The Gift of the Gods

Alura looked to the King as he spoke and nodded her head. "I will ride with Rhovanor. The caravan will need all the protection it can get. What's more dangerous than an elf and a bow? Now we have two." Alura said with a grin and a wink as she hopped up into the driver's seat. With a smile she relieved Rhovanor of his bow and arrows, slinging the quiver on her back. "My... This is good craftsmanship. My father used to make bows like this, the carvings almost look like his work. He used to be able to make the wood sing for him." Alura mused with a dreamy smile as she thought of her father. She pulled a dagger hidden beneath her billowy skirts that was secured to her thigh. It was fine Elven silver with a hilt made of ivory. In it was carved an amazing barrage of flowers all across the hilt. "He carved this too." She said proudly, looking to the dagger.

Alura watched the King walk off towards the city. "He's a brave man. Good heart, he will heal this land." The Elven maiden said with a definitive nod.

"I'm not dead, yet, Doc. I'll come in for a check up as soon as possible." Ravenia said with a wink. Her eyes went back to Ramera as the eldest of the sisters was in range. "Yes, Sun had a dream that there were Dead heading out way. We don't have a good time line as to when they'll show up but we need you and your sisters on alert for the next seventy-two hours. Each of you will have a twenty-four hour shift. We need sharp eyes from above at all time." Ravenia said as she looked from the eldest of the Harpies to a flash of white out of the corner of her eyes. She watched as Anora shot out off across the Red Waste towards something in the distance.

"Ramera, call all available Blessed Ones and Warriors to the gates. I want the archers posted high! The Dead are coming." Her voice was quick as she suddenly took off back down the wall towards a shed. "Doc, come with me! We may need your skills!" Ravenia called over her shoulder as she suddenly leaped off of the wall and caught one of the grappling lines, sliding down so quickly that she tore the flesh from her hands. She ignored the pain and blood and quickly raced towards one of the solar cars that Jacob had created for them. They were fast and dangerous when it came to the open land. He had even included a back up battery for night when the moon wasn't bright enough. "Gate Keeper, open the gate!" She called out, jumping it into the driver seat and quickly turning the vehicle on. She had the vehicle ready before the gates in a fury of flying dirt in no time, waiting for Tobias to join her.

She looked to Marcus next. "When Shay arrives have her man one of the vehicles instead. I'm going to get to the children first and have the Doc bring them and Clo back. I'm going to divert them away back across the Red Waste. I'm gonna need a ride." Ravenia said, flashing a wide smile.

And gonna be thinking about a good twist in this first fight. Something that will affect the roleplay as whole.

Ravenia nodded at his words. "No, the medical center is an important building. The people will understand. Just No unnecessary lights, only use them when you're in the room." She replied with a nod. "I wished you would let us train you, Tobias. With your skills youve already acquired and your powers, you could become a warrior in No time." Ravenia thought aloud. "And I bit it pretty hard. It will need to be glued up, again." Ravenia said with a little frown, thinking of the horrible taste the glue left in her mouth. She was such a baby when it came to get herself treated. There were many times when Ravenia would avoid the Doctor and he would have to come track her down to tend to her wounds. Getting stitches or vaccinations were the worst. She shuddered at the thought of needles. Lord she hoped she wasn't due for a shot...

Hearing a familiar voice call to her, Ravenia turned to see Tobias making his way to her. Good, she could have him prepped as Well in case they had any injuries. "Tobias, good I'm glad...." Ravenia's words slowly fell off as she eyed the taold swishing behind the Doctor. With a quirk of her brow, Ravenia felt a mischievous smile creep across her face. "My, Tobias, I never realized how happy you were to see me until now." Biting her lip, she shook her head with a smile. "Im sorry, that was inappropriate. "

Clearing her throat, Ravenia became serious once more. "Little Sun predicted a horde attack within the next few days. The city will be on strict lock down. I'm going to need you to cover all windows in the medical center to block any lights you may use at night. During the next few days Jacob will not allow the city to use power for lights. Candle light is permissible in households, but No city lights. The medical center will be the only building with this access. I'm also going to need you on standby just in case we have any injuries. The next few days will be tough. Hopefully, we can get through this without too many injuries... And more importantly, without anyffatalities." Ravenia said, once again chewing on the inside of her cheek as she was in deep thought. She tasted the familiar metallic taste of blood in her mouth as she realized she had bit down too hard. Wincing slightly, Ravenia looked around at the others of her camp.
