Sentinels of The Multiverse
Introduction
In this world there are many superheroes as well as villains. One of the greatest heroes in this world is the Patriotic hero Legacy. For many years his arch nemesis Baron Blade has tried time and time again to finally kill the hero, but every time Legacy has overcome the villain with his incredible strength and near impenetrable skill. Now the mad scientist has come up with a terrible plan, which is to pull the moon into the earth with TerraLunar Impulsion Beam.
Paul Parsons seeing the threat has gathered together a group of heroes to combat the Baron and his Blade Battalions. Can the Sentinels stop Baron Blade before the world is destroyed? That is for you to decide.
This roleplay is based off of the Sentinels of The Multiverse superhero card game. I plan for this to be very team oriented, meaning that teamwork is important in order to victorious over the villains. I will be using the supervillains from all of the expansions to the game so we won’t be running out of threats to combat anytime soon, but I am perfectly fine with getting story suggestions.
Rules
I am fine with original characters, but please do not make them over powered.
No god-modding.
No arguing in the OOC
I want dedication so if you wish to join then I expect you to make at least a couple posts a week.
Be respectful.
No killing other players’ characters.
I will allow auto-hitting, but it can’t be excessive or fatal hits and it can’t be against player characters.
No one line posts.
Good grammar.
For now you can have a max of two characters.

One of the things I have seen that has been a reoccurring problem in superhero rps is the scale of a character's superpowers where one hero is overpowered and has too many powers with little to no drawback. I have come up with a system which can offer freedom for people to have a character with a wide array of powers, but also not have their hero become OP. How this system works is that the more powers you have the weaker they are, for example if a character just had superhuman strength for a power then I would allow that character to have the strength to lift well over a hundred tons. But if you have character with super strength and several other powers then I would only allow them to lift at a max of twenty to thirty tons. This system will apply to all kinds of powers so while you may want to have a versatile character with many different abilities, just know that their powers will be weaker compared a hero with a singular power. The reason I am doing this is because defeating villains in this roleplay is meant to be a team effort and not just the work of one hero. This system does not apply to skills and gadgets, but don’t go overboard.

It didn't take Adam long to spot John's home in the distance as he quickly headed towards the address that his gantlet had given him. He soon came to the small house that John was living and he walked up the front step to the door. He wasn't sure how his old partner would react to him trying to bring him back into Adam's world. There were reasons for him leaving it and Adam felt guilty having to disturb John's peace.
He knocked on the door and after about a moment of waiting John answered the door and came face to face wih Adam.
"Somehow I knew you would come by my doorstep someday, how's it been Adam" John asked.
"It's been not very good, in case you stopped watching the news things have gotten out of control with the whole terrorism and anti human and anti meta-human sentiment. everything seems to be falling apart, which is why I need your help" Adam replied.
"I haven't been working for the government for several years and I don't see very much of a motivation to start up again any time soon” John said to him.
“I know that you don’t feel any love or loyalty to the government and the nation right now, but things are getting worse and more people are going to die unless we stop what is happening” Adam responded.
“And tell me why I should care? I lost everyone that I cared about and now the country is sharing the troubles that I have had going in my mind for a long time. I don’t see why you need my help.”
“Because you’re the best soldier that I know right now and I am begging you to help me as a partner and an old comrade” Adam replied sincerely. John thought for a moment and then gave his answer.
“Alright Adam, I’ll help you just this once, but we will do things my way and I don’t want to hear any opposition to how I fight or killing, got that?”
“Yes of course, thanks John” Adam said with a smile and they left John’s home to head back to the base. Once they got back to the base, Adam introduced John to the others.
“Everyone, this is John Morrison, he is my old partner” Adam said to them.
“Please just call me Mountain Lion” John said to them.

But hulk and Sentry as well as Jean Gray are all insanely powerful and yet they are still considered great characters. Superman has more weaknesses than most super strong Marvel heroes, I think the op argument is flawed because most people like a character that would be considered opIssue i have with Superman is that he's OP, and being OP is lame.I'd rewrite the character to not be so lame.I think he is way cooler than most superheroes, and he's a better person
