, was contacted by TERA.
Hobbies: Chess, brain teasers, crosspuzzles - anything involving wit, he is up for it. He doesn't shy away from outdoor activities either, practing his Judo time to time.
Style: Support.
Abilities: He possesses the ability to animate paper, often creating a running paper airplane which he uses to deliver messages in long distances, hence why he keeps a small notebook with himself. Once he uses this ability, he develops a sort of symbiotic relationship with his creation, able to see what IT sees and feel whatever IT feels. While the range of control he has can be expanded to cover an entire nation, natural factors such as wind, rain and other lifeforms such as seagulls can intercept his messages and force him to restart all over again.

I may have went overboard with Slade's leadership role in this post, but I'm just doing this so that we can get over with the prison arc already. If only one of you is against it, I'll do a rewrite.
