And maybe she can ask every new person at the school to stand up. Like, first years, students that just enrolled to their later years (that's possible, right?) or otherwise. Isaac continued his conversation with Talon, enjoying the exercise his eyes were getting, catching Talon's subtle gestures would usually take more energy than he was actually diverting to it, but the conversation was fairly surface level and as such the gestures were among the more obtuse in their silent language. Scanning the room and keeping his senses trained on the newbie at the table, Isaac noticed the new teacher, the attractive one that appeared to be about his own age, whom he had spotted walking around earlier, and whom Isaac had originally mistaken for a student but deduced otherwise, admittedly most of that deduction was due to the adornment of her hand, the ring that only teachers wore. He saw her glance over at him, he glanced back and flashed a smile of white teeth, and threw in a playful wink while he was at it. It appeared to calm her, her countenance previously had held a nervous curiosity, not unlike that of Isaac's when Isaac had slain his first Dragon, the beast in this case, or so Isaac imagined, was the beast of the imminent school year that would come with the following months.

Isaac turned back to his food, fully satisfied that there was nothing immediately threatening the security of the banquet or it's members beyond those that he couldn't pick up with his finely tuned senses, he turned back to the food and finally let himself enjoy the feast, continuing his conversation with Talon, and letting it get less and less surface level as he continued.

I just thought that the Academy, knowing that at least one undead would be present, had thought ahead and had graciously served the delicacy to sate James's Appetite and Frieja, not knowing the difference between boar and longpig (apparently a common euphemism for human meat, who knew?) took some......what scares me is that she seemed to enjoy it.

I mean, you could always just get a nice side dish with the meat too, I mean... I recommend some sort of rice, perhaps jasmine, saffron? If of course potatoes aren't enough but I'm sure a hungry man would eat it all.And then wash that down with some red wine, and fruit salad, well recommended Thedreadpirate :PAll in favour of eating Guy? "WHA AHHH" Jack said as he suddenly snapped back to attention "wha, what's up Cap?" He said before registering the words that his captain had said, his attention had been split by the sounds of the Television, the magnificent cold of the beverage in his hands and against his lips as its wonderful chill slid down his esophagus and disappeared into his stomach. He took a moment to steady himself, and to make sure that that exquisite liquid didn't come back up that same esophagus, Jack had a feeling that it wouldn't taste as good the second time around. After reclaiming himself, he took another swig of the delicious liquid and answered "Not this time, she's actually just getting used to the parts we just put inta her, we replaced some pretty important parts last time we restocked" Jack explained and then continued "It's like......imagine ya' got this new, better than ever, ticker inside ya, just put in ya, works better than ever, problem is yer body's not used to it, it's used to yer old, janky heart, so it takes some time for it ta readjust to the new, improved, version, that's all Blue's doin Cap', readjusting." Jack explained in his strange, little bit of everything accent.

Jack thought a moment before adding "I got a couple of guys I know on Ganymede, I could maybe drum up some business fer us there" he volunteered and then added, a little less sure "It might not be the most.....morally sound, job in the world, but they're men of their word, and they owe me a favor or two, can't guarantee it'll be career makin' but it'll at least be a job" Jack turned back to the television, watching as the two ridiculously dressed actors on Big Shot signed off.

In my defense, I would do this if I were being eat IRL too, even if it was by a half-Illiterate, Hulk-like Figure (not that James is, it just adds more emphasis to the statement to say it like that)

"You're the one who kept me in a freezer for 4 days, now I have to thaw"
"THEN GRAAK EAT?"
"No, we've been over this, after that you lightly season me with spices, Mash some potatoes, and put me and then potatoes in an oven, and wait a few hours for me to be cooked both inside and out, make sure you take the potatoes out before though, otherwise they'll burn, then you take me out and wait another hour for me to cool, then you pour some wine and put out some fruit, put me and the potatoes on the table, drizzle some sauce over me, THEN you eat me"
"MAYBE GRAAK FIND LESS OBNOXIOUS MEAL......"
"Well if you do, put me back in the freezer or let me go, otherwise I'll go bad, you don't want that"

With all this spice and meat, you're going to want something to wet your whistle, something cool and simple, something to counteract that complex spice-filled meal you have, perhaps some Red Wine, or a side of fruit salad.

Isaac's eyes were hard at work, but he loved it, training was his passion, tests and puzzles to solve, and that's all this was. He smiled to himself as he watched the interaction between James and Old Lady Ell, as well as the one between the swarm of girls and the two students who had started a fight earlier, he chuckled at the antics of the one as he saw the girls focus visibly shift from one to the other, then he watched the other behave strangely, 'Must be a lightweight" Isaac reasoned with himself, All the while making sure to keep himself fed, and carrying on a silent conversation with Talon, it was a language they had developed subconsciously over the years, it required no words whatsoever, only normal, barely noticeable body movement. A nod of the head, a slight movement of fingers, a show of new scars, a swipe of the arm, a hand running through thick, slick, hair, a touch of the mask etc, etc.

Then, Isaac, saw a student hurriedly enter the banquet, it was a large affair so the student hadn't made much noise, but Isaac it was enough to gain Isaac's attention. The student originally looked like he had been looking for somebody, but couldn't find them. As the student sat down, Isaac recognized the distinct look of over-calculating nervousness, a similar expression to what he, and many first years, had had on his face during his beginning tenure at the Academy. Isaac eyed the first year, raising an eyebrow as the student sat down near him, shrugging inwardly Isaac reached out, and grabbed another piece of meat, unfortunately placed near the carnivorous Dragoid, as Isaac fought his way through the throng that was the eating Dragoid's atmosphere, he waited to see what the student would do, if anything.
