Current Don't mind me. I'm just trying this status thing.

Bio

All you need to know about me is this.

I'm 17. Male. Born and raised in a country which you've probably never heard of. I've been RPing since quite a while, and I'm not very proud of that. My first RP experiences were in Chatango, where I fumbled with words like a timid inmate in a prison shower. Looking back at it, my Chatango escapades were pretty cringe worthy, but then again I'll probably feel the same about my RPG escapades when I look back at them 10 years from now, in the comfort of my bayside yacht while Playboy bunnies rub my hairless chest (to be clear, I don't have a medical condition that prevents hair from coming out, but I figure I'll be rich enough to wax them in a weekly basis by then). Hell, ten seconds after I'm done with this, I'll probably regret it. Hard.

Anyway, onto my preferences.

You may find my preferences pretty specific, honestly. It's also the main reason why I have been struggling to get an RP going for several years now. Actually, just one. Just one year. But I digress. I dislike medieval fantasy settings, which, much to my dismay, make 60 percent of this guild. I dislike most fandom-related RPs. Same goes to the multiverse ones. Unless you're going with a really original take on the series, there's a chance that I won't be interested in it. I am not one for Nation RPs, although I can see the appeal. This has less to do with me not liking it, and more with me being inept at managing a country. If, by any chance, you've got a modern conspiracy RP or anything where the government (or a powerful organization of the likes) is wrecking havoc, I'm in. I know what you might be thinking; "This guy's a fucking weirdo". Yeah, well there's a likelihood that you've been in this Guild more than me, so who the fuck are you to judge? I just like modern military RPs. My book shelf is filled with Tom Clancy novels, Robert Ludlum, Mr. Ian Motherfucking Fleming, the man who started it all - I'm addicted to this shit. I don't mind it if there's a slight blend of fantasy/sci-fi in it, if you've got an RP which matches what I just described, feel free to PM me with a link. Mystery also happens to be my cup of tea.

I've also been trying to broaden my horizon recently, so I have no problem with joining RPs which up until yesterday I considered out of my safe zone. I've always been a fan of superhero/superpower RPs, as long as they're gritty and grounded. Slice of life, romance - turns out I actually enjoy that stuff. They allow me to let loose my inner teenager. I'm currently in a zombie RP which hasn't started yet, so while there's no telling how much I'll enjoy it, I can, again, see the appeal. I can adjust myself to playing a plethora of different male characters; psychos, cowards, badasses, et cetera, but I can't play women for some reason. Before someone labels me a sexist, trust me, it's not because of that.

So, this is me. Again, if you have any RP that you think I might like, throw it in. I'll take a look. No promises.

Raymond roamed the halls at a leisurely pace, his head darting around the area as non-fighters were scampering out of what was to become a battlefield and into their dorms. Their reactions alone gave Ray a glimpse on how intense things were gonna get in the following hours. He also noticed two other guys tailing him from behind. He was told that was not uncommon. Usually the organized members, those who belonged into factions, set their eyes on loners a few minutes before the Rumble started and then easily dismantled them seconds after the gong, before advancing on to take out the big fish. Stopping his walk, Ray knelt down, pretending to tie his shoe as he targeted both of the potential assailants with the corner of his eye. They didn't stop by his side. They simply advanced forward, casually conversing with each other, leading Sakamura to believe that he was a bit too quick to judge.

The gong rang and with it so did Ray's head as one of his assailants launched a blow. Nope. He was right. They were after him. He fell down on the tiles, dazed and visibly annoyed by the large quantity of bees who had settled into his inner ear. He shook his head and did his best to get up, but a sharp pain on his stomach took him back to square one as it dawned him that the other guy had kicked him in the same manner one kicks a soccer ball.

"See, I told you this would work?", the guy on the left said to his buddy as they both stood over the overwhelmed Ray.

"Yeah, yeah, now let's finish him off. We've got work to do.", the other responded, annoyance detected in his tone. He then took a few steps towards Raymond and lifted his leg up, preparing to stomp him. That was the first time that Raymond was in the receiving end of a beatdown and as long as he was around this school, he had a feeling it wasn't gonna be his last. However, that didn't mean that he was gonna simply stand there like a deer caught in headlights. Adrenaline surged through his body as he intercepted the attacker's leg with both of his hands, and used his feet to kick his other leg, throwing him off balance as he fell face first into the floor, near Ray's shoulder. Lifting his right hand up, he elbowed him in the back of his head as blood splattered and a tile got slightly cracked. He did a kip up, a move he always wanted to try in a battle situation, but never got the chance and then lunged at the other attacker, who was actively moving away from him. Just when he thought he had him, he felt the assailant's hand gripping HIS hand and then the entire area began to spin. He could even see the ceiling for a split second before falling down on the cold floor. "Judo club, huh?", he thought, still feeling the tightening grip on his hand. He should have known from the beginning they were part of the Fighters faction. He was told that those guys had very poor impulse control.

Releasing himself from the man's grip, he turned around and elbowed him to the stomach, causing him to bend forward. He then launched a drop kick to his head and watched as he struggled to balance himself, then failed, then hit the nearby wall. For the sake of old times, he decided to stomp his head a couple of times just to make sure. Pausing to catch his breath, he looked around to see if there were any more enemies. He could hear the distant sound of yelling and fighting, but nothing near his area. Looking down on his fallen attackers, a smirk formed on his face, showing genuine pleasure for the first time in a few weeks.

"I'm back, bitches!", he quipped, his eyes all lit up with glee, before moving forward to see where the commotion was coming from.
So basically since my guy is unaffiliated, he can attack anyone?

Also will come up with a post soon.

I'm still around. I need at least one person to throw a post in before I do mine.

And every RP seems to go through this no activity phase. If handled well, you may be able to get out of it. If not, then it will die out faster than a burn victim in a BBQ party.
I'm still here, if anyone's wondering.

So, how is everyone enjoying the roleplay, so far? :3

Pretty good. I admit I've never done an RP like this before. Most of the slice-of-life RPs I've been on had a fantasy twist to them and didn't have as much of a focus on romance as this one, if at all.

Vanessa's Beach House

As his head darted around the room, Dom's sight shifted at a rattling noise that was becoming closer each second. Vanessa had actually bothered to set him up a plate, which while very nice of her, it would probably taste bitter because of the fresh mint. Regardless, he couldn't say no so he took the plate, threw a smirk and thanked her as she got back to her couch after making a comment about his fresh breath. So she had noticed. He could never notice the extra attention he got since she acted like that with almost everyone. In came Robyn, the country girl. Her behavior ticked Dom off right from the start. She didn't even acknowledge him, which isn't something she would normally do, and her body language was weirdly ominous. He did let out a smile when she mentioned fireworks, though. He enjoyed watching fireworks. As Vanessa got up again to fix Robyn a plate, Dom decided to engage the country girl in conversation. "Where did you get that firepower, Birdie? Dad's stash?", he put on a smug grin, turning just in time to catch the soft drink Vanessa tossed at him. Great. He could drown the taste of mint with a soda. As he took a sip, his face got more sour. It felt like there was an entire bee hive taking shelter in his nose. Putting his plate aside, he drank a couple of times more until he got used to the taste.

In was Candy. "Finally someone to keep me occupied.", Dominic thought, smirking to no one in particular. She began greeting everyone, although she was visibly disgusted at seeing him, which was good. A sassy Candy was what he needed to get through his awkward interactions with Vanessa. She went on to hug Robyn, but instead of breaking away almost immediately, she lingered for a while as if saying something to her ear. First Robyn, now her. Those two were definitely plotting something, and usually when Candy plotted something, Dominic was her target. He had to stand on his toes, lay off the alcohol and the weed. It was not like he was gonna get drunk/high anyway, considering he was planning to get home by the night. He couldn't leave his sister unsupervised.

"Ew, it's you. Hey loser, you actually wore something decent. Where's your holiday spirit, though?", she asked before skipping over to the garden to get herself a burger, leaving Dominic with no chance to respond. It was true, Dom was not much of a patriot. But then again no one mentioned anything about a dress code. Dominic put his plate down and then got up, speaking in a tone higher than his usual one. "No hug for me?". His attention diverted at Vanessa who, for some reason, was sitting on the floor. It seemed like she had fallen. Dom was about to move and help her get up, but she was perfectly capable of doing it on her own.

"So, I see you guys brought extra bags. Good thing I brought air mattresses and blankets for everyone.", Vanessa uttered.
"About that...", Dominic said, a hint of disappointment detected in his tone. "...I'm afraid I can't stay here until morning. Natalie's alone in the house, and she won't let me get her a babysitter. So, I'm gonna have to drive back at some point.". He really wanted to be part of the sleepover, but he couldn't. He had no time to delve into that though, as Candy had returned and was asking him to proceed. At first, he was dumbfounded. "Proceed with what?", he thought for a second before his brain was able to recall her earlier statement about the holiday spirit. Letting out a snicker, he quipped back. "Sorry. I left my patriotism viagra pills at home.", he moved a few confident steps towards her. "You, on the other hand. Wow. How many American flags did you and your posse violate just so that you could tailor yourself this outfit?", he eyed her clothes, circling around her like a kindergarten kid playing a game of 'Doggy, Doggy, where's your bone'. He then decided to sit back on his place, near Seamus and grab onto his plate. He took a bite off the burger. It was just as good as it smelled. And his taste of fresh mint had already left, so 'yay!' to that.

From then on, Dom remained in a seated position. In came John who decided to sit near Dom and Seamus. Dominic actually moved a little bit to the left so that John could take the middle. He disliked being the guy in the middle. "Yo Dom, how have you been?", John said.
"I've been good bud. How have YOU been?", Dominic responded, his English not as comprehensible as before due to his mouth being full. That burger tasted good. It was then that he noticed Bryce was in, as he nodded in acknowledgement, before turning his head back to John who was leaning dangerously close to Seamus.

Vanessa's Beach House

"Eh, I didn't make it. I stole it all from the homeless shelter.", Vanessa quipped, prompting Dom to snicker at her joke. She still felt the need to clarify that it was a joke, which was understandable. People nowadays get offended for no reason at all so establishing context is needed in some cases.

"Actually, it took me about five hours. I should've called my grandmother but she is a bit too festive, you know."
"Five hours?! That's impressive.", Dominic replied as his tone elevated slightly higher than usual. He also fully understood her statement about grandmas. While his grandma wasn't the festive type, she was fun at parties too, if said parties were being held by a Neo-nazi branch. If he was to bring his grandma to meet his friends, she'd keep preaching about how they'll burn in hell because they don't believe in Jesus. She also harbors a deep hatred for people of Celtic origins, Afro-Americans, Asians and anyone who wasn't Caucasian. Long story short, she wouldn't approve of any of his friends especially Candy and Seamus. Just as his mind drifted to that Irish bastard, he felt a pale arm slither around his shoulders. A little bit startled, he looked to see Seamus occupying his private space. Speak of the devil. He checked to see if he was holding the promised goods in his free hand, but apparently he was either lying or he left them in his car. The latter was more likely, as it's very rare to see an Irish man lie about stuff related to alcohol. He had also barged just in time to interrupt Vanessa as she was about to say something, leaving Dominic in a cliffhanger.

"Impeccable timing, pal.", Dominic grumbled sarcastically in response to his greeting, a smug grin covering his face. "I've been fine.", he proceeded, shifting his sight away from him and back to Vanessa. For a brief moment, Dominic was left to be the the third wheel as Vanessa and Seamus initiated their small talk. He grabbed the phone from his pocket yet again to check an earlier message. It was by Seamus, so he didn't even bother to read it, predicting that it's related to alcohol. Just as he was about to slide the phone back into the pocket, he heard a buzz at the table followed by a vibration in his hand. He unlocked the phone for the third time to see a message by John, announcing that he'd be there shortly. Good. He liked John. Anyone who had a good relationship with his sister was okay in Dominic's book. Plus, he was a technology nerd too, so they had that in common. Dominic put the phone back into his pocket just in time to see Vanessa devour a delicious burger and act like it was the best thing in the world. That totally sold him. He wanted to get his hands on a plate too, but that goddamn fresh mint spray still didn't leave his mouth.

"So, let's go inside and sit, shall we?"
Dominic did a double take at Vanessa's invitation, eyeing her as she went and took a seat in a double-seated couch. Throwing his gaze at the towering Ginger, Dominic extended his hand toward the furniture as if doing a solemn bow before saying "Ladies first.".

Vanessa's Beach House

Holding a bag of ice in his right hand and an unhealthy amount of anxiety in his heart, Dominic waited for Vanessa to finally open the door. His phone was constantly buzzing by what he immediately assumed to be texts from the rest of the pack. That surely explained why they were taking their sweetass time to get to the party. The door finally opened and out came Vanessa, as stunning as ever. "Hey, Dominic. You're the first one to arrive." Usually when someone's opener is stating the painful obvious, Dom replies with the classic "No shit, Sherlock" while doing an inappropriate jerkoff motion. However, Vanessa was one of the few exceptions. Actually, Vanessa was the only exception. He responded to her by giving out a hearty smile, the kind where his eyes almost get shut completely and wrinkles start appearing on his forehead, while his mouth stretches from one cheek to another thereby revealing his teeth. As soon as she leaned in for the welcome hug, everything seemed to switch into slow-mo. He wanted to throw both his arms around her and just enjoy the moment, but he had a melting bag of ice in his hand which he couldn't drop down, so all he could do was a friendly pat on the back using his free hand. Yes, he was cockblocked by a bag of ice. What are the odds.

"How are you doing today?"
"Good, good.", Dominic responded, resisting the urge to point out to her that it was almost night time. He used his left hand to reach his right pocket, pulling out his phone and looking at the group messages while Vanessa did the same. Apparently, Seamus was bringing alcoholic beverages. Usually when Seamus got drunk, he would start hitting on Dom, but he abruptly stopped doing that since around six months. Dominic couldn't understand the reason behind it. His best guess was that he found someone, but he didn't try and find any evidence to back it up. Prying is not Dom's type of thing, except in those cases when it totally is. The rest of the group simply wrote about how they were en route to the party, with the exception of John who was absent. As soon as he was finished viewing the texts, he slinked the phone down to his left pocket and initiated a staring contest with the host, Vanessa. He looked back a couple of times to see if she had noticed something wrong going on with the scenery behind. Nothing. He then wiped the edge of his mouth with his hands. Maybe he had drool all over his face but failed to notice it. After all, the bathroom at his house had very dim lighting.

"So, want to see how I set my patio up for this special occasion?", Vanessa queried, finally breaking the awkward silence that was reigning over the residence.
"Sure thing.", Dom replied, soldiering on with the bag of ice still in his hand. He had that bag of ice with himself for so long that he briefly considered running to the nearest Church and baptizing it. It was only after Vanessa began putting food on her plate that Dom carefully laid the bag down on the ground, knowing full well that it would soak the floor.

"I'll leave this bag of ice here.", he said, hoping that it would serve as a reminder to her. The food released an amazing smell. He could understand why Vanessa was so eager to try some before the party even started. He was actually going to do the same once the lingering taste of fresh mint went away from his mouth. "How long did it take you to make all of this?", he spoke, meaning to break the ice.
