@Framing A Moose I think we're supposed to be a fifth team until the others need spots filled. I would get some clarification on that though.
Why FLRK as Flare, when it can be KLRF as Colorful?
Edit: Seriously, silent K? I mean, I saw RFLK, but...the "tion" at the end seemed a bit much (colorful bothered me, too)
Edit 2: Yeah, I probably won't fill that last spot. I leave and come back to 4 pages already. I'll probably just read this one. ><
Name:
Xanadu Revua
Nickname:
Xanadu insists on people using her full first name, though some people call her Xana against her wishes. *Cough**Cough* You can also call her Dances With Wolves. *Cough**Cough*
Age:
17
Race:
Human
Appearance:
The first thing that most people notice when they look at Xanadu is that she is a very unclean individual. She usually has dirt under her chewed fingernails, chunks of dried mud in her often messy red-orange hair, and stains on whatever outfit she happens to be wearing. Her appearance quite obviously gives away the fact that she is a major tomboy, one who sort of wants people to know that that's what she is. It is also worth mentioning that Xanadu is a short girl, standing at around 5'1", and has a strong, slightly masculine frame. In day-to-day life, she prefers to wear jeans and a hoody, often in her signature Xanadu color, along with her emblem, which is the head of a wolf with a crossbow bolt in its mouth.
Her combat costume is honestly not anything special. It looks a bit like a military uniform. It contains a button up shirt, shorts that go down to her knees, fingerless gloves, and hiking boots, all of which are Xanadu colored. In addition to this, she also smears mud all over her face and legs, though no one knows whether she does it to actually help her with camoflauging or just to make her feel like a badass.
Personality:
Xanadu isn't really what one would call a nice girl. In fact, she's a bit rude. She's very blunt, and somewhat relentless at times. This, paired with her naturally intimidating and unapproachable appearance, has caused her peers to have a hard time engaging in conversation with her, leaving her friendless, save for Coal, her wolf companion. Not this bothers Xanadu much, as she never was really a people person at all.
But just because she is unkind doesn't mean that she's a bad person. In fact, Xanadu is quite a good person. She has the heart of a hero, even if she only shows it when another is in need, and immediately hides it back up as soon as the job is done.
But whether she is in her hero mode or her villain mode, one trait is always clearly there, visible in everything she does and audible in everything she says: passion. It leaks from her, always assuring everyone around her that she's doing her best, that she is always doing her best, whether it's something she likes or not.
History:
Xanadu was born in a small, lone hut in the wilderness outside the borders of Vale. Her mother, a human woman named River Revua, died in child birth, leaving her to her father, a man by the name of Obsidian Revua, to raise her alone. As she grew, it became quite obvious to her that her father would have preferred having a boy, but since he recieved a girl, he simply decided to raise her as if she were a male. He trained her in the art of combat, taught her how to use a crossbow (though he never allowed her to use Wild Shot, the crossbow that he used), and showed her how to do everything, up to helping her unlock her aura.
Their relationship was perfectly fine for the first 10 years of her life, but one day on her 11th year, Xanadu's father voiced his opinion on her gender, mentioning during a little quarrel between the two that he'd rather have had a son. And that's when Xanadu reached her limit. When he had fallen asleep that night, Xanadu stole Wild Shot, her father's favorite hunting crossbow, along with every crossbow bolt and dust bolt they owned, and left home.
She ran miles and miles through the night, trying to get as far away from her home as she could. At about dawn, though, she collapsed from exhaustion, passing out entirely. When she awoke, it was early morning. And right there in front of her was a growling wolf, black as the night, ready to pounce on her. She raised her crossbow and prepared to shoot, but then, she felt something inside her crack open. Somehow, she could feel the wolf's emotions. It was scared. It didn't have anywhere to go. It had no family or pack. And the wolf seemed to feel the same emotions in her, as it stopped growling and instead looked sad. That day, Xanadu discovered two important things: her semblance, and her best friend, a wolf named Coal.
Years passed, and with them, Xanadu and Coal grew together, both physically and emotionally. They mainly survived in the wild, living off of the prey they hunted around the forest. They'd sometimes go do odd jobs in whatever small villages they came by in order to buy more bolts, but other than that, they stayed away from society. That is until Xanadu showed interest in being a Huntress. It was then that they decided to move from outside the borders to the kingdom of Vale, in order to better get an idea of what the occupation would entail. It was there, at the age of 16, where she first got involved in a battle school. In her opinion, it sucked. She wasn't very good at building the things they wanted them to build, failed when it came to the academic classes, and made no friends whatsoever. And despite enjoying all the sparring and fighting, she still ended up dropping out. The next year, however, she decided she'd try again, this time with Illuminate Academy. So she took the entrance exam...and she didn't do so hot. She rocked it when it came to the combat related sections, but everything else she failed at. She was disappointed. That is until, some time into the first semester, she recieved an acceptance letter, offering her a part in the Reserves program. So she took it.
Weapon:
Wild Shot: The Wild Shot is a dust-compatible repeating crossbow that was originally created by an adept mechanic, who sold it to Obsidian Revua, who eventually lost it to the thieving hands of his own daughter, Xanadu Revua, who possesses it now. This crossbow can hold 10 bolts at a time, and launches each one with incredible power. This crossbow can also break apart into two smaller crossbows, each holding only 5 bolts, which do less damage than the bigger crossbow, but can also be used to swiftly block blows from melee attacks. Xanadu's bolts are kept in a quiver slung across her back, which she can easily access. These bolts are made from metal rather than wood, as metal is much more effective.
Semblance:
One with the Wild Xanadu is able to sense the feelings (not thoughts, but rather feelings) of a wild animal, giving her an insight on their emotions. In addition to this, she can share emotions with wild animals, and give them inspiration, passion, and a dash of anger, which often causes them to aid her in this cause. And no, this does not work on Fauna.
Weaknesses:
Ignore her, for she...yeah, she's dumb: Xanadu...is definitely not the brightest light bulb in the light bulb box. This often causes her to mess up on things that take intellegence.
Ranged: Xanadu's attacks are almost exclusively ranged, though her smaller crossbows can be used in close quarters if necessary.
Dust:
Fire Bolt: Causes an explosion of fire upon impact, causing more damage than an average bolt.
Ice Bolt: Freezes anything within a certain area in a large ice crystal on impact.
Wind Bolt: When this bolt is shot, it brings a massive amount of wind with it, often knocking enemies back. The effect stops if the bolt stops moving.
Lightning Bolt: Upon impact, the bolt electrocutes the enemy hit. If there is a being relatively close to the creature hit, the lightning travels to them as well. This goes in until there are no longer enemies close by.
Other:
Well, when it comes to food, Xanadu prefers things that are served on sticks, and preferably have been cooked over an open fire.
Name:
Coal
Age:
Unknown, though he appears to be a young adult.
Race:
Wolf
Semblance:
Big Bad Wolf: Coal, for a few minutes every combat, can grow to the size of a Beowolf, which increases his strength and speed.
Other:
Coal also likes meat on sticks.
Also, forgive me for not making a full CS for the wolf. I didn't think it was needed.
Alright! It has been done! Tell me if there are any problems! ^_^
@Framing A Moose I'm not sure if this was in canon, but I'm not sure if animals can have semblances. I could be wrong (I really need to binge RWBY again after Re:Zero).
<Snipped quote by Mr Allen J>
Animals do have Auras, but it's not shown yet if they can have Semblances, but I'm going to say it wouldn't be too farfetched for Animals to have Semblance it's just rare.

@LupusIntus Does KK shoot up on acid every morning?
Jesus. lol
KK is high on life... like really really high all the time. XD
<Snipped quote by LupusIntus>
I'm going to have Jaden be legitimately perturbed by KK.
Anyways, this wouldn't be RWBY if there wasn't a bunch of stupid shipping bullshit™!
So, who wants to go first?
JADEN X BRAN FOREVER
