I think I need a new razor. Shaving feels like rubbing a slightly pointy eraser against my face five times.

Just noticed that my total amount of reactions recieved is equal to the amount of reactions given. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

Nothing quite like powering through an assignment through sheer anger at having to do it

I'm...maybe interested. Will follow for now.

EDIT: well, alright, i'll join.
The attack on Berlin had left everyone at the NYPD in a state of near-panic for the past few days. Joe had been feeling it too, his daily briefings on the threats of radical Islamic terrorism being replaced by several emergency meetings on the alien menace. He had been stuck in conference rooms, trying to reassure public officials that the city would be safe, and trying to come up with a plan in case something like Berlin happened in New York. It was after getting home from work one day that he got the call.

The whole affair reminded him of his experiences working with the CIA in Iraq. He had barely had enough time to fill a duffel bag with essentials before being whisked off to join a top-secret, multinational military organization. While it meant he would have to leave home, along with his childhood dream of being a cop, some part of him was glad to be back on the frontlines. Plus, it meant he could take the fight to those alien bastards.

Walking into the barracks, he felt a sense of nostalgia to the beginning of his military career, which seemed like so long ago. He made an effort to shake everyone's hand and try to get to know them a little. They seemed like a nice bunch, although the one girl- Amiya, that's her name- clearly wasn't a people person, and didn't seem too impressed with him, he thought. After talking to everyone, he looked around at the group. "Hey, thanks guys. I'm sure we'll all get along great...like Kahele said, one big happy family, yeah?" He said in his thick New York accent, smiling.
Will multiple squads work together on the same mission?
Well, I'm just going to wait for the first IC post.
Well, that's a shame.
Makes sense. We could probably communicate more smoothly on there.
Well, i'm the only one in the North America base.
@McSamsonite Yeah, I get that. But anyways, that's the only problem I had with it, so now you just have to wait to be approved.
@McSamsonite I think you could replace the parts about him reaching out to his contacts with him being contacted by XCOM instead. Unless his contacts are extremely high ranking politicians, they wouldn't know about XCOM. Meanwhile, XCOM would probably be interested in him, as he's a survivor of an alien attack.
Pretty good stuff. You'll have to wait for the GM to come and approve them before you can post them in the characters tab.
