"Damn, I've had just about enough of this," Telos muttered. "Better now than never, time to unload!"

(Ability used: Unload. Roll to hit = 14+2, it connects. 1d8 damage + Dex mod = 8+2. Total Damage Dealt = 10. Laser Pistol Battery expended. Targeted Foe defeated.)

With 5 of the 10 original guards now defeated, and a few left weakened, the remaining guards flee into the compound. Telos mentally notes that now might be a good time to get everyone on the same page.
8 guards remain. 5 injured.

The guards attack, splitting up into groups of two to combat the 4-person alliance.

[From now on, I'll be keeping the NPC rolls under the hood, so you won't be able to decipher the enemy modifiers. PM me if this is an issue.]

[Normally I'll have large groups of enemies roll for characters based on who attacked them first, in order of posting, unless someone does something to gain agro or another special circumstance.]

A pair of guards lash out with their stun batons, which were deftly dodged by Telos.

Another group of guards target Carina, in an attempt to avenge their fallen comrade. They fired off one blaster shot each, both being deflected with ease.

A third pair of guards leap onto Midori, who was able to swiftly dodge one of the attacks, but was nicked on the arm by the other's stun baton for 1 damage. [9/10 health remaining]

The fourth and final group, managing to pin down the location of Nillian, fired off two shots in her direction, both just barely missing her head and forearm respectively.

Telos, in hopes to redeem himself for his poor showing on his own signature attack decided to keep it relatively simple this time around. Once on the ground from his earlier leap, and dodging two attacks from the guards, he lashed out with his scimitar, again completely missing his mark [natural 6 + 2 str mod = 8 total, hit check failed].

"Damn, what does it take to land a good hit these days?" He readied himself for a counter attack.
The guard attacking the angry dark haired woman raised his stun baton above his head, and struck down at the woman. [rolling a 9 to hit] However, The woman dodged the attack.
"Glad to have you on the team, miss. And you, angry looking lady, I think we have a bigger problem on our hands at the moment! Maybe we can talk this out afterward? Now, lets get this going." Telos turns his attention to the ten grylin who oppose him and his new comrade. "Look, I'm going to give you guys one chance to get out of here, I don't want anyone to get hurt."

The guards laughed, and one of them charged at the the angry looking black haired girl, in an attempt to catch her off guard while her attention was on Telos and Midori.

Telos sighed. "I guess it has to be this way then, huh?"

Telos jumps into the air, using his wings to help re-position himself outside of the circle of guards. (Flight check, natural roll = 12, Flight bonus = 3, total = 15, check passed). "Begone!" Telos unleashes his breath weapon, targeting 6 of the ten guards. (To hit check CHA bonus = 2, Natural roll = 3 total = 5, check failed. [half damage due to collateral nature of conic attacks] half 2 d8 damage = 4 damage + status effect: 3 reduced armor class for the 6 affected.)

"Well that didn't go exactly as planned, but they're softened up! Give em' hell ladies."
"Right to the point, I see." Telos quipped at the short red head. My name, since you asked, is Telos and as for why I'm here, well, I'm looking for some information, lets leave it at that for now.

In his peripheral vision, Telos noticed a Grylin guard atop one of the massive walls staring at the pair of humanoids, barking something Telos couldn't hear into a radio. Telos assumed the worst, that he was alerting the security HQ.

I'd ask for your name as well, but I have a sinking feeling we might not have time for such formalities. The red headed woman looked confused, but as if on queue, blindingly bright searchlights converged on the duo's position, and the harsh voice of a Grylin security commander barked orders at his subordinates over an intercom.

Well, it looks like we've gotten ourselves into quite the predicament. I have an escape plan but I'm going to need your help. How does a temporary alliance sound?

Just then, a squad of 10 Grylin security guards encircled the duo.
"Jeez Metty this is taking too long, I'm going to go do some recon." Telos was getting tired of waiting for his companion to finish her hack job, his impatience getting the best of him. "Fine, but don't go getting yourself in trouble!" Me'Tul said, knowing full well that Telos was going to get himself in trouble. It always goes this way, but he always finds a way to make it out in one piece. The blue creature gave up trying to stop him long ago.

Telos, making his way through the compound took in his surroundings while trying to stay out of sight. The place was very utilitarian in design, few windows dotted the outside of the massive building. Telos thought to himself how dull it must be to work here, and thanked his luck that he was spared the fate of having to work a boring job.

In his doldrum of thought he failed to notice that there was a woman with long red hair pointing a blaster rifle at him. Until it was too late for him to do anything about it that is. When Telos finally noticed, he put his arms to the air in a gesture of surrender, figuring his best shot at survival at this point would be to talk his way out of the situation.

"So, come here often?"
@thehighjuumper Almost done friend.
Waiting for our main man DP
"So this is the famous Helevin Distribution Center, huh Metty?" Telos thought to himself and his floating blue friend as he gazed upon the checkpoint from his perch on a nearby hill. "Looks like it Telos. And I told you not to call me that." "Well, might as well get this party started, huh Metty?." Me'Tul sighed and dimmed herself (so she wouldn't be seen by the guards) as they started down the hill as silently and as cautiously as they could, approaching the facility. "If there's any chance there could be information here regarding Phoenix's connection with the Cavaliers, we can't afford to mess this up!"

Once the pair had safely arrived at one of the checkpoint's large walls, Telos unsheathed his claws and begun to climb his way into the facility. Leaving numerous claw marks in the wall as he ascended, Me'tul berated him for the property damage he was inflicting on the facility. Telos sarcastically replied "If they aren't in a cooperative mood a few scratch marks on one of their walls will be the least of their worries."

Safely over the wall and undetected, the duo proceeded through the massive compound until they reached a side entrance. This entrance was nothing more than a steel door protected by a pass code lock. "This is probably the safest way we can get in here undetected. Its going to take me a while to hack this thing, so sit tight." Grateful for Me'Tul's ability to interact with electronic systems, (a skill Telos was severely lacking in) the would-be Ice Dragon sat down and waited for his buddy to work her magic.
So I heard you guys are doing some sort of Space RP? I'd like in.
