Current I love those times when you've got a few really good, high-potential stories in the making and all you wanna do is write. It's like all my stars have aligned.

I also feel like the idea that there is now a hypothesised generational divide between people who used to 'RP' on IM and people who write good content on forums is pathetic. Why start this crap?

You could also have long-form stories over text, however complaining about long-form, detailed posts (as this began as), seems both ludicrous and worthy of IM.

Sometime it's less about writing some shitty slice-of-life RP in IM, and more about creating a coherent and valued story among like-minded people. Something you'd need an actual platform for.

I always forget how quiet it is here in the British mornings. Timezones are not our friend.

Quick bump before I hit the sack for tonight.
Great!
This story is going to be, essentially, about six teenagers injected from refugee camps in the war-torn nation of Paipae to the comfortable suburbs and first-world quality of life found in neighbouring Shibla. The over-arcing plot would be telling the tale of their relocation and the difficulties they face along with the war playing an important part in the setting. You will have to be able to appropriately describe the situations you imagine would come from the backgrounds, such as nightmares, bullying, racial abuse etc. If you're wondering whether this has any semblance to the troubles in the Middle East, you are correct, and I will be declaring a strict rule AGAINST discussion of these events. No political views directly or indirectly pointed at the situation, and definitely not any discussion concerning the events, in support or not. The full history of the war and anything else necessary will be added later or at your request.

To recap, you'll be playing the part of one of many refugees granted asylum in a neighbouring country escaping the war, and will be documenting their lives as they transition from dirty water and bomb-shredded tents to four-bedroom houses and clean clothes every day.

Requirements:
1. Be respectful at all costs, to both the other writers and the content at hand.
2. Be able to write at a High Casual standard at the minimum.
3. Be comfortable with the adult themes and content which will appear. Expect strong language and strong violence.

Hope you are interested.
Sorry about that guys. These past few days really beat the shit out of me.

We're in a fictitious country. I'm pretty sure it's open to interpretation. @The Scotsman is in the UK though, so I'd imagine from his perspective the school is based on his own school system.

Although this is pretty true. I have no idea what the US education system is like, so what I'm writing is from my vague knowledge of it and my current understanding of my own education system, which is again different from Andromeda's. So it's kind of a mix-match, and I've been very blasé about the mixing pot of schooling that's been thrown together. Also my appalling lack of planning. We don't even know what the school plan looks like. I fucking suck at this. But I'm going to get round to mending all that at some point, and you're all coping fairly well with it anyway so I don't see it as a huge priority at the moment.
I won't be able to post until tomorrow, maybe Friday. Sorry guys. @Ariamis can railroad me if he wishes, or @Innsert for that matter. Just as long as you do Jim justice. No half-measures.
Nah, it's like a halfway country between America and Britain. I originally didn't think you guys would need it, but y'all keep pushing me so I should write something up for the country and school at some point... I won't be able to post until tomorrow, maybe Friday.

You shouldn't have too much of a problem posting a little something before Casey gets out. Stir up some trouble, interact with Henri, have Ben come up (hes an NPC, not my character), Idunno. This is a 'sleepy' rp, as in there isn't much action. The characters aren't driven by the story, the story is driven by the characters. There won't be any significant drive to your character other than what you create. As such if you can only post two sentences about entering the house and can only manage a nod at what someone has said (im looking at you Henri) then there might be a problem...

Alright, good point. I'll start on something the now.
This is suspiciously set up for some shenanigans, I must admit.

And by shenanigans I mean messing with the tv. We are gentlemen here after all.

I mean, what else are we here for? Fighting bears and playing with tv's.
Hey @Innsert, how far would you like me to take our characters? I don't think there's a helluva lot I can write about up until Casey gets out of the shower. Should I write until we're a little up the road? Just arrived at the cabin?
