Current you can never really tell if a person is looking out from behind their own eyes, or if the eyes are being piloted by tiny mice in swivel-chairs.

Prayer does nothing. Demand change from your representatives. This is the ONLY country where mass shootings are a regular occurrence.

College student at a state college in the American Pacific Northwest. I am studying history to go into an education masters program, and then hopefully go teach high schoolers, also going for a political science minor since I keep taking polysci classes :V . Positive Nihilist, leftie, enjoy in depth discussion of topics/fun tangents, also enjoy being left alone... depends on the day. I also am not a fan of capitalizing the beginning of a sentence. why does it need a capital letter? there's already a punctuation mark before it! (he says as he continues to capitalize the word "I")

Other interests include:
-Overwatch: support/Junkrat main. #freefuey
-Combat Robotics: and if you're like me and are too poor to actually build shit but want to pretend you've made something anyway, check out ARC (http://s10.zetaboards.com/Drowning_City_Forums/index/). /cross-forum plug :V
-also in the vein of robotics, I volunteer through the FIRST (for Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition community. FIRST puts on a lot of really cool robotics based events for schoolchildren, and I do encourage you to check out their events and/or get into volunteering if you're into that sort of thing. it's also a gigantic commitment and probably not as much fun for people who aren't as into it as I am :V . still, go take like 3 minutes to watch this, this shit is so cool! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjDSCT96K2w
-Hearthstone (fuck cubelock amirit I definitely dont love cubelock or anything)
-MtG (and by that I mean I dick around with a group hug commander deck with my friends)
-I play Sheik in one of the Super Smash brothers games but I forget which one. pretty sure it's not melee :V

Elisabeth walked out of the hair salon, admiring herself in its window for a moment. The absolute BEST part about this job was that she was finally able to do something with her hair, now that her identity was more or less just out there - at least out to the people she would have had to worry about before now. She still couldn't believe how much they had been willing to overlook when that SHIELD agent tracked her down and gave her the offer.

She could understand though. She was basically a god. She smiled... she could still see the fear in their eyes - subtle but there. There was no way to restrain her on a regular basis. Sure, they could try chaining her up. It wouldn't go so well for them. Electric shock collars? heh. Couldn't inject anything in her either. Still, she had no plans to turn on them. They paid well, both in fight quality, and in cold, hard cash. The list of people still to be registered included some real fun ones - Wolverine was on there somewhere: apparently the entire X-men team were a problem, there was a team going off to annoy them today. She had different, and much more local quarry to deal with today, however.

A Few Hours later...

Daredevil. The Devil of Hell's Kitchen. Some crazy blind dude beating people up in the slums. Call him what you want, he was one hell of an annoyance. Broke up a drug stint she was hired to protect once. Managed to get spider-man involved. Now that guy was an actual challenge. didn't fight fair with that goddamned webbing tripping her up. He seemed unaware of her powers and let her ramp up before they faced off, and it's the only reason she won - she knew he wouldn't be so dumb next time. Fortunately, he was on the side of Iron Man, so she knew he was really Peter Parker - and had potential outs that way if he switched sides. she shook her head as she headed off into a back alley, climbing up the fire escape of a building now that she was getting towards the slums. When she reached the top of the building, she took off her backpack, taking out her costume.

Her costume supplier really knew what he was doing with the jacket. she had no idea how he got it as durable as it was, and she wasn't gonna question that, for sure. She took off her sweater, and stuffed it into her backpack. Zipping up the jacket of the suit, she took off her jeans to reveal the tights underneath. Pulling her mask over her face, and then fixing her hair in a small mirror, she put on her sleeves and was ready. She'd heard through the grapevine that Bonehead was trying to pull off a stunt at a local bank, and that Daredevil had caught wind of it. It should just be ...three blocks away? And in about 10 minutes.

Force judged the distance between this building and the next. She could probably make it with a running start...

THUNK

Never mind she thought, landing in the alley between the two. She inhaled deeply, the impact from the landing turning her arms aglow. "Ahhhh...." These next few minutes were gonna be a BITCH to wait through now. On the bright side... she dug her hand into the brick siding of the building ...don't need the fire escape to get back up. She made the jump over the next few buildings until she was across from the bank in question, and waited.

A large explosion cued her that something was up, and the flash of a red clad man on another building showed her that her intel was right. Daredevil entered the building through the second floor, and she could see the flash of gunfire a few moments later, quickly stopping as, she guessed, he took the gunmen down. Showtime... she thought, jumping off of that building as well. She landed on someone's car - oops, she thought sarcastically - and walked in through the bank's front door.

The two goons of Bonehead's left in the lobby immediately opened fire on her, the bullets simply hitting her, losing all momentum, and dropping to the floor as she walked towards them. "I'm not your problem," she said, noticing Daredevil coming up from behind them. They turned but a moment too late, his billy club connecting with the head of the first, as he neatly rolled to the second, kneecapping him, knocking the gun out of the man's hand with his knee. He looked nervously towards Force. "My job, could manage it on my own."

"That's not why I'm here," She replied, really wishing he could see her new hair.

"Why then?"

She smiled devilishly. "As an unregistered crimefighter, you are acting in violation of the Fifty States Initiative. as an official operative of the SHIELD organization, I am therefore obligated to arrest you. Lay down your arms and come quietly.

But please don't, actually. I came here for a good fight."

"Thought they'd track me down eventually" he sighed, as he shot his grapnel towards Force. She caught it, and began pulling it towards her. He attempted to whip it out of her hand, but she was too powerful at this point, thanks to the gunfire from the goons. "Should have gotten down here quicker" she smiled as he was forced to let go. She threw away the batons, and he tried to make a break for it. she pointed her hand at him and shot off a quick beam of energy before chasing after him. It hit him in the side with quite a lot of force, and he stumbled for a moment - enough for her to catch up and tackle him.

"you really weren't a challenge," she sighed, as she bashed his face into the floor of the bank lobby. Pulling a pair of handcuffs out of a fanny pack like-pocket on the left side of her costume, she quickly restrained the unconscious man. Walking back across the room, carrying him in one hand, she grabbed his baton, and wrapped it around his legs. Pressing the communicator on her ear, she spoke to SHIELD headquarters. "Daredevil acquired, should be to the meeting point in 15 minutes," she said, beginning the walk towards a nearby warehouse, where a shield prison van should be waiting.
IDK what I'm supposed to be doing here so imma beat up Daredevil and take him to wherever we're imprisoning unregistered heroes :V
Incidentally, if each Warband is meant to be a highly cohesive unit, should we talk a bit about how combat goes? I think of Father Ilya as a mostly stationary, center figure. A sort of offensive support, taking shots and things trying to threaten the group and landing blows when allies manage to break a foe's guard for a second. He'd use his water abilities sparingly, as an emergency shield and distraction to prevent blows from landing him or his warsiblings. Heck, I could see the whole group having what basically amounts to a fanny pack of water on their back for him to utilize.

If we want to talk combat in the common team fighting game terms (tank/offtank, DPS, support/off support), I designed Stina to be the main tank - the one who initiates an attack and has a big shield to protect his buddies.
Yo I posted a CS in the next day or two

Name - Elisabeth Harrison
Alias - Force
Faction - Iron Man (really just a government enforcer at this point)
Race - Mutant
Age - 28
Powers -
Energy absorbsion: if Elisabeth were to take damage from any physical form (punches, fire, explosions, trains), she instead absorbs this energy to empower herself, though it wears out over time rather quickly. I realized on the walk home that this is basically the same concept as Zarya from Overwatch :V
This energy gain manifests physically as she gains in power, starting out with a bit of a blue glow around her hands, then moving next to her eyes, then covering her entire body in a bright blue glow.
-At its most basic form, this ability makes her strong. Ever so strong. The more power she takes in, the more she can dish out. Power wise, if she gets hit with the force of a train, she can then punch with the force of a train, and lift with that force. Relatively simple.
- She can also channel this energy into moderate ranged, second long blasts of energy. This more quickly drains from her pool but gives her a nice ranged option.
-it is worth considering that she is able to pump up her abilities in a variety of ways: from eating large amounts of calories, to slashing her wrists repeatedly with a razor, to jumping off of a building.

Skills – the basic things you’d expect from a capable adult of her age. Also Muay thai, Judo, mountain climbing, and the Bassoon.

Personality - Elisabeth is strong of focus and body: when training in her preferred martial arts or musical instrument, she is in her element, as when she is in combat. She shuns any idea of stealth once the fighting starts, and will generally give her opponent a fair chance to face her and fight on even grounds – whatever weapons they’d like (though this is often as much for her own benefit as theirs, since sneak attacks from her are generally pretty low powered). This feeling of battle honor, however, does not extend to the authorities: she’ll gladly use every dirty trick in the book to beat, kill, or escape their grasps, though that has become a non-issue recently.

In five phrases: Fun Loving – Killer – Relatively level-headed – brusque – aimless

Weaknesses –
-love of combat: fighting is fun, and a good way to get an energy high. While not dumb enough to make a scene out of costume, Elisabeth does strive to be in costume as often as she can – it is her job at this point, anyway.
-constant hunger: Force’s powers give her a constant need to eat, and take damage to sate her hunger (think your stereotypical hungry teenager on steroids). High energy is also rather addictive, and if she is low for long enough she will start to go through withdrawal.
-Hubris: Force, being functionally invincible most of the time doesn’t do wonders for your caution, and Elisabeth was already pretty damned confident. Expect her to easily fall victim to tricks, traps, “dishonorable” fighting, and mental effects (as well as anything else that doesn’t deal direct physical damage)

Appearance - see image. Full costume also includes a latex facemask that covers from her neck to her nose. She wears a necklace that looks vaguely like it might give her powers or something to throw people off, and doesn't wear shoes.

Supporting Characters - probably some SHIELD agents or something. IDK whoever she turned to to get this job
Notes -

Power Grid (1 being below average, 7 being the best possible):
INTELLIGENCE - 2
STRENGTH - 3+ (potentially scaling to infinity)
SPEED - 2
DURABILITY - 7 (physically invincible)
ENERGY - 4
FIGHTING - 4

I think we also like talking to each other :P

Warden takes a break from his computer, wheeling his chair so that he can look out the window. It was endless, the cascade of tragedies - human and environmental. He could only do so much. He was proud of his most recent ventures - he was truly coming into his own as an agent of the Justice League. After solving a string of murder cases in Washington State (some guy merged with an alien symbiote - fortunately, it was sound sensitive, otherwise he would have had no real way to stop it), he traveled to the amazon, and worked on taking down some of the illegal logging operations. He felt kinda bad doing it - these men didn't have a lot of other choices for their lives - but the life of the planet was worth even more than theirs were. Besides, it's not like they'd be in jail for long. Or at all. He grunted in annoyance. He really needed to start going after the corporations; they were the ones encouraging these violations most of the time. Problem is they had protections. Protections that might involve ...extralegal methods... to ensure that they didn't just get right back off stock free.

Sometimes he understood the villains...

His alarm went off, shaking him from his thoughts. Pulling out his phone, he enjoyed David Bowie's "Fame" for a few more seconds before shutting it off. He had gone over Negative Man's list, but it was, as usual, marginally useful at best. The sugar supply was far from the most important issue they had going on. He was far more concerned with the fact that the bots they use for training were dangerously vulnerable targets in the event of a breach of Tower security. It was a weird thought for him to have - usually not that tech minded - but he woke up the other day fully convinced of it. He sighed, grunting as he got up. It was nice to take the morning off after being back for the first time in a few weeks, but it'd be good to get back to business.

He wandered down to the meetingroom, glad to see that near everyone was already there. He leaned against a wall and took up his usual place; on the edge of conversation, listening. He was especially interested in how the new members integrated themselves into the group.
definitely play through a few campaigns before you DM, it gets you comfortable with the stat systems and strengths/weaknesses of different party roles
