Hevish, Corleonn

With Duke Kollin II still gone, overstaying his trip in Azvanor, Duke Hemmlar V has been appointed the temporary head of the alliance in Duke Kollin II absence. Duke Kollin II himself has sent a letter to the other members of the alliance council to proceed with the negotiations without him for he had to attend to other 'pressing matters'. The alliance members were then forced to converge on the mountain-top fortress of Hevish. The journey towards it was almost impossible and it was difficult to trek the long winding dirt paths that led to it. The snow was beginning to melt and the dirt paths were beginning to get dangerously slippery. The horses climbing up the path had top be handled by professional guides who knew the route well and had to, at times, calm the animals if they didn't want to fall off the cliff. At the top, a welcoming party was ready to receive the visitors. Some workers were preparing to lay down some gravel on the road so that the trip below would not be as dangerous or even more so. Duke Hemmlar V along with his adopted son, Sir Karl August, were among the those of the party. This meeting among the members were to discuss the dire incident that was happening in Dont. Its neighbor has seceded to rebellion, to nobody's surprise, and most of their men, along with Dictator Lipeche II, was trapped in the capital of Nacer. The alliance men anticipated this, although they did not thought that it would be as devastating as this. The men came, the ceremonies were held and they were quickly rushed to the conference chamber where they were provided an excellent view of the mountain slope winding down to the valley below. They all took their seats and were handed their refreshments. Duke Hemmlar V then spoke.

"Gentlemen, I'm sure you are all aware of what's happening in Dont?" Hemmlar asked. The rest of the men could only nod.

"Now I do not wish to waste our time, that is why I would present my proposal and we shall take a vote whether to commit to it or not. If anybody has any better plan, speak after I have done so. Recently, my men captured Von Kliebb trying to make to the town of Baliche south of this town. I have him under my custody. We exchange him with the safe passage of our men from Dont to alliance lands."

"What if they refuse, seeing as we have 'borrowed' a lot of their citizens for our mines." Sir Coppish asked.

"Their will for independence from Alliance 'tyranny' is only matched by their lust for vengeance. They will see to it that Von Kliebb is to be hanged at all cost. All we ask is for our soldiers to return home safely, along with any Dont officials who would like to join us."

"That reminds me, there are those who would like to seek quarters in Nollin. Dont soldiers who are still loyal to Von Kliebb I think." Duke Ollisius said, remembering this fact.

"Let them in as long as they change allegiance to our cause. Men with training in the art of warfare are always welcomed here." Duke Hemmlar V answered. "Well gentlemen, we all have our jobs to do, may Altaiya help us all."

High Priest Gahlem Hahkim cleared his throat in preparation for the early morning prayers. He opened his Qureem, the holy book of Ismum and turned the pages to the pages were the prayers of the Ismum faith were written. The old man, who was into his mid-80's, traced his fingers and eyes across the scripture and read the prayer into a copper mouthpiece. The high priest was boarded on a helium airship with gold decorations throughout its hull. The sails were made out of interweaving cotton and the helium bags were made too of cotton coated with the sap of the Bahtar plant to keep them safe from fire. The flag of Fahtamis flew on either side and the bust of a head of a lion made out of gold was on the tip of knell. Its hull was painted white and it casted a great shadow on the city below. The top deck where also fitted with two copper speakers. Through this speakers, the voice of Hahkim were heard all throughout the city. As he recited the prayers with a bit of melody, which almost sounded like he was singing, the people below were all in Mosquirs, praying as well. The few remaining people on the streets were city guards who were excused from their prayers by the clergy and foreign merchants who did not follow the faith of Ismum. The high priest finished his prayers with the short ending prayer and the national motto of Fahtamis, 'Kharum(God) give us guidance and strength'. As the Hahkim finished his prayers, he was approached by a crewman informing him that he was being called by the Sultaness herself. He nodded and thanked the crewman. He then prepared his belongings as he prepared to depart the ship. It took a good hour or so before the ship landed on the royal courtyard of the royal palace.

As Hahkim walked through the long winding hallways of the palace, he noticed a crowd gathering in front of the main palace itself. He saw another of the High Priest, Yapeq Am-Bahlatta, walking from the direction of the commotion.

"What's happening out there Yapeq?" Hahkim asked.

"A spy, sentenced to be hanged today." Am-Bahlatta answered.

"Solaran?" Hahkim followed with another question.

Am-Bahlatta simply nodded. The hatred between Fahtamis and Solaris was becaming dangerous according to Hahkims observations. A small misunderstanding now could cause a war between the two nations and Fahtamis has no allies to rely on if a war does break out. They made their way to the doors of the throne room and waited there until called forth. While waiting, Am-Bahlatta and Hahkim were met by the three other members of the Council of the High Priest of Ismum. High Priest Jorem Am-Kahleem, Rameq Fahkaq and Malis Damarah greeted the two other high priest. They were followed by the advisers of the Sultanesses. The doors were opened and they made their way to the Sultanesses throne. At the large marble throne sat Sultaness Sofia Kalrahya and his husband and price, Pahtir Kalrahya sat by her side. The klopeq that surrounded her also masked a great majority of her head, all that could be seen was her face. The young sultaness, who was only 18, and her husband younger by 2 years, had a look of utter anger in their faces. Hahkim knew why she was very displeased but let her advisers speak out first before he asked any questions.

The five advisers kept their heads low, fearful of the Sultaness's wrath. The Sultaness spoke with an angry tone.

"Where is Taleer?! I thought his capture was imminent!"

One of the advisers, a noble man Qahbid Hasanah, answered first. "He had hired mercenaries to ambush the party we sent to capture him. We did not expect this, we thought that his funds had ran low and he wouldn't be able to pay men for his protection."

"Useless! All of you are useless! Where is he now?!" The sultaness shouted.

"We have no idea you highness. He escaped the watchful eyes of my spies, but he must be heading for the frontier lands. This may be the only place he could find sanctuary."

"You have all failed me! I want the man captured at all cost!" The sultaness again answered by shouting. Prince Pahtir held out his arm and placed them on the shoulder of the infuriated sultaness. This did little to calm her down.

"Then might I suggest something my liege." Allad Sahkam, a commoner adviser of the queen spoke. "We should put a bounty on the man's head. This would be easier than sending our own men to catch him."

"Very well." The Sultaness said. "Have my scribes ready a letter to be sent across the land."
Well, my nation's basics are mostly done. Just have to put in the uniform, ranks and weapons used by my military.

Also, Usurper King, check out my nation's history and tell me what you think.
Sorry about the weak post, the power company would be shutting down power lines here any moment now and I had to rush my post.

Also .
Take care on the open seas mates.
The cold blizzard storms were now appearing on the alliance skies. The dark clouds, unforgiving, cold winds and the thick coat of snow that was laid on the ground meant that the alliance may be facing one of the worst winters it has seen for a long time. The winter of 1445, also known as the winter of the wicked, killed off more than 10,000 people during the old days. This one may be worst, as the said winter was not accompanied by a sharp recession. The alliance can only hope that it's farms and storehouses have enough food to last them through. But the four duchies are known for their resilience. If the Sofon dominion hadn't broken them before during their uprising, a little snow wouldn't either. Most prayed to Altaiya for safety and food during this trying times. The nobles however, could hardly care about the outside world as they continue to delight themselves inside their homes. The heads of the alliance however, had much to worry. Not only do they have worry about the terrible winter that has arrived, they also have the current issue with Bennipolis. The current reports from the expedition force are very promising, even reports of a new substance that induces a feeling of extreme pleasure when smoked. The nobles needed it and the merchants demanded it. The new decree from one of the one of Bennipolian royal families or the sorts. Thus the alliance men sent a message to Bennipolis herself.

In addition to this, the alliance is now spending five million Alliance Marks in the hiring of privateers, pirates under the contract of the alliance, to disrupt the trade of supplies between Bennipolis and her colony. This privateers are free to act on their own but are ordered to stay clear of Alliance and Azvanorian ships. The loot they collect from their ventures are to be sold back to the alliance.
Technically, I'm dealing with slavery too....
