"Then we must start making some friends to ensure that we keep our newly found territory safe."

Name: Espacio De Vida (Contains the modern day nations of Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua)

History: (Real life history up until this point.) In 1945, the Mexican Government seized the opportunity presented by the end of World War II to launch a military operation in Guatemala to take control of the country. After a brutally swift offensive that remains in the minds of the populace to this day, the Guatemalan military was crushed at the decisive battle of Coban. The country was fully annexed shortly after.

Using his success in the Guatemalan campaign as the jumping off point for his political career, renowned General Lopez Doroteo was elected president by overwhelming majority. This led to the military drafting Operation Living Space, deciding to expand Mexican influence in Central America by conquering their smaller neighbours. To this end, Mexico signed a secret back room deal with El Salvador, promising to help them expand their influence by attacking Honduras to draw military efforts away from their Western border, where El Salvador would attack.

Mexico went through with the plan, launching an invasion of Honduras in 1946. Once El Salvador commenced their invasion, another invasion force was dispatched into the territory of Mexico's former ally, attacking both nations at the same time. By the time El Salvador and Honduras had hastily signed a cease-fire and moved their full force to counter the invasion, it was too late. They both fell in late 1946.

Mexico wasted no time, invading Nicaragua after re-building their strength. Unlike the other wars, the Nicaraguan campaign was hard fought and took much longer. The long and bloody war started to cause Lopez's popularity to slip, so he decided to visit the front lines and personally command the campaign. After Lopez became involved on a deeper tactical level, the Nicaraguan defense started cracking, eventually falling in 1948.

Not wanting another conflict to stain his reputation, the Lopez Government issued an ultimatum to Belize. Surrender, or have the Mexican military destroy everything, creating a large chunk of uninhabited land to be rebuilt later on. Belize surrendered and were peacefully absorbed into Mexico's sphere of influence. With the operation completed, Mexico was renamed Espacio De Vida following a referendum across all territories.

The voice roared through the chamber, ringing in the heads of the council.

When they had finished reciting their leader's name, the minds of all those in the chamber were perfect still, not a single thought in the minds of the council.
