So, I'm not trying to make any assumptions about where we're going with the RP, but I'm just gonna urge you not to rush anything Kish. You alluded to "something big" in that collab, but there's still plenty of plot and development to be had right now in Sovereign. In the original, lots of people were forced to rush development to keep up with you sending the military full-force. Don't start killing off important people and initiating any final battles or anything dude. Chapter one needs time to get things going for real.

Just me being paranoid. I have stuff I wanna do with Weston and would rather not rush it.
So do you have a general focus planned for the RP? The show heavily focuses on political interaction and discovery of the Elder Tale-ified world's laws. Since there's so much canon info not known, what direction did you want to take this?

Actually, I reread the post and realize I completely misread the first time. Originally I thought Hayami had slowed to a stop before hitting the ground, rather than sticking to a wall. I'll buy that Electro-Gorilla took over for a moment or something and go with it. My main issue was that going magnet before hitting the ground would actually make the fall worse, but I simply misread. All is well.

Gonna call bullshit on Greengoat's part of the collab:

Electromagnets...

In order to make Hayami a magnet, she'd have to be a good electrical conductor (assuming she is since she uses electricity as a power) and sent a current in a spiral around her body, which is far out of her range of control. Even then, she wouldn't just repel the metal: the other "pole" of her magnetized self would be attracted to it and flip her over, throwing her harder against it. Have you ever held a strong magnet against a fridge on the repelling side, then let go? It flips to the other side and sticks to the fridge.

So, I'll explains Sam's situation..He has been in a coma, in the forest, for this entire year. He survived by taking spirit out of the Life strings passively. Not enough to directly effect an individual, because he was taking a small amount from many strings, but enough to keep him alive. His kage warded his body and mind from decay during this time. That is all I can tell you for now because Sammy boy has some inner plot to go through before you know the rest.He has amnesia, however whenever he needs a specific memory, it returns to him. (will reveal why with time)Back in the day he was an information broker who ran a vast information empire. He was one of the best. Mathias's personal friend and partner. (Sam doesn't feel the friendship connection emotionally anymore due to the amnesia) He is also schizophrenic, highly paranoid, and has the biggest ego since Charley Sheen. He has control issues, and does not deal with disrespect well. Basically me and Lost decided it believable for him to have researched into Ik, enough so that he has some very interesting information about him (none of which he remembers, except the one I mentioned).Ik rose to power really fast, people wanted to know how, so Sam found out. Knowing things was good for business.I am using this strategy for his past because it lets me uncover his life slowly, and sync it up with his changes as a character. It is one of the reasons I explained nothing about him in the prologue other than he likes tea and fine wine.

See, and that's sorta what I meant by not relying on CSs. If I can't gather enough information to understand the character adequately through IC, then there's not enough information given IC. This isn't really a complaint , since I'm pretty sure you're trying to gradually introduce information through IC. However, it's a good example of my point since you had to outright explain him OOC.

Okay, so there were legitimate complaints about this stuff? Okay, cuz I thought you were going Sage mode over observations alone. Did you PM/talk to the people being complained about to make sure they know the Sage Mode is directed toward them? If they're oblivious, making general statements is sorta pointless. If you did, then awesome GMing bro. I'm glad you're being proactive and stuff.

I think it best if you revieled it IC, in your own time.

And this.

Alright, Sage Mode activate:I hate to call meta game since it was a collab, but I wanna talk about preserving the character IC and leaving OOC knowledge out of it. My first concern is knowing about one another and reacting to one another's presences. When I judge how appropriately/how good you guys roleplay, I do it based on character sheets. So far, Iktomi (excluding kage powers) should be the most scary, badass mothahfuckah out there, since I approved it. The only other characters that I would expect to meet him like that and not at least feel NERVOUS let alone SCARED are Ariela (cuz she a freak), Victor Esteves (cuz he's too boss), Ishigo (cuz batman), and that's probably it. Even Arianna was nervous when she met this fucker - and he's like her childhood friend. It's kinda like the worst flavor of metagaming: your character is a total badass, fearless, super clever mahfuckah that isn't afraid to fight JUST BECAUSE YOU KNOW ITS JUST A ROLEPLAY. Secondly, I'm going to assume Lost let you guys "know about" his character. If he didn't, then DON'T do that. Just making this clear, I'm not accusing. Reading that collab made me remember that I forgot to make this point before. Basically, I accepted Iktomi's CS and it included how he was a super secret underground mahfuckah. BY READING HIS CS IN REAL LIFE, YOUR IC CHARACTER DOESN'T SUDDENLY ABOUT IKTOMI. A good way to go about this would he either ask Lost (which I'm assuming is what happened since it was a collab) or PM a GM to review CS's and determine if yor character's knowledge would be plausible. Nah mean? Lastly Character interactions should be things BOTH players agree on. If Joe doesn't agree to Bob suddenly exploding everything and killing his grabdma's dog, then you know what Joe does? He contacts a GM! He describes the situation and the GM will settle it out. I want to enforce this now because eventually... Believe it or not...Niggas gon die. And believe it or not... It might be a player trying to kill another player! So either agree on it, PM a GM, or I turn this into a table top roleplay with stats and shit. And remember: NONE OF YOUR CHARACTERS ARE PERFECT EXCEPT FOR FRUITSTAND. ROLEPLAY FLAWS TOO! CHARACTERS GET SCARED, MAKE MISTAKES, etc.

So regarding this, I think the best solution is to not rely on CSs at all. When you write, make sure you flesh things out enough to where people don't HAVE to read your CS to get everything. If you're interacting with another player ask them for information about the character instead of the CS. I know a big thing you point out in the OP is "USE CSs" Kish, but reliance on them seems to be a problem.

Also, all this stuff you're ranting about is presumably in a collab... that Lost was part of. I doubt he'd let people know things about Ik he didn't want them to if he was part of the the collab.

Ah Fruitstand, you will be remembered...
