Current Just heard the news about Woojin from Stray Kids. I'm so devastated and literally shaking. This feels like a really sick joke, but I hope he and the other 8 members are okay. #ThankYouWoojin

location: Vertti Household

Grisaia was always the one to follow orders, even if said orders wouldn't benefit the Mistress. Despite wanting to stay by her side, Vertti asked him to keep guard outside of her room. It was a simple task, really, just make sure that no one would enter until she was finished acquiring the royal seal.

Or at least he thought it wouldn't be difficult.

Many, almost countless times, a searing hot anger poured into his veins. The stench of death and revenge clung to his body as he personally couldn't hold back from retaliating against someone who was once a friend. It was something he thought he could never forget, especially since he could've easily prevented the circumstances, something that would stick with him for the rest of his life, but as his master died in front of him over and over and over again, Grisaia was forced to relinquish the grudges and memories he normally wouldn't in favor of standing guard in front of Vertti's room.

...

...It was a simple task, really...

While he had no intention of eavesdropping, the rabbit boy couldn't stop his ears from picking up the conversation happening on the other side of the door. Vertti told him not to trust Mie...that she wasn't someone they could call a friend. So why were they talking to each other as if this was the norm? Every cell in his body screamed to go in and protect the Mistress, but his mind remained focused on the order given to him.

Contracts, bargaining, and even...wait, did he hear that right? Although now really wasn't the time for such things, Grisaia felt like he heard something he probably shouldn't, expression neutral and almost a little downcast. The two in the other room continued on as if Vertti's life changing question was never even mentioned. He probably zoned out after that, because when the crystal eyes boy came back to, Mie accepted. This...this was happening too fast for Grisaia to honestly comprehend. It sounded like a political friendship with benefits more than anything else. Was the blonde really too dense to realize they harbored at some romantic feeling for each other? And, finally, the most important question in all of this...

Was he suppose to call Mie his mom now?

Too flustered to think about it any further, Grisaia pushed the thoughts and feeling of not getting a say in any of this out of his brain, his eyes moving to something he could distract himself with. Fortunately, well more like unfortunately for him, everything seemed to be in order. Adhara nor Anubis have reported anything of value, and no one seemed to be acting out of the ordinary from where he was looking.

The blond opted to hesitantly knock on the Mistress' door instead, a slight frown tugging at his features.
"...I-Is everything alright...in there?" He mumbled out, still unsure about how to take what just transpired.

Just as the young girl said she would, Eiko traversed the skies, her flight path being a clockwise circle around the barricades as well as Vertti's household. Because of how reinforced said barricades were, Eiko didn't have to worry much about any cultists running around and instead helped a few stragglers find their way to Vertti's. Everything had been relatively okay until her attention was pulled to something far past what she was restricting herself to. Of course the cultists weren't going to give up so easily, readily prepared with siege engines, catapults, and trebuchets, probably getting ready to charge into the city.

She needed to go alert the other about this...but the panic it could cause would only make their situation worse. If anything Eiko could get herself a better look and see where exactly they were planning to strike before spreading information. And that's exactly what she did. Steeling herself by offering a prayer to Od Laguna, Eiko flew towards and past the city walls, only to let out a squeak at the sight of a magical wind carrying the weapons of the cultists over the walls, onto the unsuspecting people guarding said walls, and through a bit of her flight path if she was still following it. Eiko didn't take the time to see who or what caused that wind as she instead hurried towards the group of cultists arms with the ranged contraptions and siege engines, hoping to at least get a better idea and disrupt them from potentially causing any harm.
Outside Mecca, Green Sahara @Nerevarine @Double

...Things weren't looking too good. In the time that Capella had been separated from the man, he was only able to cause minimal damage to his brother, or what was left of him. Audry tried her hand at subduing the beast herself, but with the injures she'd already sustained (or at least the ones Capella could see), it didn't look like she'd be able to do anything so long as the Lost Soul didn't stand still. Unfortunately for them, they were all suffering from injuries some garnered from this whole ordeal and others beforehand. The blonde still had yet to return to 100% from her previous brawl, but it didn't look like she'd have a choice on whether to hold back or not.

The other two could handle attacking. She'd have to at least slow the monster down. I was all she could do.

Taking a deep breath to relax her tense muscles, Capella's hand moved like the wind, one creating two glyphs with her fingers while the other was moving Halcyon around like a wand, drawing another glyph. All three showed the constellation of Andromeda. Overlaying them together and putting out the magic needed for this work, Capella began her incantation.

"al ras al mar’ah al musalsalah,
mizar,
Messier Object 31, Andromeda!"

As the last syllable left her mouth, the three glyphs exploded into head sized balls of scorching light. Said balls hovered in the air as they surrounded the Lost Soul, eventually shooting out gold chains of light towards the beast in all directions. The holy chains themselves were meant to restrict and restrain, going for the arms and legs, before grabbing onto the torso and the neck. Capella had no control over what the monster would do to retaliate, so she could only hope that it was at least enough to hold it down for a little bit.

As for the blonde and teal haired girl herself, her vision blurred the moment she finished the incantation, her whole body felt like jelly as her magic was draining out of her like water in a sink. Calling for the aid of a Messier Object as well as two other stars from the same constellation...Capella reminded to never let herself do something so brain melting ever again. Despite this feeling, Capella readied another glyph, albeit, very slowly, her inability to firmly hold her Keyblade as well as concentrate on what was even going on around her was proving to be a problem.

Breeze Porfirio || Arsenal
everyone in the gym

This Erika girl didn't seem to be the nicest apple out of the bunch for sure. It was one thing to act ignorant about a situation she had no business of butting her horns into, but she essentially called them all fodder compared to the three of them. Breeze wasn't the type to ever get angry at something like this, but hearing the confidence drip out of the dark girl's mouth was definitely annoying. Breeze was sick and tired of the comments that just so happened to jab at her already receding self-esteem, but before she nor anyone had a chance to shut the other girl up, a newcomer joined the steady growing group, earning a yet another squeak from the green haired girl, eyes wide and watery at the sight of one of the other homeroom teachers Maple King. Despite how use Breeze should be to seeing Mutant Quirks and the like, it still managed to bring a reaction out of the girl whenever she did see them. She could only hope the other wasn't offended by it...

The teacher seemed to be up to overseeing their sparring which was good, Breeze nodding slowly to herself in agreement to Kerianne's previous warning on the sparring session. A thought crossed the green girl's mind to take this more seriously and take out the weighted blocks coating her pale skin, but she eventually opted against it since it would make the experience all the more real; plus, none of them should have anything sharp on them so she should be fine, right?

Knowing, but ultimately dreading that they'd have to split into teams, Breeze remained mostly quiet, an earnest whimper rumbling in her throat. Hearing Gabby desire to team up with Momo made the girl think she should try and pair up with one of the other class students. But Erika was scary and she didn't know anything about the blonde one. She was going to ask either Yi or Kerianne, but there was probably the chance they would want to spar with new people. So...Breeze was in a predicament.

"..." Downcast green eyes fell to her feet as she waited to see what the others wanted to do before voicing her thoughts.

Fei || Andour City || @JrVader

Enveloped in the embrace of the stranger kind enough to come to her aid, Fei latched onto the man's clothing much like a koala would, face buried near the crook on his neck as she awaited the effects of the collision to gradually wear off. Most people would first thank the person that probably saved themselves from becoming nothing but a giant splat on the ground, but Fei needed to get something clear first before she could move onto that.

Pulling away bit so that she could see her surroundings a bit better, Fei let out an annoyed snarl, shaking a gloved fist in the air much like an old man trying to get the neighborhood kids off his lawn.
"Charna, get your butt over here this instant!" She yelled before letting out a high pitched whistle that's make sure the dark pegasus was listening.

Once she got that out of her system, the dark haired girl looked up to her savior with a small, but clearly embarrassed smile.
"I am so sorry you had to help me like that. I-I really appreciate it though!" She hummed, purple eyes moving from the other's face to the white wings protruding from his back. She wanted to ask...she really did, but would it come off as rude? Unsure herself, Fei decided to go for it, seeing as the man as kind enough to, oh I don't know, save her or someone else from immediate death.

"Apologies if I got the wrong idea but...are you an angel?"

Wow...that sounded a lot better in her head.

Nova || Merunda

The week that came and went from traveling was mostly uneventful. Camping was neat, except for the bugs...and the dirt...and not being able to sleep because it was a little too dark, but that's beside the point. What mattered now was that the group had made it to safe civilization, which meant Nova didn't have to sleep outside. Just the thought of being in a bed was almost enough to distract the teen from the destroyed city before them; fortunately he wasn't that narrow minded.

Anxiety was quick to settle in the green haired boy's stomach, a hand resting there as if it would alleviate the feeling somehow. Nortiz offered to scout ahead while Zachary claimed they should go and look for surviors, both of which were valid options.
"I-I think we should d-do both. Mr. Nortiz should can scout ahead s-since he'll get around q-quick while the rest of us search for a-any survivors...or even wh-who caused this." He tried to explain, both arms already clutching his Fire tome to his chest, awaiting what the prince would eventually decide on.

Fei || Andour City || @JrVader

Fei resisted the immediate urge to scream even louder than she has before, the ground littered with people of various races and kinds. Instead, her hands remained clasped in front of her chest, eyes squeezed shut and mouth clamped tight from the wind, and knees bent close to her, resulting in the falling girl to begin spin like a certain blue hedgehog. Too scared to check how much closer she'd gotten in that time, Fei mentally prays to the gods in hope that she wouldn't kill someone over such a stupid reason.

"Open your arms!"

She thought all hope was lost until the sound of another voice cut through the wind, but only barely. It was enough for the dark haired girl to force an eye open, gasping at the sight she was approaching.

It was a man, but not just any man, an angel right there waiting to stop her descent. Knowing that now wasn't the time to get giddy off a literal perfect person swooping in to save her, Fei attempted to straighten out, body twisting and curling before her arms eventually straightened out and she was facing the angel, baggy sleeves sliding back and exposing her arms.

Doing as she was told, the young Sky Knight could only hope this man was strong enough to stop the both of them from tumbling down...
Ready! You can move on whenever ^^
@EurmalEye I know right, that's so crazy! It was still a great post regardless, though! :D

Fei || Andour City

A pleasant sigh fell from the young woman's lips as she and her trusted companion hovered over the skies of Andour City. Despite being so high up in the air, the sounds of music and the energy of the people excited for the Festival of Destiny's first day touched her heart, bringing a smile to her lips. This had been one of the days she was assigned to watching over the skies with another individual, one she hadn't crossed paths with yet. Fei didn't really didn't mind though, as flying on her own with Charna was definitely better than looking out for someone else.

Only arriving yesterday from her father's cart down south, Fei hadn't been able to explore the city beforehand, her best bets at finding any good vendors was based on the crowd of people and where they happened to cluster. The thought did cross the dark haired girl's mind to swoop down and get a better look, but her body immediately disagreed. If Charna went down there it could possibly startle people...not to mention she might be recognized...

Eh, who needs all the interesting vendors on the ground when she basically had to entire sky to herself?

Giving her black pegasus a tender pat, both of their hair whipping around int the wind.
"Hey, Char? Let's try that manuever while we have the time, yeah?" Fei grinned, wanting to perfect the move they've desperately been trying to get right weeks before festival began. The move itself consisted of two aileron and barrel rolls while Fei herself propelled them even faster with a bit of wind magic. For now they were just trying to get the first part down before they added magic into the mix, and it looked like they were making pretty decent headway, but something about it just wasn't clicking.

Earning a quiet neigh in return, Fei nodded with a newfound determination.
"Alright, have at it n-- Whoa!" Blinking in surprise as she was suddenly pulled to the left, Fei could only let out an annoyed sigh as Charna began chasing the bird that flew by them, their vibrant colors probably enticing the beast to chase after them. "Stop that Char. We can all share the sky toget...her..." Another jerk sent the girl completely off the pegasus, her grip on the reigns being pulled away as if she wasn't holding onto them in the first place. Fei herself couldn't really comprehend what happened as she closed her eyes from the intense movements out of mostly nowhere. The loss contact from Charna made her open then again, only to see she was tumbling towards the ground below her. Her first instinct was to use magic, but with so many people below, she might hurt someone.

Letting out and embarrassed huff mixed in with a nervous sigh, Fei braced herself for either Charna saving her or the impact of falling on top of an innocent stranger.
"S-Someone? A-Anyone?! Please caTCH MEEEEE!" She yelled out, waving her arms around as if it would help slow her descent.

Nova || Dawn, Miricia

Before he could get any response from the prince, Nova's attention was pulled to the winged Laguz, dark gold eyes meeting up with deep blue. Normally when he brought up being able to do 'magic and stuff', people would just take his word for it. Having to show proof was bit new for him, and honestly, made him feel as if they were going to judge him just based on that. Lowering his gaze down to his satchel once the prince echoed the same thing, Nova reached in and pulled out the three tomes as well as a few of his school books. Turning them so that the spines were visible, the green haired boy pointed to the green Elwind tome.

"I-I can use, fire, lightning, and wind magic. B-But I like the wind o-one the most." He said with a nod. "I learned a l-lot of stuff from school too..." More of less unaware that he used the word 'stuff' again, the young boy looked back to the winged Laguz as he spoke, nodding along once he noticed the information would benefit in terms of him joining. He found himself continuing to nod once he received proper introductions, giving each a proper, and slightly apologetic, bow.

As the boy was straightening from said bow, Nova ended up face to face with the Laguz, unable to hide the flinch that came along with the other crouching to his level. Despite the nervousness boiling up inside of him, Nova's face remained relatively calm.
"My name is...Nova. I'd r-rather not give my family name for the sake of keeping my parents m-mostly anonymous, but th-they are instructors at the college I a-attend due south of h-here..." He said as he started to shove the books back into his little bag. "...Might I ask your name?" He questioned back, his attention on the Laguz once again.
