The Marauders (2016)

8-Ball gave a hard crank at the pipe with his wrench to stop the air pressure from leaking out further. This is the third one he's found on the ship in the last month. Sooner or later he would have to replace the whole system for the ship, and he was the one who was going to have to fix it... Another twist and the pipe was locked back into the main connector. A sigh of relief came out of him, before it blew open again. The air now coming out as a fog, concealing the bot. This time he gave it a hard turn and quickly reached in his shoulder slung bag to retrieve the bonding tape. With a couple of wraps, it stuck to the actual connector. Hopefully for good this time.

He carefully took out his ship scanner, before all the alerts started going off. Without question he shoved the scanner back in his bag and began to sprint to Hanger 1, now running on all fours. Opening a com-link with Makobi, 8-Ball informed him of the existing problem.

"Excuse me Makobi, but the only shuttle that is fully operational is Shuttle 2. It is currently behind Shuttle 1, which has a coolant leak and possibly electrical malfunctions. I will be in the hanger in a few minutes to prep it, but we will need you to move Shuttle 1 out of the way."

8-Ball would probably be on the Ground team less often and mostly on the Monroe.

I was thinking that most times 8-Ball will be in the ship fixing it up and running maintenance, but if any technical issues are needed on the ground, then he might be of some help.

We could have a friendly relationship. Maybe due to how interested she is by him being a robot, but yet still acting like a human.

I've just realized I forgot to do the relationships section of my cs. That being said, does anyone want to establish any pre-rp relationships with Cassie? She's been on the ship for about a year now so she'll definitely know a few of the other crew members.

Appearance

8-ball has a humanoid shell with thin arm and legs. The legs have a hock, similar to a hound. 8-Ball has a artificial "skin" that feels more like rubber and acts as protection from scratching the metal underneath. On his back, a third eye pops up, used to help see in ducts without having to fully enter the small corridor.

Bio

Bio:
In the beginning, 8-Ball was created with the intention to be security for a small group that operated long ago in a traveling merchant vessel. It was odd due to his design was created as a remote controlled drone that was designed to fix vessels or larger space ports, but in his case he had more advanced framework placed in his shell.

Some time he was heavily damaged and left underground a small abandoned shack on a backwash planet. A Marauder found him by chance, while looking for a hide out for a deal gone bad. When he found the underground tunnel, there was pile of broken part and electronics. The pile turned to a trail, leading him to 8-Ball standing offline at a charging station that must of died decades ago. Thinking him lucky to find such a valuable piece of scrap metal.

Day's later 8-balls lifeless husk was brought upon the Marauder's ship and reactivated, only due to the interest of a few tech heads. What they found was strange and unsettling. This Bot had advanced combat subroutine, protocols, and even a list of targets to be "ASSAS". They could only assume he was actually a fabled Murderbot, but before the thought of trashing him before he became more of a threat then a assets, they also found many programs subroutines, and functions that held hundreds of ship designs and ways to fix or Jerry rig any problem they could have.

The Bot has been with the Marauders for some time now, being a extremely efficient mechanic. One that doesn't need to be fed and better yet. Paid! Now in days, only the commander knows the shady past and potential for damage he could cause. Although his skill much outweighs the cost.

Personality

Personality:
Whoever created 8-Ball had a sense of humor and probably wanted a body to talk too. While most bots have per-programmed sayings, 8-ball can actually hold a conversation. While some might be disappointed if they try to ask him his view of life, he could strike a keen interest in anyone who has never met a bot of his caliber. He also can drink and smoke, using the fluids to cool down his body, or act more human. One of the most impressive features is him understanding humor and can even detect when most are being sarcastic by the tone of their voice.

-Tool set: Anything from a wrench to a Promethium Blow torch. Almost never used for combat, but a screw driver to the head would hurt most.


-88 Special: Found already holstered to his body upon his discovery. This 5 shot revolver hold some sentimental value to 8-Ball as it never leaves his mechanical hip, no one really knows why. It fires basic ballistic rounds.

The Creator- Before being reactivated 8-Ball, A single memory was created by the original creator of him. In this memory the Creator tell him only one thing. "You are now free..". 8-Ball only can remember the man being younger looking, but with Gray hair, depicting him to actually be older. He is most likely dead, but for some reason 8-Ball thinks he may meet his maker soon enough.

Name: Jakob "Grey Ghost"

Appearance: Even with his long black hair, the rest of Jakob's pigment is grey. Neck down his whole body is riddled with scars from multiple augmentation ports and receivers designed for his Armor. The most notable feature in this sickly looking man, both his legs have been taken away from under the knee. Now only two short rods stick a foot out. A bold tattoo of XLIII is placed on his cheek.

Personality:
Jakob is usually a quiet individual. Looking around on how others act and interact with each other, rather then doing it himself. Not to say he doesn't do it on purpose, it was just always hard connecting with his brothers and sister, especially when he one of the few that possess no real powers. When forced into a situation he cannot get out without embarrassing himself, Jakob is quite nice to talk too. With his softer voice and relaxed attitude on almost all thing, most people don't mind his company.

In his suit, Jakob is clearly changed. Since the suit's mainframe links with the brain of Jakob, causing his personality to change to a more open person and a joker. He best describes it as: "Being on laughing gas, but not wanting to laugh...or having all the fun.".

-Gungir Cybernetic Power Armor: Created by the Government with God bones and rare metals. While other Antigods were made by genetic manipulation to create powers, Jakob was one of the rare individuals that were made to be able to live multiple augmentations to their body and survive the process. Specifically special Power Armor that was never possible with normal Humans. Increasing his speed and strength to super human levels, while also providing armor plating.
-Gungnir HUD: The pressurized helmet of the GUNGIR power armor gives Ghost with a supply of information in realtime. It also provides different visions such as Night vision, Xray, and Heat.
-Gungnir Ghost Cloak: The reason the title "Ghost" was given to Jakob is due to the suit's advanced stealth camouflage technology that is capable of rendering the user virtually invisible to the naked eye. Any small object that comes within contact of the suit also takes the ability, but too many items reduce the overall all quality of the cloak and can overload the device. It is meant to be used in short burst of a few seconds to a minute max, any longer can also possibly overload the device.

-Govt Issue MP 99: A large pistol that holds 7+1 or 1+2 Projectiles of either:
+ Reaper .50: Made for Gods and fiends. While weak against greater beast's body, it can produce results in smaller targets and smaller areas of large Gods (Knee, elbows, eyes,etc)
+ Phoenix 3 Gauge: While only being able to load 2 in one magazine, this shell is made to penetrate the beasts armor or thick skin then setting it aflame, weakening it.
-Forearm Blades: Bones from a fallen god, sharpened and wrapped in titanium fiber. Placed on the forearm and retractable when needed.
