"Oh? And what kind of books do you read?" Autumn asked, her voice all kinds of suggestive, before she giggled. "Well, you're interesting enough," Autumn assured after a moment. "Don't worry about not being wild or crazy. Some ponies just want a nice, mostly normal pony to curl up with." She grinned squeezing Ley in the hug a bit.

Autumn chuckled. “Sounds like some assistant. Isn’t usually the boss that’s the crazy one?” she asked teasingly. “Or are you the silly one when compared?” There would be a thought that was both scary and hilarious if Ley was actually the crazy one if they were compared to each other.
@Carlsberg

Autumn giggled. “No, there’s nothing I had planned or needed to do,” she told Ley. “And things that explode, surely it can’t be that bad?” She was rather unaware of the fact that Sky’s projects and explosions tended to go very much hoof in hoof by the nature of what he liked to mess around with. Namely, the practical applications of high energy magics and spell harmonics. “Are you worried he’ll blow himself or the hotel up if you’re not there to supervise him?” Autumn teased lightly.

Autumn giggled. “Well, you weren’t so bad yourself,” she said, finally beginning to fully wake up, a process that was sent spiralling into confusion as she looked across the room at the other bed. More specifically, the thing laying ON the bed. “Is that a breach loading potato cannon?” she asked, sounding perplexed.

It looked like a potato cannon, but the barrel was currently open in the centre, as if ready to accept something into it. It was also way too big to be a muzzle loading Thunderlock Rifle (not to mention the fact projectile weapons making use of chemical or magical propulsion were highly illegal for anypony outside Spec Ops guard members expecting enemy engagement). She shook her head, as if to bring herself back to the topic at hoof. “So, what are you planning to do with your free day? There are no presentations or things you need to get done today for the Convention, right?” she asked.

On that day, there was nothing that any of the attendees had to get done that was not requiring maintenance of experiments or equipment that they’d brought along for the various presentations. Ley’s day was more or less free if she didn’t have any equipment or experiment maintenance. Set up for presentations would occur in the half hour before the presentation was set to take place (done through Convention staff help), so Ley didn’t even need to worry about that.

[OOC: Please read the most recent OOC post. I’m going to be adding a quick thing in there for quick references back to various bits of lore and headcanons that affect the RP. I’ll let you know whenever I add something relevant.]

“Definitely see you around,” Sky Runner said to Quartz with a grin, closing the balcony door and exiting the room by simple process of tossing himself off the balcony so he could do a morning flight and find a cloud to rinse off with before he went looking for breakfast.

[Sky Runner and Quartz Exit scene (and RP for the time being). We'll talk on Discord about Quartz. :P I might just have reason for him to go from NPC to PC. :D ]

Equestrian Projectile Weapons Technology

Given certain references in the show (including the existence of Pinkie’s party cannon and RD saying she wanted a pet ‘as fast as a bullet’ and Tank was named such because he’s ‘tough like a Tank’, I’m going to put The Missing Legacies Universe Equestria’s standard weapons tech at about Columbus’ time in history. Flint lock weapons and naval cannons, but most of the rest is dealt with by much older methods due to unspecified circumstances. Nothing more high-tech than a flintlock rifle for single pony weapons, when it comes to black powder, and magical weapons are not much farther ahead.

As for the legislation surrounding them, Equestrian has outright outlawed any projectile weapon that is gas or magic propelled, so nothing more powerful than a repeating crossbow (which seriously toes the line) is allowed to be used in the country, outside of Equestrian Navy and Airforce cannons on the air and naval vessels. Things like potato cannons are exceptions, because law defines a projectile weapon in terms of metres per second projectile speed, and type of projectile fired.

Autumn grumbled softly, not willing to wake up, though Ley’s words had begun the process. After a couple of seconds, the earther blinked blurrily. “Oh, hey,” she said softly, smiling tiredly, though brightly, at Ley. “How are you feeling?”

“Morning,” Sky Runner said, glancing over at Quartz, goofy grin still in place. He stood with his wings partially extended to catch the breeze coming off the valley deep below. “Seems kind of weird to have the civilian waking before the guard, no?” he teased lightly, glancing over at Quartz with an impish smile to match his tone.

They eventually managed to make it up to Ley’s room. The rest was a haze of pleasurable colours and fireworks…

The next morning dawned. Autumn had ever been a late riser, and was the day was off for her to boot, so she felt no need to get up when she woke up. Not unless Ley said something or was already up and moving or had woken the earther. Though to be up and moving would require the waking of Autumn as Ley had seemed to be designated as Autumn’s cuddle buddy at some point during the night and earther strength was nothing to scoff at, though until and unless Ley tried to get up, it would be a gentle holding of the unicorn to the earther.

Sky was always an early riser. Even if he stayed up late, he was up by six for a quick morning flight and breakfast. Even now, with another stallion, he still awoke practically with the sun, though he grinned goofily as he came to and the memories from the previous night came back to him. If he wasn’t being held too tightly, he’d carefully slip out of the other stallion’s embrace and get up. He really couldn’t stay lying down after he’d awoken, even if he wasn’t going to be the type of dickish pony that snuck out.

Quartz’s room was a small bachelor suite style room that employees usually got. It had a small, though nice enough, kitchen, a couch and a clearly issued, though quite large, cot. It also had a balcony off the back of the mountain, despite being an employee room.

If Sky woke up before Quartz AND managed to get off the cot—which was far more comfortable than it had any right to be—he could be found out on the balcony, looking out into the valley below.
bumpity bump.

"Oh, often enough. I need to have my fun, and you'd be surprised how many ponies hit on the bartender," she told Ley Lines with a teasing smile. She took a step closer once more and nuzzled Ley's ear, before whispering quietly, "So, you wanna show me where your room is?"
@Carlsberg

Autumn followed Ley out. She quickly took the lead and proved to be a rather exceptional dancer when it came to the types of dances coming over the speakers. It would only be a few dances, dances full of energy and movement—provocative movement on the part of Autumn—that the statuesque mare leaned in close to Ley Line’s ear. “Your room or mine?” she purred.
