Prayer does nothing. Demand change from your representatives. This is the ONLY country where mass shootings are a regular occurrence.

@The Angry Goat The tome is supposed to balance out a mage and not allow them to be nimble/agile AND incredibly strong. Even if you'd like for her to make weapons out of elements, she'd still have to carry a tome.
I'd like it for her to respond to the call, at least; as a mage, why would she eant to help Dramon?
Im feelin like you didn’t read my bio if you’re askin me that.... “What use was ice as a jeweler? And what use was hiding her abilities when she could be of use to others, and rehabilitate magic? When the call from House Caerlight came, she saw her chance to do something real with her abilities, in the service of the very Lord who so feared mages.”
@The Angry Goat Alright, it seems to be a recurring issue that people don't seem to understand properly-- the only catalyst that a mage can use is a tome. There's no other "catalyst" that works in order to create magic.
hrm, wish that had been more clear, carrying a giant book around makes my concept of Pari not work as well as I had wanted... I think at this point then I want to go full spellsword, conjuring weapons and armor out of ice, if that would be acceptable.
How does she come into Dramon's services?
I was operating under the assumption that since House Caerlight put out a call, there would be some sort of grouping up of all who arrived at the start of the RP, and that an explanation of this event would not be necessary in my bio.
Stina burped, and willed himself to focus through the haze of alcohol with the power of Varya (and perhaps a bit of his own ether). "It is our duty to protec-tect the empire; anywhere, any time, any...any...any..." Stina trailed off, forgetting the rest of the sentence. "I am, however, mostly unarmed and unarmored," he observed, noting that his axe, at least, was still attached to his belt. He didn't remember bringing it with himself, and he was glad he had now; with that and a bit of ether, he could probably make up for the lack of shield and armor. He stared off into the distance for a moment, thinking about planning strategy, thinking about the possibility of civilian casualties, then realizing he had no idea what the room looked like.
"What do you know specifically aaa--aaaabout the room? Any back doors, any oth-oth-other ways in? How large is it? and do you have any ether I can use?"
Accidentally got an earworm of an idea so I made her instead of doing my actual homework :V
Name: Pari Arwa Age: 27 Gender: Female Country of Origin: Atrela (Voln) Weapons: Knife – Pari has basic training, and can use it well in concert with her abilities. She is not, however, going to be able to stand up to any well-trained fighter with just her weapon – hell, she’s not even armored. Abilities: Ice mage – Using the water surrounding all of us, Pari is capable of the creation of projectiles, walls, ice slicks, etc. Water vapor allows for creation of small things – balls of ice, darts, ice shields, etc.. with the availability of more water (her waterskin, nearby bodies of water), Pari is capable of much larger projects. She has no control over water in its liquid form, but can change it to ice without effort. While Pari is often capable of sensing individuals due to the water within them, it has not yet crossed her mind that freezing the water in their bodies might be a possibility, and she would be highly unlikely to do so, regardless (but if she becomes demon possessed I’m totally gonna be doing that).
She can create almost no additional ice than the water around her btw; it’s more of a Waterbender (Avatar) vibe than something like Frozone (Incredibles). Appearance:
Personality: Neutral Good//ENFJ//eager//attentive to detail//energetic//helpful//idealistic Pari is, if nothing else a dreamer. She envisions a future where someone finds a cure for Blighted individuals, and mages can once again live free of oppression, openly benefiting the people of Avalon once more. Expect the crushing weight of reality to change her; be it for the better or not.
Short Biography: Pari comes from a line of secret mages dedicated to preserving their art. Her parents began training her in an old abandoned mine when she was 11, finding out what powers flowed through her, trying different catalysts, until ice abilities began to develop, her catalyst at the time an old wand (her father was capable of boosting his sight to amazingly microscopic levels, her mother of a variety of learned spells, mostly cantrips). They taught her old rituals to the Old (or “false”) Gods, in the hope that that would protect her from the demons, as it had for them so far. As she was doing all of this underground, she was also learning how to be jeweler, the family trade. In her work for the family, she eventually came across a chunk of turquoise that she felt incredibly drawn to. Unable to bring herself to refine it, she made it into a ring as the chunk was, demanding of her parents that that become her new catalyst. And so she lived this double life happily for many years. Eventually, though, Pari grew tired with hiding her powers entirely. Both her parents were able to still utilize their magic without drawing any attention to themselves – it fit into their daily activities. But her? What use was ice as a jeweler? And what use was hiding her abilities when she could be of use to others, and rehabilitate magic? When the call from House Caerlight came, she saw her chance to do something real with her abilities, in the service of the very Lord who so feared mages. Her parents, of course, are convinced that this is nothing more than a trap for all the eager young mages like her, and just desperately want her to marry the nice boy from another secret mage family that works in the bank a few blocks down.
The Warden//Episode One//Why do we Even Have These Droids
One of the Shazambots was knocked back by the tree, but the other hit the Warden like a freight train, slamming him into the wall with a loud crunch. He tried to get back up, but the bot shoved him back down. The Warden struggled against it, slowly beating it despite the person it was imitating. "you might be programmed with super strength, but you're still a bot" he grunted as he pushed the robot off of himself, just in time for the other Shazam to slam into him. The bots were working together now, pinning him down by both of his arms. The one holding his left arm began to lay into the Warden, punching him again and again.
But the bots had forgotten something important. He wasn't limited to just his two limbs. all three of his vines snaked out from underneath him and coiled around the punching robot robot. he squeezed it tighter and tighter, crumpling the well built robot like a tin can, then smashing it into the other Shazambot, letting out a roar as he shoved it off of himself and punched straight through it, breathing heavily.
"fuck"
dropping the bots, he wiped his nose, staining his glove with blood as a massive crash from the training room set him on high alert. Snapping back into it immediately, he ran towards the open door, vaulting himself with his vines through the remains of the doorway - and straight into Najee. "Is the situation taken care of? Why are you not big and full of lightning?"
