I also feel like the idea that there is now a hypothesised generational divide between people who used to 'RP' on IM and people who write good content on forums is pathetic. Why start this crap?

You could also have long-form stories over text, however complaining about long-form, detailed posts (as this began as), seems both ludicrous and worthy of IM.

Sometime it's less about writing some shitty slice-of-life RP in IM, and more about creating a coherent and valued story among like-minded people. Something you'd need an actual platform for.

Just to clarify, there's two infantry regiments, a naval regiment, and an artillery regiment. Commander Blue will be taking control of one of the infantry which leaves an infantry, naval, and artillery left. I don't understand your second sentence though, apologies. My character is also being written as an infantry regimental commander but I can happily change it to artillery as it would require little editing.
@The Scotsman Thanks for your interest! I've seen you around the Guild here and there, I'd be comfortable giving you the Captain's position assuming no one else wants it.
I've sadly been missing the past few months due to starting a new college and a new job, but previous to that I was pretty regular. I'm trying to get back involved again and I do love me some sci-fi. I'll be keeping an on eye here anyway!

I'm currently developing a CS for a Regimental Commander (hope that doesn't soil anyone's plans) but it's becoming quite tricky. This is just a forewarning that when the OOC is up and I post the CS, be prepared for some reworking.
Colour me very interested. I'd also like to tip my hat for Captain if no-one else is applying, but I'm not set on that role, think of me as a back-up.
