Meat the Wizard, Braud
Name: Braud Werst
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Race: Foodtopian (The Same as Human, in effect)
Personality: Braud is a very jolly man, though sometimes he can be a bit rash. It's all the testosterone in him. He's a great person to be around, and overall very fun. He's pretty carefree in most situation, but that doesn't mean he can't put together a good plan when he needs to. He's also not afraid to stick up for himself. If someone wants to talk shit, they gonna get hit.
Appearance: Braud Werst is, for lack of a better term, and for the sake of making a pun, a very meaty fellow. He stands at 5'5, and weighs about 250 pounds. He's very, very dense, and rather thick, but he would not be called fat by any standard. In fact, most of that weight is muscle, though he's not able to use it super well. Being in shape is just a by product of the kind of magic he uses. His hair is very short, cut military style, and a light auburn in color. His eyes are reddish, like a rare steak. He has a tendency to wear strapping leather clothes that allow a free range of movement, but still cover him up in full pants, and a long leather jacket/short sleeve shirt combo.
Braud isn't the most skilled person around, magic is more his domain. But some notable non magic traits would include;
Above average strength. All that muscle isn't for show. Braud can lift about 250 pounds and toss it with a good amount of effort. Combined with his weapons specialization makes him a pretty powerful battle mage.
Weapons ability: Braud is expertly trained in two different schools of weaponry. The war hammer, and the staff. The war hammer allows him to put his muscle to work and crush his foes, trading speed for raw power, and his training with staves and staffs allow for more quick defending and pinpoint hitting potential.
Master Chef: Braud, like all Foodtopians, is a master of the kitchen. He can take even the blandest of ingredients and turn them into something that would make any foodie drool. Especially involving meat, but we'll get to that in a second.
Intense stamina. Braud is a machine. His heart is more than twice as efficient as a regular human, allowing him to go for hours in combat without tiring. That's not an effect of being a Foodtopian however, that's a result of his magic school of choice, meat. Suffice to say, if he didn't have a heart as powerful as he does, using any magic at all would kill him.
- Braud's specialty lies in the sustenance of all true carnivores; Meat. Braud controls and uses magic that deals with meat, and meat based products. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but I assure you, it's very effective, though his real showstopper will be rather limited in a situation like this. To note: Braud does not require a staff to use his magic, but if he has a staff, he will. He thinks it looks cooler to pose with. Meat magic takes a lot of energy to use, which is why Braud is so....beefy.
Magic Meatball. Braud condenses his power and shoots a 10 pound overcooked meatball out of thin air like a cannonball. It hurts like hell, and it mainly used to take out limbs and for headshots rather than blowing a hole open in someone's torso. Longer charging time means a bigger ball and it catches on fire after a bit.
The Meateor; Braud's most powerful attack, and sadly, probably unusable unless he is able to get out of the dungeon. Forming a MASSIVE chunk of beef high in the sky, Braud lets it drop. This is like a 10 ton chunk of ground chuck hitting the ground at like mach 2. It obliterates anything it hits, causes Braud to immediately lose 99 percent of his energy, leaving him just enough to not pass out, and again, is unusable underground. This doesn't get stronger with charging, he needs to charge just to be able to use the damn thing.
Beef Up: Braud may have a couple of attacking moves, but his main use of magic is actually buffing and debuffing. Beef Up is a buff that can affect him and his party members. When used on party members, it infuses their muscles with magical energy, making them more efficient and powerful, allowing them to run faster, hit harder, and go longer, at least until it wears off. When Braud uses it on himself however, it has a much more dramatic effect. Braud very literally beefs up, gaining another 250 pounds of muscle mass as his body expands to about 7 and a half feet in height. His strength increases greatly, able to lift and chuck up to 700 pounds with ease. He can dash up to 40 miles per hour and his heart becomes even more efficient, allowing him to run for miles upon miles. However, while under the effects of being beefed, Braud cannot use any magic, other than to cancel the beef before it would normally run out. After Braud unbeefs however, there is about a minute long period in which he is horrendously tired and is very sluggish, whether he cancels it or it runs out normally. This makes beefing himself a very committed decision, because the consequences of doing it recklessly can be fatal. A no charge beef up lasts about 3 minutes, whether its on himself or someone else. Charging makes it more effective and last longer.
Dressing Wounds: With domain over meat, Braud can actually use his magical powers to help heal wounds on bodies. After all, bodies are a type of meat, right? Its honestly rather gross feeling, but it gets the job done. New skin/flesh/what have you grows back, knitting together to close wounds or push out bullets/arrows or things. Its not a super slow process either, far faster than healing normally, and can be very useful in keeping party members alive. Braud can also treat poisoning with it. The healing process actually speeds up the longer Braud has to concentrate and work on the issue, flesh healing and knitting together faster and faster.
Tenderizer: Braud concentrates and fires a phantom, silvery meat tenderizer, spikes first, at the foe. If it makes contact, it sinks into them, weakening flesh and armor, turning it into an almost goo. Enemies take more damage, do less damage, and move way slower. The downside is it takes a while to charge, Braud certainly won't be rapid firing these right off the bat. Extra charging means a bigger, faster, more effective shot.
Braud may learn other spells down the road with a bit of creative spurts and insight.
Weaknesses: First and foremost, Braud is slow. He's built to high heaven, but he can't run. Unless Beefed, he tops out at about ten miles an hour, max. He can hold this for a while because of his stamina, but you're not gonna be able to get his butt anywhere quick, so he needs to be watched in case some quicker baddie comes after him.
History: Braud was born in the land of The Cornukingdiom, an incredibly unclever combination of the words Kingdom and Cornucopia. The King is not a bright man. Anyway, this is where all of the Foodtopians live, masters of food and all things cuisine. Braud was born and raised here, joining the Royal Mage Army, specializing in meat, like his father and father's father before him. He made a name for himself as the premier mage around, made a lifelong friend in his buddy Gigglioti, the Noodle Knight, and set off for adventure!
My power was out yesterday and I was working today, which is why I've been mysteriously silent.
