The small town of Corona, a place that most wouldn't believe existed if it wasn't labeled on a map. White stone houses with dark and mismatched brown roofs lined the roads and dirt paths that trailed in and out of the town. It was a safe enough place that children could spent hours on end playing outside and adults to drink all night at the pub without worrying about getting back home. Everyone somehow knew each other and the town became more like a small unit of familial neighbors than anything else. It was just the place for Mikazuki, just the place for someone who couldn't take care of himself for various reasons. Despite this fact, Mika found himself in yet another delivery request, but this one was much different from the normal ones he would get.
"Are you sure, you can handle taking these to Chise for me, kid?" A heavy, raspy voice spoke to the small fairy as the owner of the voice leaned on the side of the open door to his house, his muscular body causing said door to creak dangerously. In front of Mika stood Jonathan, a regular at the pub and a carpenter that usually went around and helped repair old buildings and small problems. It was clear from his body posture and raspy voice that he probably wasn't feeling well, so that would explain why Mika was tasked to hand over what fell like a basket filled with something to the pub. The blindfolded boy nodded slowly, what was visible of his expression narrowing.
"Y-Yeah, shouldn't really be a problem. I'll let Prim know you're okay while I'm at it." As the fairy finished his confirmation, a large hand sloppily ruffled his hair before he backed up.
"Ew, don't touch me! You sick...weirdo..." He frowned, only receiving a quiet laugh in return before he was off.
Mika couldn't help but be surprised every single time he made his way over to the Corona pub. He had gone through these paths and trails so many times that he could do it with his eyes closed! Not that that would really make a difference... And while Mika was curious as to what exactly he was holding, he chose not to feel around on what was inside and just wait to hear what it was from the pub owner, Chise.
Getting the occasional greeting from adults and children alike, Mika's little delivery stretched out a lot longer than he anticipated. He had just arrived to said pub, when his jaw slackened slightly, followed by a confused noise escaping his lips. What was this feeling? Multiple Auras...three in fact. One was familiar but fading away fast, another was too strong for his liking, and the last... he couldn't put his finger on it. But what really made it weird was that he wasn't even looking in the direction of said Auras, he was sure of it. Instead he was able to sense their presence, which was already causing alarms to scream in his brain. Too frazzled to take his time, Mika swiftly placed the basket in front of the front entrance and knocked three times before making his way in the direction of the interesting Auras.
From what Mika could tell, these Aura's weren't too far from Corona, but it did require a bit of flying to get a better look on the land, which he only did once he was far enough away from his beloved town to fly unnoticed. Wouldn't want them treating him different because of what he was... From were Mika was hovering, only the occasional tree reach his vision. Those three Auras, however, were getting closer. Maybe they were in that nearby swamp? Or perhaps the river where Coronians (was that what they were even called? Was there even enough people living there to be called that??) would go to collect water for purifying tests? It was his only bet, and the ones that made the most sense. Lowering himself back to the ground, Mika began his sprint towards the river, the chains on his ankles and wrist rubbing together with every step he took.
"Stop! We can't leave! We have-!" Mika froze when a woman's voice reverberated in his ears. Was that them? Judging by the sounds and the silhouettes the Aura made, Mika was correct, and most likely too late. Was he... taking her against her will? That's the only thing that made sense with what little context he had. And where was the third person he sensed?
Not seeing the third person, nor sensing him, Mika shook his head to focus back on what was important; saving that girl! But how was he suppose to do that? Should he go get help? No, he could do that to anyone living in Corona... but he if he went out there himself, he would probably hurt the both of them. Without even realizing it, Mika's breathing picked up as he placed a bandaged hand to his chest.
Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Calm...down...
Can't.
Mika gritted his teeth as he stood from his hiding place, a simple bush near the edge of the river, and sighed before making his presence known to the holy knight by shaking his wrist, the chains producing a chilling sound.
"What do you think you're doing, human? That's no way to treat a lady, unless you seriously want to get beat up." The boy droned, the chains on his body loosening ever so slightly.
