Appearance: Amber's appearance is eccentric to say the least. She dresses like something out of a fairytale, with bright vibrant colours and strange accessories including a strawberry handbag and a large polka dot bow. Her hair is a bright blonde that extends down past the waist of her small 5 foot 4 frame and compliments her piercing blue eyes well. She has a thin physique and slightly pale skin. When she gets angry it's not unusual to see a crackle of electricity across her body.
Personality: Weird, odd, strange and peculiar are just a few of the words used to describe Amber. She is extremely positive, to the point of being excited for the littlest of things like seeing a food she likes or a friend she hasn't seen for a period as small as 2 days. She dislikes negativity and despises bullying. She is always quick to reassure and stick up for her friends, even for the littlest things and has also been known to put herself in harms way to help or protect her friends.
On the inside it's a different story though. Amber can get very depressed and is nowhere near as confident as she portrays herself to be. She is constantly worrying about what people think about her, and any comment no matter how small about her or her appearance can make her paranoid for weeks on end.
History:
Amber's history is one no one would expect, and one few people know about. She was born on a farm in Mistral, with the entire family having to work from the early hours of the morning until late at night. She attended school when she was of age, something her parents detested. Amber often points to her parents for many of the problems in her life. And for good reason, they were not only terrible parents, but also terrible people. They only had Amber and her brother so that it would lessen the workload on the farm.
They treated their children like they were nothing more than slaves. They would constantly degrade and make fun of them, leading to many of the confidence problems that Amber has today. The worst part of it was that whenever family came over or there were reunions they were forced to stay quiet under threat of beatings.
Life was terrible for Amber, she wasn't even allowed to visit her friends from school unless it was important. Relief came in the form of her deus ex machina of an uncle. He was a hunter who hardly ever got into contact with the family. He despised his brother and the only reason he came to visit was to see Amber and her brother. Amber felt safe around him, like even if her father attempted to beat her he would come and save the day.
She broke down in tears, telling him about the years of torture she had been put through and how she had to wear a smile every time someone asked about her parents or her life. Her uncle went ballistic, beating Amber's father to a bloody pulp and berating her mother to tears. He took Amber and her brother away, to live with his wife in Valewho happily accepted the responsibility after hearing about the terrible life the two had had.
Amber was awestruck by Vale and it's high tech surroundings. Being that she wasn't used to the social and fashion conventions of the city, she began dressing and acting rather strangely. The accepting and progressive people of Vale saw nothing of it, accepting her with open arms and even celebrating her diversity at points. When she expressed interest in becoming a hunter her uncle was thrilled, sending her immediately to Signal Academy and even helping her craft her own weapon.
Her time at Signal Academy was the best of her life. Her classmates were often just as strange as her and she even got her first boyfriend while there. She displayed great skill with her weapon
'Excalibur' and aced the entrance exam to Illuminate Academy.
She's only been there for a small while now, but feels she's fitting in well at the school.
Weapon:
ExcaliburExcalibur is a large claymore sword with a 'dinner plate' machine gun embedded in it. The weapon is irregular among hunters as it only has one form, rather than changing from the claymore to the machine gun. It stands at just over half the height of Amber, but is light enough to be wielded expertly by her.
Semblance: Amber's semblance is to generate and manipulate electricity. She is able to embed her weapon with this or even throw small balls of electricity at enemies to zap or stun them. She is also immune to electrical damage to a degree, with yellow dust still damaging her albeit to a slightly lesser degree and natural electricity damaging her to a much less degree.
Dust: Amber doesn't use dust.
Other: Her favourite food is, of course, strawberries.
