3) Characteristics:
Personality:Norsun tends to be wary around most humans due to the secular nature of his clan. Most of his knowledge stems from stories told about the rebellions, with the few meetings due to business with the clan being either the terse payments from employers, or the frantic panicking of those found in sinking ships. those that can get him to open up will often find he is often full of curiosity, a interest in the world he has experienced little of, though he is well aware of his ignorance in many things and will often try to hide it behind a veneer of nonchalance.
Used to work on the boats his family and built his own weapon, which has translated into a love engineering, always curious of new machines and other students weapons.
Can tend to get a little excitable in battle and lose focus of others, focusing on a single target, leaving him open to multiple attackers.
Background:: : Norsun's clan lived on the northern fringes of Vale, preferring to make their homes on the coast and docks close to the ocean, playing clean up for the city. Every so often, aquatic Grimm will attack incoming ships full of cargo and such. As a group specially capable of handling the rigors of underwater exploration, the Draklens have been offering there services to the good people of Vale to salvage what they can from the wreckages, with a ten percent pay of what's recovered, and a $2000 payment for each survivor found and brought back. Norsun was quickly put into the family business at 13 when his semblance came to fruition, his ability to affect the density of objects allowing them to speed up the retrieval. He spent his first few years as part of the retrival crew, every now and again taking "tips" from certain shipments, slowly getting the pieces he need for his weapon from a few of the more military minded shipments. However his life of common familiarity came crashing down the previous year with the emergence of the Inkume. Norsun, his father, and his younger sister were out at sea picking apart a small fishing boat that had gone down to ease his sister into field work with an easy target. It was on the return trip from the sea that they saw the Dust blast, watching in terror as any sign of the world he had known disappeared in a moment. His father progressively became catatonic over the next month as they learned of the events causing the blast, the constant tale of no survivors confirming that his wife and their entire family was now gone. His sister had to stay with his father to take care of him, using the funds the company had to support themselves. Though they had been left with a rather sizable amount, with proper budgeting it would only last them a few years. With this deadline in site, Norsun has begun his journey as a hunter at Beacon, hoping to become licensed in time to support the last of his family, and if the world is to go with a few less Grimm as a result, all the better. Likes: Sister, most of his family, Ocean, engineering, Jet Stream, Raw fish Dislikes: Crowds, his mask, store brand weapons
4) Weapon
Name: Jetstream
Wielder: Norsun "Nor" Draklen Draklen
Maker/Smith:Norsun "Nor" Draklen
Type:Full Discharge Flail Cannon
Weapon Derivation: flails...in general
Form 1: A Large flail 4 feet in length, the head with a radius of 6 inches, three inch spikes protruding from the head spread across the surface, small vents in the head used to expend a battery cartridge of dust. The head can be released from the hilt on a retractable chain spanning 25 ft in length. The base of the hilt ends in a barbed spike, able to be quickly fired to puncture a target and then quickly retracted. The weapon weighs about 450 lbs, with the head housing 12 Dust batteries.
Form 2: The ranged form of the weapon is a long 5 ft cannon, as the head envelopes just below the users elbow, the weight of the head acting as counterweight to the barrel, the hilt expanding to a 3" radius, pure energized dust released from the cannon, each shot expending a Dust Battery. For the moment only designed to handle the four basic forms of Dust. Due to the varied effects of each Dust blast, the barrel adjusts to better handle the shot.
Features/Capabilities: Each form of Dust creates a very specific effect upon release from the weapon.
Fire: Deals moderate burn damage to those in a large are, unwise to use near teammates.
Melee- Creates a blast centered on the head of the flail, normally expanding to a large radius if uncontained
Ranged- Releases a sphere of incendiary energy that explodes, leaving adhesive fire on anything within range of the blast.
Ice: Focuses on locking down targets, making mobility difficult for those affected by it.
Melee- releases a localized blast of ice, leaving a small layer of Ice on targets within 3 meters.
Ranged- Creates a large block of ice upon impact, coating nearby ground in a thick layer of ice resulting in a tricky terrain for those unused to dealing with it.
Air: Used either to position an enemy or get some distance between him and the target.
Melee- upon activation, a localized twister is created, lifting nearby objects into the air.
Ranged- releases blasts of tornado force winds able to take objects and targets barreling away with them. Unfortunately it has a short range, losing force quickly after 50 yards.
Lightning: A more precise form to deal damage with, usually only hitting one target and needing recalibration after use, but will punch through almost any armor.
Melee- Releases a large area EMP in a 100 yard radius, shorting out any modern based tech. Takes out the regulator for Jetstream's regulator to change forms, needing to be replaced after use.
Ranged- Uses a focused charge of electricity to pierce a target, useful for heavily armored or partially concealed targets. Weapon overheats upon firing and can burn user if held onto.
Usage: When the chain is not extended, will often use it like a mace, foregoing and elegance for straight damage. When the chain is out,the handle can be used as a club in his off hand, while he swings the head in a fashion reminiscent of a fire dancers Poi in the other.
Planned/Possible Upgrades: later on allow for usage of mixed dust. Also integrate exhaust ports on the head for controlled blasts of dust to create a pinball effect.
Notes: This weapon is much too heavy for most to ever dream using. Only Nor's use of his semblance allows him to use it. Due to its highly customized state, it requires frequent maintenance to avoid malfunctions.
5) Semblance:
Name:Depth Type: Physical General description: Increases as well as decreases density of himself and what he has physical contact with. Increasing muscle density and Jetstream's leads to devastating strength and thicker denser skin and bones increasing his durability, while decreasing it makes him lighter and more maneuverable. General limitations: The denser he gets, the less agility he has making it harder to evade. Less density leads to weaker strikes and a fragile body. Passive ability(x): Not originally passive, but constant use of Jet Stream has led to him subconsciously making it a manageable weight.
6) Combat info:
Position/Class: Lightning Bruiser
Landing strategy: Will increase his density to toughen his body the point where the landing leaves little more than a few small scratches or bruises, though the landing areas with softer terrain often leave him climbing his way out of a crater. Fighting style: : Will often start a fight at a distance, softening targets up with a shot per enemy, usually getting off 2 or 3 shots, before using the chain on the hilt to attach himself to a designated target, bringing himself close and focusing on that target before switching to the next.
7) Trivia:
Relationships: While most of his family are a part of their salvaging operation, his closest relatives are his Father and Sister- Ivan and Jaquelyn Draknell
Notes: Norsun is a shortened version of the Finnish word Norsunluu which is their word for Ivory.Prefers raw meat to cooked but rarely eats it around company, as it seems to disturb those used to cooked meals. Can breath both on land and underwater. Teeth tend to fallout rather regularly, but will grow back by the next day.

3) Characteristics:
Background: Born into a middle class family, Lan was an inquisitive child, always getting into trouble while trying to learn everything possible. She avoided primary school and instead went through hobbies like clockwork, teaching herself lockpicking and pickpocketing from hanging out with the street kids during school hours. Her father got her into gardening in an attempt to keep her out of trouble, starting her collection of plants off when she was eight years old. The activity helped a little bit, as she would slow down to take care of the plants properly, but she still spent most of her time racing around from interest to interest. Her parents entered her into combat school when she turned eleven, hoping the discipline gained through that would calm her down a bit, and make her less hyperactive. It backfired however, when her Aura was unlocked by a teacher, and her Semblance's passive ability finally kicked in. She suddenly found herself with all that extra time in the day she used to wish she had as a child, and then some. She quickly went through her hobbies at an even faster pace, and the lack of ways to pass time resulted in Lan acting out even further until the teacher that had unlocked her Semblance, a Professor Rost Smith, sat her down for some personal advice. Under his advice, she started taking her hobbies a bit slower, working through them methodically instead of rushing. She has accumulated quite a number of interesting skills, including cooking, sewing, field medicine and machine repair. When she finally graduated from Signal, a slightly less rushed person, though more due to necessity than actually mellowing. Her parents were somewhat grateful, though disappointed in how her semblance had affected her life, and started talking about her joining the civilian lifestyle. Lan refused though, intrigued by the Hunter lifestyle and all the different skills and hobbies available to them, and the fallout between the differing hopes for her future resulted in Lan being estranged from her family. She applied for Beacon not long afterwards. Personality: Energetic, with a buzz usually associated with drinking too much coffee or indulging in a sugar rush, despite never doing either. Irritable at night, but extremely friendly and outgoing during the day, generally. The amount of energy she expresses is susceptable to the seasons and lunar cycles, with more energy during the warm months and less energy during the cold months. Can be unnerving, as her own internal clock and calender have led to her becoming quite adept at tracking other's schedules and daily routines. Like:exploring, learning new skills Dislikes: alarm clocks, downtime

3) Characteristics:
Background:Tsukiko was born into a family strict on academics, however she never enjoyed studying or homework. Not to say she didn't like learning interesting facts. Her mom tutored her and graded harshly. One day when Tsuki was still young, her father introduced her to hand to hand combat. He had once trained to be a hunter, but after meeting Tsuki's mom, he wanted a safer, more reliable job. Tsuki, on the other hand, fell in love with fighting. It soon became the only thing she'd actively participate in. Eventually her home, on the edge of civilization, was ruined. When Tsuki was only 11, Tsuki's father was pressured by the nearby town to join their hunt. The town was hunting by a Nevermore because it was killing civilians. During that hunt her father died, but not without taking the beast down with him. Tsuki was torn. Her father had been someone she looked up to. The town, on the other hand, took his death in celebration and soon started looking at Tsuki as his sucessor. Tsuki's mother hated the idea of her becoming a hunter, so she threw more and more academic work on Tsuki to make her forget, but it never happened. It was only a matter of time before Tsuki came to despise her mother. One day when she was 14, the usual verbal fight turned sour. Tsuki was done with not being able to live her life the way she wanted to. She simply left the house never to return. Now with nothing except the clothes on her back, she ventured to a far city. It had taken 5 days by foot, but she made it. There she learned that faunus like her were looked down on by many people. She lived on the streets for awhile, trying to gather information on what she should do to become a hunter. Tsuki worked odd jobs, trying to earn money to live. She eventually figured out that she needed a weapon, so she started to make blueprints and save money. Tsuki reluctantly admitted that her mother's teachings had helped her in designing her weapon. After working herself to the bone, she finally completed Shuo. By this time she was almost 16 years old. Never using anything, but the best materials for the job, Tsuki had finally taken a step towards becoming a hunter. Eventually Tsuki started practicing with her new weapon. At this point she knew she needed to get into Beacon Academy to become a huntress. There were other schools, but after much research through books, she decided Beacon was the best. After sending her applicaiton, Tsuki started battling creatures of Grimm. It was difficult and a large step up, but she wanted to be ready. When she finally got her letter of acceptance, Tsuki knew that she would do her father proud. Personality:Tsuki is a very relaxed person most of the time. She doesn't try to please others, but is naturally sarcastic and sassy. She is great at getting other people to do work for her on their own will. She's also clever, without putting too much effort into it. School work come naturally to her, so she doesn't study much. However, she has a breaking point. If you ever cross the line with her she can become vicious. She isn't very forgiving once you've cross the line. But since she hates drama, she's very sneaky at her revenge. She also is a very secretive girl in general, you may think you know her, but you don't. During battle Tsuki will instantly change her laid back attitude to lazer focus with quick thinking. Tsuki is also very quick to be suspicious, though she usually hides her suspicion. This is because she has a creative mind, and sometimes spins large stories out of an unsusal occurance. 3) Characteristics:
Background:
Most children that wind up in an orphanage don’t remember being brought there. They grow up, they figure out their situation, and they move on with their lives. Russ was six when her parents decided they had no more room for her in their lives. She sat quietly in the back of the car when they drove away from the house together for the last time, and she watched them drive away when the deed was done. Russ had always been a distant child, but that was the day the bitterness started. In the three years she stayed she made no friends, barely talked to anyone, and judging by the lack of alarm or searching that occurred when she vanished, had left little impression. The only thing that lasted when she ran way was what she’d learned about sneaking around, as the time she didn’t spend socializing she spent exploring after dark. She learned to be light on her feet, to stick to the shadows, and that the good food was always kept where the children weren’t supposed to be able to get to it. At the end, she learned that if it came to stealing from good people or staying miserable and locked up, hesitation wasn’t an option. The money she’d taken from a caretaker’s wallet had gotten her far way, and landed her in a town that was a bit behind in the times, to be delicate. It was a mining town split by salary, the miners and other laborers were relegated to the lower side, and the business folk enjoyed a brighter lifestyle. It was in the lower side she lived for three years, applying what she’d learned to take what she needed from the unsuspecting workers. Then one day she made a mistake, snatching the wallet off of a visitor from the upper side of town and forgetting to ditch it once she’d cleaned out the money. Unlike the workers, the suits could afford the measures it would take to find their money, and with it her. It didn’t take much for everyone to piece together what she’d been doing, and though the business man wanted her jailed, the workers received custody of her trial. Traditional as they were they decided that jail would teach her nothing that physical punishment wouldn’t sear into her mind. Twenty lashes it was, the whip was not barbed nor was it particularly well made, but it bruised and split her back easily enough. When it was finished she was left to hide again, but this time whenever she thought of stealing her back would flair up in pain and she would wander on. Only one person did not shun her, an aging man who owned the local smithy. It was in the upper side of town and she rarely ventured so far, but it wasn’t nearly as fancy as the rest of the buildings there and around. He paid her a better wage than she likely deserved, but work was sporadic enough that some days he could not pay her. Those days he let her test the weapons he made before they were sent out for delivery. Perhaps he was a guardsman in his former years, for he not only made the weapons, but could handle them all with relative skill and instructed her on their uses as if he had done so many times before. Some weapons, like hammers or axes, or the great swords meant to be wielded with two hands, proved too cumbersome and heavy for her to use properly. So it became custom that whenever an order came in for a short sword or bastard sword, she would be the one to test them. In five years she became proficient with them, and when she was seventeen they got an order in for a very specially, and very expensive pair of swords. No mere guardsmen’s weapon, but a hunter’s with the ability to be more than a simple blade. The smith admitted it was the first time he’d ever taken such a project, but he worked on it with confidence and the same steady hands he’d always had. The swords took longer than other orders, and when they were done he set them aside for a month to undergo intensive testing. They were easily the lightest swords Russ had ever handled, and when they changed, the blade’s segments would separate, connected by a thick wire that kept it all connected as a whip of sorts. It was all surprisingly easy to handle. It was then that the town was attacked, and while there was only one Grimm, it met little resistance from the citizens. It rampaged through buildings and citizens alike until the hunters and huntresses appeared and quickly dispatched the beast. When the dust settled much of the town had been ruined, and Russ crawled from the rubble of the workshop to find the smith crushed beneath its debris, choking out his last breaths. He asked her to take the swords and deliver them to the hunter, so that he might help prevent something like this from happening in the future. Russ assured him that she would, and left before he truly expired. She did not keep her promise, and she could not convince herself she ever intended to. When she left the town she did mean to stop Grimms from killing people, but it would be by her hand, not some stranger’s.
Personality: Russ can be outgoing and friendly, quiet and reserved, whatever is necessary for the time at hand. When at rest, she has a habit of sizing people up like living blueprints, looking for flaws and weaknesses, even if she has no intention of abusing them. She’ll casually lie in conversation every now and then, more as a hobby than as a means to an end, and isn’t the type to keep secrets to herself if it’ll benefit her. Under the dishonor there is loyalty however, usually garnered through respect, as well as a living if not crippled sense of morality. Russ might steal from a dying man, but she’s not about to burn down an orphanage for a profit. Likes: Money, gullible people, one-on-one conversations Dislikes: “The strong, silent type”, being out-cheated, being cornered
4) Weapon
Name: The Twins Maker/Smith: Umberil Highgad Weapon Derivation: Long Sword/Short Sword/Chain Swords Holstered/Sheathed Appearance: A round sheath with a layer for the short sword and a layer for the bastard sword. It is designed so that the blades curl up within, saving space and allowing for a quick draw with extended reach. The handles are meant to be grasped over the shoulder. Form 2: Blades of each extend, allowing for extended lashing attacks Features/Capabilities: Dual segmented chain swords, styled as a short sword and a Long sword with Pneumatic propulsion. The long sword's steel is infused with green dust, extending its long reach with biting wind. 5) Semblance:
Name: Speed Vault Type: Physical General description: The storing and redistributing of force generated by momentum General limitations: Not meant to be used offensively, if Russ hits someone with a high-momentum punch, she’s going to feel it just as much as they do. Cannot redirect the momentum of heavy projectiles. Visual effect: The color fades from her eyes entirely during the duration of its use. Passive ability: Russ has a keen sense of balance from years of possessing the ability. Active ability: While active, Russ passively stores the force from her movements and from things she touches that are in motion. Upon usage, she redirects the force in order to quickly change directions, slow down and speed up.
6) Combat info:
Position/Class: Skirmisher Landing strategy: Redirects her momentum to soften the landing before impact. Fighting style: Fast paced and tactical, Russ prefers cutting an enemy a thousand times safely over a risky all-or-nothing attack. She dodges more than she blocks, and her attacks are usually slashes to sensitive areas, learned preferably prior to the fight, but if she has to do it on the spot, she can adapt.
7) Trivia: Has gone by “Russ” as long as she can remember, not fond of using her first name.
Gonna take a bit longer to start posting, gotta pick up my sister from the airport -_-
we should probably come up with a post order for the battle atleast since it's like 5:1 on the post in the last collab involving honey and Kani to Turner and Nor which kinda defeats the purpose of a collab
Gonna go ahead and let you know probably going to go through with his idea regardless, seeing as honeys not a leader quite yet, and he tends to get set in his ideas :P
Yello shadow,me and phantom started a collab last night and basically got as far as we could, so if ya wanna write something up now, the link is in my last post. Might be a bit before me and phantom can jump back n though, think he's sleeping
