Prayer does nothing. Demand change from your representatives. This is the ONLY country where mass shootings are a regular occurrence.

Race: Human Age: 67 Gender: Male Appearance: Domhan’s left leg is shorter than his right, and he walks with a limp because of this. Both of his pinkies are missing.
Equipment: weatherproof jacket, waterskin, hardy boots: the only thing he’s really missing is food.
Attunement/enhancements: Earth - his maximum lifting weight is a bit low for human: 150 lbs. his Mana pool is a bit deeper than that of an average human, however.
Unique Ability: Metal Manipulator: Domhan has spent his life perfecting his attunement for space life. He is far more comfortable around iron, steel, lead, and other ores useful to spacefarers than he is around rocks one would find on a planet. Basic unrefined ores carry the residual magic left from the pulse, same as any other rock. Anything that has been processed, alloyed, or otherwise manufactured (I.E. guns, prosthetics, pretty much anything a PC would have) requires him to personally inject a little bit of his own magic into them, human refinement seemingly stripping them of their magic. After this initial contact, he has full control to manipulate these objects from a distance - this includes his favorite trick of removing small vital parts from a gun while leaving it visually intact, such that it blows up on the shooter when the trigger is pulled. Domhan's weapons, of course, are magically attuned.
Close range fighter: Ships can be small, ships can be cramped. You will end up fighting hand to hand; and this plays into Domhan's hand. He has mastered an up close, personal, and dirty style of fighting that incorporates his abilities and his weapons. He is, of course, a bit older at this point and not quite as flexible, but the best of stolen doctors have kept him in prime physical condition.
Personality: Neutral Evil//ISTJ//calculated//thoughtful//patient//ambitious//quick-thinker Domhan sees himself as the best at what he does, and what he does is backstabbing himself to the top. Domhan reads people like a book, and will happily manipulate them without care. He also much prefers talking to fighting.
Bio: A criminal from birth, don’t be expecting any sob stories from this old man: his parents were space pirates, living on a planet near the center of the Milky Way. He grew up surrounded by adventurers, murderers; very dangerous men and women of all types. This was his first important lesson: underestimate nobody. His second was how to fly a spaceship, and his third was how to murder in cold blood. He took all of these lessons to heart, and rose extremely quickly through the ranks of the pirates... too quickly, as it happened. When he was 19, the captain attempted to have him killed, and Domhan was forced to flee with a small cohort loyal to him. He set up his own base a few lightyears away, on a moon orbiting a small trade hub. He made a killing on the black market for 5 years, and learned for himself his own back-channel contacts, refining his negotiating style. Eventually the planet he was abusing was able to call in a larger force from its mother planet to raid the moon; Domhan was unprepared and was captured. Unfortunately for his would-be imprisoners, Domhan was able to escape, people already underestimating his uniquely tailored abilities (the cell was mostly metal, for goodness’ sake!). Domhan, now destitute and without a crew of his own, decided he wanted to take from his old captain the base he had once called home. How to do that on his own? Well... he wasn’t truly alone: his parents had been garnering sympathy for him since his departure, and there were a number of sympathizers to him on the planet. When he snuck back onto the planet, he was able to set it up so that the next day, those few loyal to him would protect him after he assassinated the captain. The next day, after crawling through what felt like miles of ventilation systems, he popped up from the floors and stabbed the captain through the heart before she could react. No one dared to oppose him. Now the top dog, he kept it that way for over forty years; his planned raids constantly successful, assassins all thwarted, booty of unimaginable quantities acquired. One of his best raids was on a Arraxi outpost; he was under the impression that there was a horde of technology and gold there. There was even more than he expected, and their defenses were poor for standing up to his abilities: from this point, he started getting more and more bold with his attacks on the Arraxi, eventually attracting interstellar attention. His information was wrong on the raid, too. Had it been but an hour later, he would have been off scott free. But as it was, here he was, stuck on this stupid fucking planet after being trapped on that horrific ship, the anti-aggression field constantly fucking with his thought processess. A long and hard fall.
Other: Domhan has trained with firearms, and is a decent shot. carrying one, however, is not his style.
@Heckno12@kitty should have everything balanced now, let me know if anything else needs modification
also he's older to match the photo

@The Angry Goat So, other than your unique ability we all agree that you're all set. As far as that goes though, it's going to need a bit of explaining. Like, does he have the ability to outright just manipulate metal? Is there a mass limit? How efficient is it as far as burning through mana goes? Would a mostly metal enemy be totally helpless against him? These are all questions we have to answer for balance purposes.
I was thinking that yeah, if you were all metal you’d be at his mercy, at least at a relatively close range, and that fine manipulation (like the removal of vital parts of a weapon I mentioned) would be relatively difficult, despite his long hours training it. Other than that, max weight liftable around 300 lbs? I’m pretty open to whatever you think is balanced, my goal is just a character who is very good at being sneaky about his magic abilities when he wants to be, and those magic abilities being a unique niche
@The Angry Goat To be honest I think you should leave it out, I was planning on Lyra growing stronger slowly and I cant really imagine that would be possible if the one responsible for her suffering would be around her. Not without killing your character off in some ugly way :)
Plus the whole point of her being imprisoned for her master's crimes wouldn't really make sense if he was imprisoned as well.
@Raylah took the liberty of interconnecting our stories. If you dislike, I can remove it!

Domhan especially enjoys removing small metal parts from people’s weapons without them noticing. He still can and might utilize the rocks on this planet, but it is much less mana efficient for him. Close range fighter: Ships can be small, ships can be cramped. You will end up fighting hand to hand, eventually, and Domhan has mastered an up close, personal, and dirty style of fighting that incorporates his abilities and his weapons.
