"Oi, you!" The Doctor exclaimed playfully at Dani's comment, his face drawing into a smirk. When Dani accepted to do his favor, he slowly reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out the sonic screwdriver, holding it up in front of their faces.

"I need an analysis of that teleport that the Travarian used," He explained to the young girl, "Go to the door and press the button and hold it down to scan the area where the Travarian disappeared earlier, when it stops bleeping, just fetch it straight back over here." He finished, giving her a small smile.
The Doctor realised he had misheard the young girl and he instantly apologised.

"Sorry Dani," He said, holding up a hand, "My hearing's obviously not what it used to be either..." He chuckled as he shuffled his position so he was more comfortable leaning against the bed rest. "I should be okay to go in ten or fifteen minutes, but in the mean time, would you fancy doing me a quick favor?"
The Doctor thanked Dani for helping him lead back against the head board, his body aching as he did so. However, he could already feel his Time Lord repairing systems kicking in and soon enough, he knew his body would begin to heal.

"No no no..." The Doctor exclaimed when Dani suggested that he stay put. "You're not going anywhere alone, Travarian's are ruthless, one mistake and they'll have your guts for garters,"
The Doctor listened to Dani's idea intently, and his eyes lit up slightly as she finished attending to his wounds. "Good point, Dani," He replied back to her, "Great in fact. If I could get back to my TARDIS then I would be able to scan to see where the rest of the Travarian's are hiding out. If we could lure the one Travarian in the building to that room, then that would give us a firm chance." He looked into her eyes again and smiled. "You are a clever one, Dani."

Slowly, he began to try and raise himself up from the bed, wincing as he did so. "Give me an hour and the edge will have gone...but I'm fine-OW." He winced, as his back and stomach ached from the movement. He un-voluntarily latched onto Dani's shoulder again and had to sit back on the bed to catch his breath.
"You're right, my machine is a 'she'," He muttered. "The telepathic link in the TARDIS translates everything into your own language. Even alien languages." The Time Lord grabbed Dani's clothing again as one of his wounds tinged with pain. When he felt her place a hand on his cheek, he looked up into her young eyes, his old ones studying her face. He could sense the sympathy and kindness within this girl. He knew he could trust her. She was cleaning his wounds after all. Letting him show his appreciation, he mustered up a warm smile. "Thank you..."

Dani then proceeded to ask about the Travarian's. "They're fairly related, just by the looks really," He told her. "Why? What did you have in mind?"
The Doctor had managed to slowly sneak inside the dimply lit house, the voices of two Slitheen coming from the back room. He had to hurry. They would be able to smell him soon. He limped over to the back wall near the kitchen and hid behind it for a few seconds, making sure that he hadn't already been heard.

The Doctor glanced around the wall and took his chance to quietly sneak over to it, keeping his eyes open for Leander at all times. But the pain in his stomach and ribs was becoming more noticeable and the burning sensation was spreading, creating more pain in his already injured back. The Time Lord held back a wince of pain and cast his eyes to the ground. That's when he spotted a hand sticking out from the wall. It was Leander.

The Doctor painfully got to the floor and grabbed Leander's hand, hoping that the young boy wouldn't cry out in shock. Thankfully he didn't.

"Fit as a fiddle, well, I should hope so...uuguugh..." The Doctor held back a groan of pain as he felt his back twinge with strain. "We need to get you out of these ropes..." The Doctor's voice faded slightly as he felt his mind trying to shut down his body into the healing process.

"Doctor, hang on, please! We'll figure something out, I promise, just please don't fall asleep, all right?"

The sound of the young boy panicking made the Doctor push on and he rummaged through his coat pocket, finding a sharp enough object to be able to cut through the rope. However, the slitheen appeared to have stopped talking. And one of them had gotten up.

The Doctor used all of his strength to cut the ropes one by one and eventually, Leander came free. He heard the young boy scramble to his feet, but as he tried to get to his, he found he was hardly able to stand. The old Time Lord winced in pain as he managed to get to his feet. "Leander...where are you, we need to get out here..."
The Doctor could feel his head beginning to clear slightly and the pain subsiding as Dani tended to his wounds. He felt rather embarrassed himself when Dani covered up for the commotion through intimacy, answering the door to a bewildered young women who thankfully seemed to understand and left her too it. After a couple of minutes, the Doctor finally began to come around properly, his head complete cleared.

"T-Thank you - Dani..." He mumbled, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder as she applied pressure to one of his wounds. His long fingers grabbed at the clothing as the wound stung, hissing through his teeth. "Donna used to call me a big baby...I can see what she meant now..."
The Doctor kept his hands locked onto the sonic screwdriver, watching as Leander thankfully obeyed his orders and began to make his way to the farmers house. Now, he needed a plan to divert the creature.

However, the Doctor's attention had been too focused upon Leander. As he turned to look back at the Slitheen, he was met with a green clawed hand flying towards his stomach, which connected with a force strong enough to send the Time Lord flying backwards. The Doctor landed with an audible 'thud', letting out a pained yell as he collided with the grass and mud. His sonic flew out of his hand, landing beside him whilst he covered his stomach with his hands. His teeth gritted, he weakly looked up to the Slitheen, which was chuckling threateningly.

"I'll deal with you in a second, old man. You're death will be a great victory for me." It growled at him as it turned and set off towards the house in chase of the young man. The Doctor bit back another yell of pain as his stomach throbbed, feeling bruising already spreading across his skin. A punch like that would have most likely killed a human. He knew that Leander would be killed within seconds if he let the Slitheen get to him. And he had to protect the young boy.

Biting back a wince of pain, he slowly got to his feet, his hands still clutching his stomach. He gritted his teeth as he made it to his feet, nearly forgetting about the sonic as he began to make his way towards the farm house.

"Leander..." He mumbled, walking up to the window to see if he could spot any signs of life. All he needed to find was some-

The Doctor suddenly heard a loud 'bang!' come from inside and then the sound of a body hitting the ground. He ignored his pain and rushed inside.
The Doctor's body was trying to shut down to process the impact of the punches, meaning that the was ultimately at his physically weakest. His head throbbed and his stomach ached from the impact point. He tried to open his eyes, feeling rather embarrassed that he had collapsed on the young girl who he could feel was helping him onto the bed. He attempted to reply, but his head was still raging with blurriness and it came out as a pained moan.
The Doctor saw the lamp hit the Travarian right on the head, making it's female form stumble back a couple of feet off the Doctor and growl viscously, pieces of glass sticking from the flesh that oozed blue blood. The Doctor then heard the familiar American accent threaten the Travarian, the sound of Dani's knuckles echoing over the growling of the angry alien. He knew he had to act fast, otherwise it would simply kill her.

Reaching into his coat pocket with a shaky hand, he plucked out his sonic screwdriver and with all his strength, picked himself up from the floor. He then aimed the sonic at the Travarian through his still slightly blurred vision, spitting out a small mouthful of blood.

"What a-are you doing here on Earth?" The Doctor grunted, trying to not slur his words. "The Travarian race have no reason to be here." As he was speaking, the Doctor made sure that he was directly in front of Dani, forming a protective stance around her. The bulky alien chuckled gruffly, not noticing the blue blood dripping over its eyes.

"We want what is rightfully ours. We desire Earth. We want Earth. The Travarian race will have Earth." It stated.

"Earth isn't yours," The Doctor said simply. "I don't know what you're planning, but you can't hide away in the streets of London forever. Trust me, if it's anything that is a threat to the human race, then I'll have to stop you."

The Travarian laughed yet again, the blood dripping onto the floor from its face. "I don't know who you think you are, old Time Lord. But we will have what we desire. And you wont be able to find us."

And then, in a flash, the female lifted up one of its arms and activated what looked like a metallic bracelet perched on its wrist and vanished in a flash of blue, leaving behind a few drops of its blood stained into the carpet. The Doctor lowered his arm to his side.

"Teleport..." He said. Then, unable to withstand the aching coming from his old body, he staggered forwards slightly, groaning and wincing, before he fell to the floor in a heap.
