This site constantly going down is really getting on my nerves
lmao watch 6 out of those 7 be mercenaries with invisibility powers :)
No your completely missing the point. Your still interacting with others. Uuuugh.... I tried but its obvious that if your not doing everything exactly like every other RP its wrong and scary... I'm done trying to help. I gave my opinion based on my own assumptions, guess that wasn't enough.
I don't think you understand. Your creating a character based solely on either relying or being reliant to others. In the real world, were you born to serve your brother or sister? No. Everyone has their own path, agenda, life goals. Creating a character that helps others in hopes of getting help finding his parents murderers is like gowing to a waterpark in hopes that others will teach you how to swim. Its just backwards.

Its not that you want to interact with other players, its that your building a character just for that very reason
Truth be told the GM is gm for a reason. He has an idea in which he wants to impliment in a world of his choosing that WE suppliment and help create. I'm assumming he still has an ideas for all our characters to react to and will eventually get together one way or another to accomplish a semi-common goal. He attempting to avoid the "band of adventurers slay the dragon" storyline since beating a dead horse only gets you a sore foot and a minor sense of satisfaction
Also I think he's trying to give the notation that having a character that relies on the help of other characters is a bad idea especially if your goal interferes with their own. Also if none of the other characters agree to go with you, you pretty much halted your own characters progress incidently. I think the idea is that eventually your character would cross paths with every other player eventually to create a web of arcs and ultimately building a world that would eventually be affected by the GM's hand later on (I'm assuming)

If two characters decide to travel together than your actually halting the progress of building the world around you. It may not of been intentional but it does happen.
That kind of reminds me of Coles power from Dragon age inquisition :) great game btw
Well I tossed my CS into the pile. If I get accepted, I'll be playing the son of a noble house if anyone wants to know. Most likely starting off in Aelholt

One last question, what is your character limit? 4? 6? 3 and a half?
