Sirius, looking quickly down at the situation below, noted that one of the attackers was a human. As he continued through the top of the trees he finally found the other one. He flanked around to the strangers back and got as close as he could to get a good look at the attackers accomplice. The figure in front of his was quite short, their ears pointed, like his, but much longer than elf ears. There skin was a deep forest green color and a high pitched cackle could be heard as the second attacker pulled back it's bow string. "A goblin?" Sirius thought quietly to himself, "Why would a goblin and a human be working together?" As he was pondering this, he quickly grabbed the goblin, covering it's mouth and making it drop it's bow, the strung arrow driving itself into a tree branch. As all of this was happening the human laying on the floor just writhed in pain, not even looking towards the demon girl.
Urtum watched as the transport dropped down, gently hovering over the ground. The transport opened up and the Salarian climbed in, sitting down inside. He smiled at some other soldiers standing inside the transport and waved the rotting body part at them like he was saying hello. The soldiers throw their hands up in shock, shaking there heads at the alien. Urtum just shrugged and waited as they took of towards their destination.
Once Sirius found a nice spot on the tree, he was able to just barely see who was attacking them. They definitely weren't elves, but he still couldn't get a good enough view to see what they were. Luckily for him though, the attackers weren't able to see him, which gave him the advantage. Sirius quickly pulled out his bow, pulling back an arrow and aiming at one of the mysterious figures. He let the arrow fly and it seemed to hit his target in the leg, causing it to slip of the tree and hit the ground with a thud. "I'll leave that one to miss crazy." He spoke quietly to himself as he moved across trees to get a better look at the rest of the attackers.
As Toshiro continued with his work day, Ino and Ryu started talking. They talked about their past, their favorite things, you know normal conversation topics. And Ryu made sure not to mention anything about the "monsters" and the "powers" Toshiro had acquired. They seemed to be getting along swimmingly, not to mention their taste in food seemed to be oddly similar, which didn't hurt. The people in the shop started noticing, all the regulars of the restaurant were staring over at the two, wide eyed in awe. This was the first person who was ever allowed to sit at Ryu's booth, let alone communicate with the youngster.
Urtum looked over the alliance operative seeming to size him up, "Would this Alliance Base have science lab? Testing samples required." He lifted up what looked to be some body part he had taken from the things in the mine. It disgustingly flopped around as Urtum moved it around, "Need to know what creatures are. Where they come from."

A.L.I.S. spoke up, "Forgive the Doctor for his strange behavior, he's never been good with interacting with others. But he does have a point. Any information on the creatures would certainly give us an advantage over them in a future conflict, if one arrives."
Yeah, definitely understandable.
It's no big deal, bad days happen. I understand.
It's not dead. Sorry I haven't posted, just been really busy. Next time just ask if I'm available and don't jump to conclusions.
Urtum spun around towards the voice, seeing the human he gave out a barely noticeable sigh of relief, "Good, good. Retrieved emergency transmission. Very good." The Salarian spun around, looking throughout the dark mine, "Suggest we take specimen, mister... Angelo yes? Do tests, figure out where they came from?"

A.L.I.S.'s voice chimed in, "Maybe now isn't the right time, Doctor. We should go with the operative, find somewhere safe and see if we can't get a bigger team to retrieve your specimen."

Urtum nodded, "Yes, makes since. Probably wouldn't live long with just two... Okay," He nodded his head, "Lead the way then." He gestured to the human waiting for him to lead him away from the area. In the back of his mind he was a bit disappointed that he couldn't stay and study the creatures, but it was inevitable. He'll just have to come back later.
Sirius looked over at the girl for a second before looking back at where the arrows were shot from, "That's one way to describe the situation." He let out another volley of arrows as he made his way to the opposite side of the path and slid behind a tree. Another arrow flying towards him and piercing the tree Sirius hid behind. The young elf looked around his cover to look at the Demon and whispered to himself, "She better know what she's doing." He slung his bow over his shoulder and began to climb the tree he used for cover. He needed to try to see who was attacking them, maybe if he could get high enough he could get an advantage while he's at it.
