Ohh....
This is a major setback. Not to mention that it would also strain my already precarious relationship with Azvanor.
Not to worry, my plan would still work.

On another note, how likely is my German conquistadors going to make contact with Khan?
I felt old when my friend told me that a boy from his block didn't know what a cd was.
I'm only 19 dammit. :(

Just a quick note after skimming through on my phone...John the people of Dont are Aznavarian, they are angry about having alliance leaders and close alliance relations, next ti none of its people are going to happily move to the alliamce, you are going to have to take them by force or suffice with the minuscule number of workers you would get.And Kangaroo, if you post a recruitment campain plus some money I will tell you how succesful it is. Roughly 1billion will get you between 100 and 1000 rregulars.

But they still need work.
People who need work and are being offered 'good jobs' wont need that much encouragement to make them work.
Besides, at least their being treated better by the alliance. :p
I see a very profitable unfortunate war looming in the horizon.
It's cool.
I might place my nation on the Southern part, just a heads up.
I'll finish it by tommorow.
I hope you guys don't mind me doing a bit of exploring in Aventia.
They'd probably get killed by natives though. :(
It had been a year since the alliance struck a deal with President Von Kliebb of the Dont Republic. Dont citizens who are unemployed were now flocking into the alliance's lands, looking for new opportunities. Most became mine workers, working in the mining towns across the alliance's lands. Traveling was not easy for this people, as the winding roads that lead up and down mountains and the thick forests could easily mislead the most well-versed travelers of the area. Each duke of each duchy had assigned special divisions of their armies, known as the North Pine Guards, to direct this people, protect them and keep the peace and the routes from bandits and other sorts of unsavory characters that disrupts the order of the alliance. Of course if any of the Dont citizens were caught breaking the alliance laws themselves, they too would face the consequences of their actions. This punishments range from being thrown back to Dont without their belongings (if they even have any to start with) to being hanged, which was reserved for only the most heinous of crimes such as murder. Those who found jobs were paid fairly, enough to feed themselves and the families that they brought with them. Their children would grow up with the children of the alliances. They are slowly being emerged in the alliances culture. This young generation may prove useful to the alliance, as when they grow older and return to Dont, they would form a large number of the Dont society who would be loyal to the alliance. As of now though, the nobles and the aristocratic parliaments of the alliance are content with the riches they would soon gain from the mines. This still wasn't enough to quench their thirst for more although and their greed would lead them across the open ocean.

Recently there are rumors spreading that on the far off continent of Aventia, there is a society that has been untouched by Edorinians. This kingdom, or empire, or barbaric tribes may have goods that the alliance may be interested of. Of course, virtually nothing is known this people and to successfully trade with people, you must know quite a bit about them. Relationships, even small ones, such as sending envoys to exchange cultures, was vital. That is why the alliance has decided to send a small expeditionary force to explore the lands of Aventia, confirm the existence of this mysterious people and to determine whether Aventia is suitable for colonization of the duchies. The man leading this expedition is Sir Fredrick Von Gartnerr, the descendant of the Phillip der Eroberer who almost conquered the four duchies under the Nollish banner. The alliance has also commissioned 10,000,000,000 Alliance Marks worth of supplies for them to accomplish their mission. Sir Von Gartnerr, 25 scribes, 25 explorers, a small number of priest and a small fleet have been sent from the port town Jesper to explorer the new world and determine whether it is profitable enough for the alliance to invest in it.

*****
TL;DR

The alliance has commissioned an expeditionary force including nobleman Sir Von Gartnerr, 25 scribes, 25 explorers, a small number of priest and a small fleet to explore Aventia. The Alliance has spent 10,000,000,000 Alliance Marks for their supplies. Their goal is to make contact with the rumored people of Aventia, finding any profitable resource on the continent, explore the lands in general and determine whether the lands is suitable for colonization of the alliance colonist.
Do you guys still have room for one more? Seems really interesting.
Mind if I have a crack at this?
Also, my nation would be like most of the South-East Asian countries at the time who fought their invaders largely through guerilla warfare. Hope's that fine.
I don't really plan on starting the opium wars if I do find poppies. If anything, it would be my people who would get hooked on the stuff.

Maybe I could instead start a Philippines-esque colony instead. Seeing as I'm Filipino, it should be perfect fpr me. Funny how the Germano-Scandanavians colonize it though. xD
