Yep, still here, just didn't have a time to post. I will much later today or early tomorrow, once am done with work.
Decided to post some of what I had anyway. I'm not sure what Alex will think when Vice has to go act as backup, but...that's not for me to decide! :B

Nice post, Fukubei made me laugh.

Which of the two?
Subject 313 - Darlene

"Prisoners? Wouldn't that mean we actually did something to get here? You make no sense ..."

Darlene didn't reply although she unexpectedly felt her heart racing as she realized that the girl was addressing her previous remark.

"I..." She wanted to reply, she knew what to say but she couldn't as an invisible wall formed in her mind, built on fear and anxiety, feelings she could identify but not understand or get out of the way. And she stayed silent, lowering her head and tightening her sweaty palms into fists.
She kept her distance as the two groups mingled, exchanging pleasantries and watching how both boys and girls reacted to each other, so naturally. She wasn't like that, she knew that much about herself already.

And then all hell broke loose. As the large metal door standing in their way, opened, the group came across some guards roughing up another one with a collar and just as she expected, the petite one, rushed to defend him with her words only to be beaten to a pulp with no one, not even the one who was leading the boys, assisting her.

They have broken him. she thought. Just what horrors has he faced in order to abandon her in her hour of need so... so... so easily! So nonchalant--

She watched Red's skin heal the very moment the collar broke and then she saw the reason why they had those collars in the first place. She didn't mind the violence nor the blood. Not even death as she saw that mysterious guy shoot the guard in the head as if it was nothing.

She glanced towards the woman who apparently called the shots, she ruled over life and death as if it was an everyday matter, she was used to such extreme events and that further proved Darlene's thought that they weren't the first.

Darlene wondered how many of her group would face such a death, herself included, as conflict between them and those in charge was a matter of time.

Or will they break us too? It's obviously not their first rodeo so they certainly have their ways to make us submit. And if all else fails, who can be sure that they won't kill us all.

She took a deep breath and focused her gaze on Red.

This is a circus. A twisted circus and we are the wild animals, forced to learn how to obey. If we don't we're screwed. If we do, we're also screwed. Obey and live, disobey and die. They are certain that they are in charge, that their control over us is complete and it's true, so far, it is. But...

She smiled and slightly nodded towards Red, Darlene's way of showing her respect to her guts.

Ever seen a wild animal that if you crossed paths with, you were sure it wouldn't bite?
Sadly, I will be withdrawing from this roleplay as it turned out different than I expected. Have fun y'all.
Revolutionary Army Vessel

"As for you, as much as I'd like to have you there in case there's trouble, I need your help with something else. Jolyne and Jakellian have been working their hearts out, but we're still critically understaffed as far as doctors go. And of course, between that newspaper article and the public's opinion on us, it's not going to be easy to just hire one. Still, could you give it a look? It's kind of a longshot, but you're really honest... Really honest. Tricking a doctor into helping us won't do us any good. Just be careful about what you tell people..."

Vice had her orders. Finally! she thought as she simply nodded towards Alzac and winked at Fukubei. Moments later, she was on her way, a plan already formed in her head.

Ostropa

She had been watching the two men for quite some time now and she was certain that they would be able to help her.

"Excuse me, would you know where to find a doctor?" she asked as she wore her best smile and tried her best to appear as fragile as she could.

"A doctor? You aren't hurt, are you? Someone like you should be careful...-"

They know! she thought and her hand moved to her blade at once.

"...around these parts, lots of shady guys and with the revolutionaries making their move on Pol Topelia, things could get dangerous."

"Is that a threat, little man?" she whispered with a raspy voice. Once more, she had completely missed the point.

"Huh? How?... What am saying is that we, as soldiers, will fight for your safe-"

"For my head?! Aha, it seems like I fell right into your ambush. But don't you think that you have me now! This revolutionary will definitely return to the base with a doctor! Just you watch!

"A revolutionary! Impossible!"

As both parties drew their weapons, Vice only then noticed a piece of paper on a nearby board, where big red letters had the name 'Doctor Simmons' and an address below them.

She grinned and sheathed her blade.

"It seems like I won't be kicking your asses today. So long, soldiers of the tyrant!"

She ran off and soon was on the street where supposedly Simmons was located.

She entered the building as if she owned it, looking as feminine and cute as she could, she had to get him to follow her without any violence.

Alexander had only walked a good three feet before he saw Vice as a blur run past him. "The hell?!" he yelled as the she ran into the office he was in not to long ago. He ran back to the office to see what the blur was, only to see a orientally dressed women looking around the room desperately. 'Beautiful,' he thought as he got a good look at the women in front of him, but quickly erased the train of thought from his mind as he noticed was the blade at her side, 'This is a dangerous woman.' he thought

"DOCTOR SIMMONS!" she yelled.

"If you're looking for doctor Simmons, he's gone. If you're looking for a doctor, I can help if it's an emergency." Alex explained from behind her as he lifted his bag to show the doctor sign on his bag. "My name is Doctor Storm. I'm a travelling doctor." he said.

For a long moment, Vice stared at the man claiming to be a doctor and she could see that he was very young yet his black eyes had a certain confidence in them.

"You don't even know who I am and what I want. I could be a revolutionary and you wouldn't have a clue. Even a travelling doctor, as you claim to be, should be on his toes in Ostropa."

She took a step closer and clearly put her hand on her katana.

"Thing is, in these parts, no one offers help without wanting something in return. What do you want, Dr. Storm, in exchange for your help?"

Vice was serious this time, there was no room for even the slightest mistake, the lives of many of her comrades rested on her shoulders.

Alex very subtly put his hand closer to his own concealed weapons, ready to defend himeself against the katana wielder if the need be. He thought about her words for a minute before responding, "I'm the kind of guy who will work for three things, Money, Information, and Honesty." he responded with a stern look. "The first two can wait for later but I want you to be honest with me now if you want my help, ARE you a revolutionary?" he asked blatantly, as he was trying not to beat around the bush. "And if you are, tell me the truth of what happened." He began as he held up a newspaper showing the headline 'Revolutionaries Attack Boat Carrying Medical Supplies for Epidemic! Dozens Endangered!' "I know that this is a lie, but I want to know what realy happened."

"Yes, I am a revolutionary." she whispered as she leaned closer.

"But don't even think about using that against me. Now, if you follow me, I'll get you to a man who will explain everything. It's not too far."

Vice didn't know this guy well enough to trust him around her comrades but she didn't have any other options with Dr. Simmons gone. She would take him to Alzac and he would decide what would follow.

Alex watched her eyes very carefully. They were unwavering and determined, passion that only someone who was telling the truth could show. "Patient confidentiality, as long as I'm working for you, you don't have to worry about me telling anybody anything." He said with a smirk.

She started walking towards the exit, stopping only for a brief moment.

"Well, are you coming?" she said once more, wearing her warmest smile.

Alex nodded before beginning to step out the building, "Lead the way, the faster we go the sooner I can get to work."
Guys, I think am gonna drop out, have fun.
Subject 313 - Darlene

"Hi everyone. I'm Sony. Nice to meet you all."

Darlene hadn't noticed the last girl in their group till now and what piqued her interest was her reaction to simply talking. A reaction which proved what Darlene had been thinking for a while now although it was still too early to end the discussion in her head.

This is getting more confusing by the minute. she thought as she ran her fingers through her hair for the third time in a row. They were so soft she could do that for days and she quite liked their color too, black as a raven. She paused for a moment and thought of the reactions those girls had as they discovered themselves since she could easily have them if not for the control she apparently had over her instincts. To be honest, she would do anything for a mirror in order to see herself, to see what Darlene looked like in their eyes but she couldn't relax in a place like this.

And then she saw the rest of their group, the boys. She stared for a few moments, trying to find a reason why they were separated but she couldn't. They had rougher features than those of the girls and looked stronger too, well, except for the hyperactive amazon who apparently wasn't a brute but quite nice after all. Same with the one who seemed to have a problem with loud noises and wasn't just mean.

I really shouldn't jump to conclusions like that. We're in the same boat after all. she thought, mentally scolding herself.

Darlene silently followed her group despite the fact that she hadn't really made her presence known. She wasn't sure that she liked being a wallflower but it would have to do until she was more certain of her surroundings. She stayed close to the girls in her group although wary of the amazon's hair, with a trail of thoughts forming conclusions, in her mind.

There are those with the collars and those without them and she already said that we have certain ''traits''. And she obviously meant us since she did those fancy tricks with her blood after that guy without a collar agreed to remove hers. Plus, this place with all the scientists and guards, screams that we are not like them and they, without a doubt, aren't like us.

She froze in place, eyes wide, with her every cell filling with an emotion she hadn't experienced so far. Shock.

"We are prisoners." she whispered, feeling her stomach turn as she knew how precious the word ''freedom'' was in her head.

We are stuck here and we are not the first ones.

She immediately hid her face in her palms, hoping no one had noticed her sudden shift in behavior. A moment later, she looked straight ahead, at her group, both boys and girls. Her face void of emotions except for a slight smirk.

Could turn out interesting, this place.
Subject 313 - Darlene

Blurred images and flashing lights. Those confusing visions where her world up until the very moment she felt the warmth of her body clashing with the coldness of the floor beneath her. She could hear a voice near her and she was somewhat able to understand it yet her mind couldn't focus on it as she put her hands around her knees and buried her face in them. In the future she would call it sensory overload but at the moment, it was nothing sort of torture.

Darlene huh? she thought, somewhat understanding this foreign yet familiar way of hiding emotions, ideas and pretty much anything that makes a person, behind a few straight or bend lines which formed letters and those, in turn, formed words. And she believed she understood perfectly well how to use words and what kind of meaning they can take depending on the situation. For example, her name was ''Darlene'' and that specific combination of six different letters was the sum of everything she ever was, is and will ever be.

She relaxed her stance and slowly exposed her eyes to the strange room she was in, taking in everything from the one talking to those beside her.

"Bloody hell." Darlene whispered with a raspy voice as her throat was completely dry while being blinded by the light and annoyed by the constant rambling of the petite girl near her, despite the fact that she was apparently speaking about some kind of trait they all had which could prove to be some kind of a big deal.

"You see, all of you have unique...lets say "traits", and you're all different from each other...later today, you all will find out what your traits are. So that is all I can give you for now, are there any questions?"

By the time the girl asked whether they had any questions, Darlene had already shifted her attention to herself -as expected- and had been slowly rocking back and forth while trying to make sense of her situation, without any luck...

"Pick me! Pick me! Commmmonnnnn! I got alota' questions! Cooooomon! Pllllllease! I gotta know!"

...until she was abruptly brought back to reality by a girl who was the closest thing to a giant Darlene would ever see in her life and although her childish behavior did annoy her, she didn't consider conflict to be the best course of action. And then the amazon's hair almost blinded her.

"You little sh-"

"Shut. UP! Just... We got it. I can hear you, she can hear you... I think? Ugh."

Darlene held her breath for a moment before rubbing her temples, suddenly feeling too tired to speak as she wondered about the effect these people would have on this completely unknown situation she was in.
