Adam was glad that his negotiation had made the man believe them to be allies and not foes. The commander led them into the village and once in Warpath noticed that there were foreign soldiers gathered around. They were Russians, it looked like Russia really was an enemy of America and supported terrorism. As they went deeper into the village they noticed more Russian soldiers and this made Adam suspicious, they had to be hiding something if there were this many soldiers being used to guard one village. Unfortunately they weren't allowed to go near that part of the village and the commander informed them that they would be shot dead if they went near the area without authorization.

"Can you tell us what exactly is over there? It seems strange to have so many guards for one small village and I've been in enough battles to know that it's important to know you're environment and every detail" he said to the commander. Mountain Lion remained silent and let his eyes wander around to get some idea of how many soldiers there were and what kinds of weapons they had. Being surrounded by so many hostile forces made him on edge and his fur bristle up a bit.

He didn't like being around his enemies and decided that it was best to remain silent, which would help keep his nerves under control.

@Mass City
finally a chance to let Warpath use his hand to hand combat skills
Adam knew that they were in trouble even before Fenrir spoke to them and decided to take the Wolfman's criticism with a very calm demeanor. Warpath's knowledge of philosophy and warfare told him that he had gone a little overboard with winning. Almost every military genius knew when to retreat and cut their loses, but he had wanted to win very badly to the point where he became reckless. Warpath didn't expect Poltergeist to go too far with his attack, and Stalwart was unable to break free of Quantum's gravity, which was too bad since he had hoped the hero was up to the task, but it looked like he was out of the Outsiders. It seemed Stalwart so far was the only member that seemed to like him.

They had gotten some new members, which was good since some new recruits could bring something interesting to the table. Ashley Hendrick was one who had great potential and he wanted to help her if she would be fine with it. He himself had been pushing himself even harder than ever when the training session had gone bad, he was focusing on increasing both his energy, mental and phsycal capabilities as much as possible, he was trained by the military and knew better than to question about having limitations.

After a few weeks Fenrir had informed them that they would be going on a mission to combat the infamous League of Shadows, an organization known for horrible acts of terrorism. Before joining the outsiders Warpath had a couple of violent encounters with the league and they were incredibly formidable. What bothered Adam the most was Fenrir seemingly brushing off their questions about the mission, he never liked going in blindly on a mission.

Regardless he wasn't going to question his leader's words about times having changed even though Adam had read enough history to know that words like those could have dark meanings behind them. When he heard Fenrir ask if they had anymore questions Warpath remained silent and rolled his eyes when Twilight opened her mouth. He would never let her become his superior she would rub it in his face and no leader should have those qualities. Warpath hoped that he would get a chance to do some hand to hand combat during this mission since he hadn't really gotten a chance to yet. He was a master of over a hundred different martial arts.
Adam watched as they were stopped by a road block with a bunch of guards and saw that they had heavy weapons aimed at their vehicle. It would be unwise to to go out guns blazing and possibly get them killed.

"What do we do now?" Mountain Lion asked him as he cracked his knuckles.

"We try the diplomatic approach, I'll talk to them and see if I can them believe that we are metahumans working for the Islamic State. if things go sour then I want you to attack them as quick as possible" Adam instructed and John nodded. Adam stepped out of the vehicle and spoke them in Syrian. Mountain Lion followed not too far behind. He heard some of the men give whisper of nervousness.

"We are new recruits for the Islamic State's metahuman soldiers, we were hoping to find a place of recruitment. As you can see we are very skilled in the arts of combat and killing, we will gladly take the chance to take up arms against the west" he said to them, hoping that it was convincing enough to get them past the roadblock.
sorry about the wait, but I won't be able post until tomorrow, my schedule was weird this week.
finally posted, sorry for the wait.
Mountain Lion was never really a fan of flying, being in an airplane was too cramped and prohibited his ability to move around. For the entire trip he felt unnerved and almost skittish, he wanted out of the plane and his claws would instinctively come out and scratch the arm of his seat. He was very pleased when the trip was finally over and he didn't have to stay in that terrible vehicle any longer.

The trip on the ground was much for exciting for John since it was filled with far more dangers and felt himself becoming eager to fight. Once at the border of Jordan and Syria, the person driving them informed them that from there would lie nothing but danger for them and asked if they had any second thoughts. Mountain Lion smiled and almost laughed at the question.

"I would be bored if there wasn't any danger" he replied and then looked at Adam to see if his partner had any second thoughts.

"I've been in plenty of dangerous situations and I have come out of all of them alive. I have duty to the peace and sanctity of my country to do this mission, but thanks for your concerns" Adam said as he looked over the border and into Syria. The two of them began to walk into Syrian territory.
Bolt was drinking in a bar somewhere in the city that had not been touched by the aliens and he wondered how he up his game as a mercenary. His downing his fifth mug of vodka when an idea came into his mind and he liked what it was.

"Ah ha! a team of mercenaries is what I need, metahumans who are willing to go on dangerous and destructive missions for money and glory" he said to himself as he finished his last bit of liquor and then set out to gather other bad guys for his team.
I'm still here, sorry I've been really busy
