I should probably finally post something, too, but I need sleep right now. Hopefully I'll get something out tomorrow.
Combination of both, really. I haven't had many chances, but I haven't had many ideas during the time I have had. A bit of it's that I don't think Rhea'd be in Diehlstadt yet in the morning, since she's still staying elsewhere at this point. Since the town's kinda the focus of things it seems to me like it'd a bit silly to start elsewhere right now.
I still haven't written an intro post. -_-;

Race: Just an ordinary human.
Appearance:
Job: Rhea is a student first and foremost, but she works part-time at a chain restaurant. The job is proving to be much different than it would be working at any other of the restaurant's locations, due to the need to accommodate for the many different tastes of all the various races.
Personality: Rhea is eternally optimistic and often has her head in the clouds. She has nothing but adoration towards anything she considers "cute", and goes out of her way to collect as many cute things as she can. She's also more than a little arrogant and craves being the center of attention, which often leads to her putting on an air of superiority no matter who she's talking to. Because this can understandingly be quite off-putting, she usually has a bit of trouble meaningfully connecting with anyone she's just met.
Background: Rhea has lived pretty ordinarily for most of her life so far. She attends classes at a university fairly close to Diehlstadt, and the idea of the town excited and fascinated her from the very first time she heard about it. Her interest only grew when she convinced herself of how cute some of the mythological beings there could be. When the opportunity came to rent an apartment there for the remainder of the year she jumped at it instantly.
Rhea is still in the process of moving in. Over the past two or three weeks, she's come to Diehlstadt every few days for her new job (which she applied for around the same time she first visited her new apartment) but she's still staying elsewhere until all her stuff is brought over. At this point, the inside of her apartment consists of many unpacked boxes and not much else. Naturally, because she's lived in the human world her entire life, practically everything in Diehlstadt is amazing to her, and she's still wowed by all the things the older residents are very used to.

Yesterday turned out to still be a bit more hectic than I'd thought, but I'm definitely still interested in this. Apologies for taking so long with a CS as basic as this. Hopefully I won't need to revise it too much now that IC has already started.
Now that real life's settled down, I'm working on a character sheet and should have something later today.

Out of curiosity, are we allowed to sign up as humans, or will all the humans in the setting be NPCs or something along those lines?

I've been considering making an account here for a while now, and with the school year coming to a close, I thought I might finally sign up and hopefully join some things!
I've been RPing for many years, but I've only been involved with a few things recently. I don't think I have any particular favorite genre to write in or anything of that nature at present, and while I prefer writing more casually, I'm willing to go more advanced if things are interesting enough to me. I don't really have any specific idea in mind for what I'd currently like to write, so I think I'll just look through the interest check sections and see what comes across as most fun to me. I haven't done any 1x1 roleplays in a long time, maybe I'll start my search there.
Beyond that, I'm not entirely sure what else I should say right now. Nice to meet you, I guess!
