Personality: A military man through and through, Thuycdides is a soul hardened by a long career of battle and scorn by his fellow Southrons. He prefers to lead from the front, unwilling to order to his men into any risk he would not take himself, and his dedication to the men and women under his command is unquestionable. He is somewhat cold and unemotionally professional to newcomers, but he's quick to warm up to those that earn his respect.

History: Born and raised in the heart of Louisiana, Thucydides Beauregard comes from a long and proud history of military leaders. For most of his life he grew up loathed by his fellow Southerners for his family's siding with the Union during the American Civil War, to which he responded with equal amounts of spite and a redoubling of his devotion to his country. At 18 he joined the United States Marine Corps, seeing it as the greatest act of defiance he could manage against those that had labeled him and his family traitors to his homeland.
He'd go on to enjoy a long and successful career, rising to the rank of Captain during the Spanish-American War. Fighting from the Philippines all the way to the Boxer Rebellion, where extensive wounds ended his career with an honorable discharge. For the next ten years he would act as a consultant and trainer with various militaries around the world, eventually meeting the illustrious Preston Whitmore. Taken in with the old man's dedication to finding the lost city of Atlantis, he agreed to take on the role of operational leader of the armed team, seeing it as the ultimate cap to his career.
