Background
Ysgrif grew up in the Firehand household with the will for battle. All his ancenstors had been great warriors (on the male side, with a few women mixed in) and he always felt that he was destined for great battles. He is a very religious man, always praying before shedding blood. Ysgrif stands at 6' even and has broad shoulders, dark hair and eyes, a fierce goatee, and weighs 200lbs. He is muscular from years of training and combat and tends to get angry when a battle doesn't go his way, resulting in him going blind with rage and giving into overkill. Usually, however, he can keep his anger under control and can be very diplomatic and cunning. After 6 years of being part of an actual army, he turned to mercenary work over a year ago and now is with this band of other Vikings to go into battle once more.

The year was 922. Exploration was big for the Nords. Expansion was a must for many countries, but not all could afford to expand so easily. Britain, the Gret-Empire-To-Be was in the midst of its own wars. Civil wars, mainly. It was weak, and a new ruler was soon to be crowned, if the country could be taken. Many Norse rulers wished to take this land for their own, but many did not have the power to do so by themselves. They required armies. They required Vikings such as yourselves. You are warriors of your kind. Even amongst te powerful Vikings, you are respected and feared for your prowess in battle. This is why you have been hired for a war. The ruler that wishes you to follow him will not allow himself to be named, but he wishes that you will do as he asks, in return for plenty of gold each and whatever you wish to pillage during your battles. Now, here you stand, weapons in hand and ready to board your ship, the Jorvik Lander, and are about to set off on the greatest journey of your lives, as it may be the last.

Im gonna try and at the very least make the story tie in with real events, but im not gonna do much more than that. I dont want you guys to feel like it has to go a certain way. And im adding a day on the production of the ooc. Computer troubles. Mainly the fact that mine didnt come back from the shop today >:( which is what i was expecting and why i was gonna do the ooc today

Itd be realistic. I was thinking a viking style game with its own large and one-on-one combat roles. Basically, you can literally go from chopping head of with an axe, to impaling a traitor on a spear to practicing your swordsmanship with your allies. Granted, we shall all be on one side to prevent anyone from fighting over deaths, as every fight will end in such. I have a story played out in my head, and i am wanting to play in a fighter's role in this. Mind you i will still be controlling the backstory to bring this to life, but my character shall be on the battlefield right next to you, my shield brothers/sisters. I plan on whipping (refusing to name the enemy just yet insert here) butt. Lol

Okay, so I don't have a story yet, as this was spur of the moment, but if I can generate enough interest, I can make a storyline. This is an rp I literally just had an idea for after seeing the show Vikings play a commercial on the History Channel. I thought "hey, wouldn't it be cool to roleplay vikings on a basic dungeon crawler? And so here it is. Who would wanna play?
