Surya watched as the action started to unfold, then she ran to where she had the advantage- the trees. She allowed herself to transform as she climbed, and hung on the end of a branch. She waited for just the right moment to leap. She saw one of the bandits attempt to choke the bear man (she took a mental not to learn their names at that moment) and jumped onto him, bitting into his arm. She was venomous, but it wasn't anything that could kill a human. She imagined it would cause some numbing, though. She bit down until she heard her teeth scratch his bones and then released, being careful not to take any of the mans flesh with her, and threw him off of the bear. She jumped off of him him and onto her next victim, repeating the same process.
Surya raised her eyebrows as the boy kept talking, "Alright, alright. Surya. I'm just traveling, looking to find myself and somewhere that accepts me. I've been traveling days now. Just stopped here to rest. Then I met this guy over here, who informed me of Bandits. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, now would you?" He asked in a cocky tone. Surya made a face that shows she was rather unhappy with what he said. He whispered to his larger friend, which Surya didn't interrupt so that she could collect her thoughts, "So, come now. Out with it. What do you know. Spill it."

"You're never going to be accepted anywhere with that additude! Just who the fuck do you think you are!? And yes, I happen to know a lot about the bandits. I even know where they're camped, where they travel, and who to trust. But you know what? I won't tell you any of that. Pro tip, if you want people to accept you anywhere, fix your fucking additude." Surya said, folding her arms and slightly leaning.
I don't know what to do because I don't have anything to respond to. I've sort of ended up in a position where I really can't do anything until the meeting starts.
"What's your deal girl? What bring you out to this forest?" The smaller guy asked Surya in a tone she could tell was caution, but unfortunately he did it in a manner that pissed off Surya.

"My name isn't girl, it's Surya! Here's a tip, when someone tells you their name, you call them by it!" Surya said in a way that showed just how insulted she felt. She then breathed, attempting to calm herself, "I live in these woods. It's not exactly the nicest place, but I don't think anywhere else really fits me." She explained, which wasn't exactly a lie, but she wasn't planning on telling the whole story, "But enough about me, what are you doing here?" Surya asked, even though she didn't share a lot about herself.
Surya was disappointed. What an anticlimactic conversation. She figured she would follow them to see if anything of interest happens, she had nothing better to do anyway. She stealthily followed the pair of strangers until one guy, Jasper if she heard correctly, suddenly stopped, "If you're a friend show yourself, if you're not prepare yourself for my ax cuts deep." He yelled as he pulled out his ax.

"Well I guess now is a better time then never." Surya mumbled to herself as she jumped from a tree and reformed into a human, slowly walking onto the path, "Name's Surya. Impressive senses you have there, most people never know I'm there."
Surya glided from tree to tree, moving around at a rapid pace. She slowed as she heard heard walking below her. She saw a man walking down the dirt path in an exhausted manner. Surya slowly and silently followed him through the trees. She was curious about him. She was always curious. But if she's learned anything, it's that you should be careful around people, especially people in the woods that don't look the friendliest. He eventually stopped in a clearing, and Surya was tempted to go in and talk to him, but someone got to him first. Surya just decided to sit back and watch the event play out, maybe join in if it's worth the effort.
Name: Surya
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Animal: Paradise Flying Snake
Appearance: Surya is 5'4" and is incredibly slim, to the point the some people may think it's unhealthy, but she's actually very healthy. She was born into one of the wealthier families in the village, and it's very well shown through her outfit, which is very colorful, but not very glamorous by our standards. She has long black hair, ivory skin, and a face you could only describe as sly. When in animal form she has lots of black and green scales with red ones in a flower shape long her spine. Her legs become a tail and the rest of her body has scales along it, and her brown eyes turn into a golden tinted black and she grows fangs.
Bio: as mention, she was born into a rich family and had lots of people surrounding her. She always stuck with her close friends and was kind to those who were kind to her. But she was very mischievous and attempted to break a lot of rules, but she rarely got in trouble for it due to her high social status. Sometimes she would mind getting in trouble, though. She was also a very clever thinker, and those who were decidedly unfriendly where in a word of trouble because of her. Her cunning is what kept her secret for so long. But even she couldn't hide it forever, and it's not easy to dodge around her parents, 5 siblings and her friends. She herself discovered it while playing tag with her friends, and they decided it would interesting to play in the treetops. She was it, and she saw one of her friends over a pond. She instinctually jumped from the tree and found herself transformed and gliding to the other side without even thinking about it. She hid until she transformed back into a human and decided it was best to hid it. She was eventually found out when someone caught flying through the forest and told every, leaving her an outcast for the next three years.
Is it to late to join because I want in on this I just need to think of an animal.
Whitney tried to contain his illness throughout first period, but it wasn't at all easy. He could barely lift his head without a wave of pain flooding through him. He slowly got up when the bell rang and dragged himself down the hall, keeping his head low. He felt like some sort of weird sensory overload was going on in his head and it seemed doing anything except lying down with his face covered in a quiet place was too much. Unfortunately this didn't make the halls quieter or the light dimmer, and he considered calling his mom after all.

Lost in thought, he didn't focus on where he was going and stumbled into Pen, who didn't seem all that affected considering she was a lot stronger than him. He was about to look up to give his usual unfriendly glance he realized who she was and that she looked just as unpleasant as he did. He noticed she carried an extra backpack with her, one that could only belong to David. He figured this illness and his group had something to do with one another, and he sighed.

"This is affecting our group from yesterday, isn't it?" He briefly paused for what appeared to be a moment of thought. "I'll go along with whatever dumb thing you'll plan, I've got nothing better to do." Whitney walked past her to get to his next class. He realized that if this, whatever this is, is going to keep bothering him, he's going to need the trust of those people whither he liked it or not, and if he was going to earn it, he needed to do what he hated most.
"I remember my own childhood vividly... I knew terrible things. But I knew I musn't let adults know I knew them. It would scare them."- Maurice Sendak

This is an RP about a group of children living in a world much different then our own. In this world children aren't raised by their parents, but are sent to facilities where they are raised by volunteers until adulthood. The reason this happens is long forgotten and simply accepted by everyone. People often never find out who their parents are except for a fortunate few.

Your group is part of The Delseg Institution of Growth, one of the bleaker and underfunded institutions. Children are often expected to help around the Institute due to being understaffed and often have little free time. The children are separated in groups and are supervised by one adult. There are a few other staff members and three other groups, but those are the only inhabitants for miles.

So what's the goal? For one reason or another that your character may or may not have discovered, you want change. You don't want these Institutes or these groups. You have to find out why this is happening and what you can do to stop it.

Notes:
~ This is a low casual RP, but you certainly don't have to limit yourself
~ The characters in this RP are from 4-17, as children arrive at four and leave when they turn eighteen.
~ I'm going to be trying to roughly be keeping track of time, but it won't be heavily implemented as I want to be able to simply toss the idea if I find it too challenging. Not sure why I would, but rather safe than sorry.
~ I'm thinking of having about 6-8 people participate in the RP and want at least 3 or 4 people to show interest before creating the OOC.

Thanks for reading the thread and I hope to see you all in the OOC!
